<p class="apa">Much attention is now given on producing quality graduates. Therefore, outcome-based education (OBE) in teaching and learning is now being implemented in Malaysia at all levels of education especially at higher education institutions. For implementing OBE, the design of curriculum and courses should be based on specified outcomes. Thus, the challenge for the assessment is that it should be capable of measuring whether intended outcomes have been achieved or not. Likely, by assisting lecturer in preparing examination paper that aligns with the specified outcomes is something that can help to ensure the implementation of OBE. Hence, this paper describes the development of a tool for generating question examination paper based on learning outcomes, called Learning Outcome-based Question Examination paper Tool (LoQET). LoQET is proposed for assisting lecturer in Universiti Putra Malaysia for preparing examination paper based on programme outcomes and learning outcomes set in the teaching plan and assessment entries.</p>

This paper aims to analyze the effect of investing in balanced skills on the probability of success of entrepreneurs within the context of Vietnam. By not taking this possible linkage into account, previous researchers have underestimated the effect of general and specialized skills as learning outcomes from formal schools and higher education institutions on the probability of success of entrepreneurs. Additionally, the effect of balanced skills – a combination of general and special skills – on the probability of success of entrepreneurs in Vietnam does has not attracted much of scholars’ and policy makers’ attention. Data provided by GEM helps this paper analyze the effects of learning outcome and balanced skills on the probability of success of entrepreneurs. The empirical results support the theory of entrepreneurship that invests more first in general, special skills and then balanced skills will increase the chance of success of entrepreneurs.

Computer simulation as both an instructional strategy and technology holds great potential to transform teaching and learning. However, there have been terminological ambiguity and typological inconsistency when the term computer simulation is used in the education setting. This chapter identifies three core components of computer simulation, and develops a learning outcome-based categorization, linking together computer simulation's technical affordances, learning opportunities, and learning outcomes. Exemplary computer simulations in higher education are identified to illustrate the unique affordances, opportunities, and outcomes of each type of computer simulation.

A good learning programme is essential in achieving high quality education. A learning programme is developed based on different learning outcomes and environment which in turn require different learning methods. Outcome Based–Education (OBE) form the design, constructions, communication and learning, and teaching documentation to be in line with the defined outcomes to enhance and maintain learning quality in this study. Students’ learning was determined in a survey using a Likert scale with current designed to measure students enhancement in predetermined learning outcomes quantitatively as well as qualitatively. The outcome results show the effectiveness of the OBE in enhancing the student understanding. Further analysis involving other criteria such as course and programme outcomes may provide feedback to improve the curriculum, teaching and learning activities generally. Key words: Outcome Based–Education (OBE); course outcome; program outcome; teaching and learning process; outcome measurement

The research question of this paper is - How can we better help professors with developing course descriptions and how we can help study program directors to reach study program aims through learning outcomes? This issue is very common for all Latvian higher education institutions as well as other higher education institutions outside of Latvia. It became clear after reading the new changes of the Law of Higher Education of the Republic of Latvia that two major changes had to be made first in course descriptions: updating the course descriptions to the new requirements and creating a mapping of the study programs. The decision was made to start work on a Course Management System. The goal purpose was to create a Course Management System that will help professors with developing course descriptions and will help study program directors to reach study program aims through learning outcomes. At first together with students the authors did a detailed analysis of the system and then developed it. Now the system is ready for implementation. Thanks to the developed system at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences has solved several important issues related to the course descriptions. For study programme learning outcome alignment with study course learning outcome will be used matrix method. CMS is web application what is developed using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and CSS frame Bootstrapare, PHP framework Laravel and MySQL.

The purpose of this study was to increase the learning outcomes of IPA in the Ecosystem Balance mate-rial through the application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model for class VI students of SD Negeri 1 Manggeng for the 2017/2018 academic year. The research methodology is Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles and each cycle consisting of two findings. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The data collection technique is to collect test scores that are carried out at the end of each lesson in each cycle using a question in-strument (written test). The learning outcome data were analyzed by means of percentage statistics. The results showed that the completeness of student learning outcomes increased from 66,67% in the first cycle and increased to 83,33% in the second cycle. The application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model can increase the learning outcomes of IPA in the Ecosystem Balance material of class VI SD Negeri 1 Manggeng for the 2017/2018 academic year

Abstract Age-friendly University (AFU) campuses are reshaping how we think about teaching and learning in higher education. In particular, intergenerational classrooms are on the rise as shifting age demographics call for institutions to create new opportunities for older learners and encourage intergenerational exchange. Age diverse classrooms have distinctive needs and dynamics that instructors, and students, will need to learn how to navigate. This presentation will describe outcomes of one AFU institution’s attempt to identify the challenges and triumphs of intergenerational classrooms through facilitated instructor and student reflections in different classrooms over the course of several semesters. Recommendations will be offered for enhancing intergenerational exchange in classrooms across disciplines, as well as evaluating attitudes, logistics, and learning outcomes. Part of a symposium sponsored by Intergenerational Learning, Research, and Community Engagement Interest Group.

Many students find it difficult to accept fraction material from the teacher because student are more receptive to material through the surrounding environment such as fruit, bread, marbles, stones, etc. The purpose of this researchs to determine student learning outcome whether thereis influence when use the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model of mathematics subject matter in the 4th grade SDN Jombatan IV Jombang. This type of research is PreExperimental Design, the design used is one-group pretest -posttest design. The study focus on student learning outcomes in fraction material with the CTL model. Based on research that has been done, it can seen than more than 90% of students can achieve KKM value. In testing the test-t if the value of t is greater than t table then the hypothesis is accepