<p>This article aims to investigating the effects of perceived quality, risk and relative price on the perceived value and purchase intentions of mobile phones. The population comprises 293 persons of Business Administration MA students from the Islamic Azad University of Zanjan.</p><p>The questionnaires were validated using face validity. In addition, the reliability was calculated using Cronbach Alpha, Split-half and Test- re-test. To analyze the data, with SPSS and LISREL software, Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analyses (to identify the effective factors) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) (to test the hypotheses) were calculated</p><p>The findings indicate that perceived value does not influence purchase intentions. Perceived quality, perceived relative price and perceived risk do not influence purchase intentions through perceived value. Perceived risk, perceived quality and relative price all influence perceived value. Relative price influences perceived product quality and the latter, in turn, affects perceived risk. The results of the study show that it is essential to develop an understanding of value in the purchasing process. Moreover, the risk should be reduced to a minimum. </p>

Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the impacts of product knowledge, perceived quality, perceived risk and perceived value on customers’ intention to invest in Islamic Banks. This study specifically examines an Islamic bank’s term deposits. Design/methodology/approach Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data collected from 217 customers of an Islamic bank in Indonesia using an online survey. Findings This study highlights the central and dual roles of perceived risk as both the independent and the intervening variable that mediates the relationship between product knowledge and Muslim customer intention to invest in an Islamic bank’s term deposits. Research limitations/implications This study only investigates term deposits as one type of investment in Islamic banks. This study contributes to the literature by examining the role of product knowledge, perceived quality, perceived risk and perceived value on Muslim customer intention to invest in Islamic term deposits. Practical implications The results of this study highlight the requirement for Islamic banks to educate customers to improve the depositors’ product knowledge because Muslim customers’ risk and value perception and intention are strongly influenced by product knowledge. Originality/value The investigation of perceived risk is particularly relevant for Islamic financial products because of the inherent nature of risk sharing in Islamic finance. This study investigates the role of product knowledge in influencing the Muslim customers’ perception of risk, quality, value and their intention to invest in Islamic bank term deposits. Ideally, the profit loss sharing concept (PLS) should be applied; however, in this context, revenue sharing is applied because of Indonesia’s central bank regulation.

In recent years, fashion department stores have struggled to sustain their foothold in the competitive market due to changing consumer behavior as well as technological advancement. This study aimed to examine customers’ perspectives on the shopping channels of omnichannel fashion department stores. The analysis was based on data from 552 customers who shopped at U.S. omnichannel fashion department stores. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were utilized to analyze the hypothesized relationship. The results showed that brand attitude mediated the influence of perceived fluency of customers’ purchase intentions in the omnichannel fashion department store setting. Content consistency and process consistency also positively affected customers’ perceived fluency of the channels of those fashion department stores. Customers are more likely to purchase from a fashion department store that provides consistent content and processes across the multiple shopping channels from which they can purchase merchandise. Further, customers value consistency of the content and processes across all fashion department store channels. The results are insightful especially for industry practitioners, as it enables them to develop a sustainable omnichannel business strategy by focusing on the depth of the channels and channel consistencies (content and process) while improving customers’ purchase intention from their stores.

This study determine the effect of green perceived value and green perceived risk on green repurchase intention mediated by green trust in customers of The Body Shop products in the Special Region of Yogykarta. The independent variables are green perceived value and green perceived risk. The dependent variable is a green repurchase intention. Green trust is a mediating variable. The population in this study are customers of The Body Shop products. Sample collection is done by area sampling techniques by grouping DIY into 5 groups, namely Bantul, Gunungkidul, Kota Yogyakarta, Kulon Progo, Sleman and the purposive sampling with the criteria of having made at least 2 purchases of The Body Shop products number of 150 respondents. The data analysis method used in this study is structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of this study are If consumers feel the benefits of a product towards the environment is high, it will increase trust and repurchase in the product. If consumers have a negative perception of a product that is high it will reduce trust and reduce interest in repurchasing the product. Consumer trust in products can mediate consumer ratings of the benefits received, negative perceptions and repurchase in the product.

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of perceived quality toward customer loyalty which is mediated by perceived risk and customer trust for PT. XYZ that engaged in chemistry. There are four variables perceived quality as the independent variable, customer loyalty as the dependent variable, and perceived risk and customer trust as mediating variable. The sample was determined by purposive sampling method, the questionnaire was well-collected and was used in data processing using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with Smart PLS 3.0 program. This analysis was conducted on 115 respondents as customer of PT. XYZ. Based on the result of the study, it was found that perceived quality, perceived risk, and customer trust have influence towards customer loyalty, perceived quality have influence towards perceived risk and customer trust, perceived quality had an indirect effect on customer loyalty via perceived risk and customer trust.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to study the important factors which help explain consumer intention and use behavior in mobile banking (m-banking) adoption. All constructs of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 are studied. Non-monetary value is studied through perceived value. Trust and perceived risk are also included to predict intention. Design/methodology/approach A questionnaire was utilized to evaluate customer responses on a five-point Likert scale. A convenience sampling technique was used to collect data from a sample of 490 respondents in Pakistan. The data were analyzed using AMOS and SPSS for Cronbach’s α, CR, CMV, AVE, Harmon’s single factor test, correlation and structural equation modeling. Findings The results of the study show that most of the predictors of intention, including perceived value, performance expectancy, habit, social influence, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation (except for facilitating condition), perceived risk and trust, are significant. All predictors of usage behavior are significant. Research limitations/implications A cross-sectional study was conducted due to time constraints. Practical implications Bank managers must focus on improving customers’ intentions to use m-banking as well as on providing facilitating conditions to increase its actual use. To boost mobile banking, banks’ management must consider the customers’ habits while designing their m-banking products. Originality/value The findings of this paper are not only interesting in terms of boosting m-banking diffusion rate, but also in terms of financial inclusion of the vast majority of mobile users. Further the impact of intention, facilitating condition and habit were checked on actual use behavior since people tend not always to act upon their intentions.

Consumers’ evaluations of their favorite sport team’s contests are influenced by the value that the team provides to them. The current research contributes to the sport management literature through conceptualizing and measuring the dimensions that influence the perceived value consumers link with their favorite sport team’s games and testing the explanatory ability of this perceived value on their satisfaction with, and commitment toward, the team. Five semistructured expert interviews were conducted to conceptualize perceived value dimensions and measurement items. Next, a multidimensional Consumers’ Perceived Value of Sport Games scale (CPVSG) was developed and tested across two studies with football (soccer) consumers (N1 = 225; N2 = 382) in Germany. Results from confirmatory factor and structural equation modeling analyses indicate that five dimensions—functional, social, emotional, epistemic, and economic value—reflect perceived value dimensions that consumers associate with sport team games. Results also indicated these perceived value dimensions were predictive of consumers’ satisfaction with, and commitment toward, their favorite team. Thus, this research adds to the literature by providing the multidimensional CPVSG scale and demonstrating its value in explaining variance in attitudinal outcome variables.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationships among destination image, perceived quality, perceived value, satisfaction and revisit intention of sport tourism in Iran. Design/methodology/approach – Statistical population of this research consisted of those tourists who traveled to Mazandaran province in Iran as a sport tourism destination in 2012. A random sample of 1,250 tourists was asked to respond to questionnaires from which 886 accurate questionnaires were used for analysing data. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to explore the relationships among the research variables. Findings – The results showed that sport tourists’ perception of destination image, perceived quality and perceived value influenced their satisfaction and revisit intention positively. Originality/value – The results of this research help to better understand the behavioral intentions, which can be an acceptable basis to increase sport tourists’ visit and revisit of a sport destination.

The present study examines the relationships between the psycho-behavioral constructs underlying undergraduate students’ reading interest. The a priori framework for conceptualizing the sub-components of reading interest is based on two modes of reading (printed-text-based and also Internet-based), and three types of psycho-behavioral motives/intentions of reading (affective, cognitive, and behavioral). Participants in this study were students (M = 20.14 years old) from an Indonesian university (n = 993). Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses show the salience of 10 factors across reading modes and psycho-behavioral domains of reading. The most accept-able SEM models that explore the relationships among the sub-components of reading interest have the student reading interest in the print mode preceded interest in reading online materials. Implications of these findings are discussed for theory development and practice.

<div>This study aimed to develop and validate the Aesthetic Competence Scale to measure students’ Aesthetic Quotient. A total of 654 undergraduate students participated in the survey. In phase 1, participants completed a 40-item Aesthetic Competence Scale intended to measure the four factors of Aesthetic Quotient, namely, music, drawing, literature, and film. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted to eliminate items with low factor coefficients and generate a concise instrument. In phase 2, confirmatory factor analysis was used to validate the revised questionnaire. The findings of the exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses supported the hypothetical factor structure of the Aesthetic Competence Scale. All subscales of the Aesthetic Competence Scale showed good internal consistency reliabilities. Concurrent validity was evaluated by structural equation modeling, which examined the relationships between the Aesthetic Competence Scale, emotions, and creativity. Purpose The study aims to examine the consumers’ attitudes toward halal food products based on tripartite model. Regarding this, the effect of halal food awareness, perceived risk and behavioral tendency on attitudes toward halal food products are investigated. Design/methodology/approach 343 valid questionnaires were obtained. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed to ensure content validity, and structural equation modeling was progressed to test the relationships among variables through IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 and AMOS 23.0 software. Findings Research validates the tripartite model of attitude and suggests attitude toward halal food is formed by predominantly behavioral tendency and partially psychological drivers, rather than cognitive elements. Research limitations/implications The characteristics of participants should be different and larger sample may provide some other results. The product or service context should be different, for example, halal cosmetic, halal hygienic, halal tourism. Practical implications Trigger messages may put forward in marketing communications activity for halal food products marketing and halal certificated food brands need to establish their distribution networks effectively to get closer with consumers. Originality/value Attitudes towards halal products represent the key driver of consumer behavior for the development of marketing strategies in certified halal firms addressing both domestic and foreign markets. It is the first study examining Turkish consumer attitudes toward halal food product using tripartite model in the field of halal consumption behavior. The paper offers a different methodological framework and it could be potentially of interest for scholars, marketers and policy makers.
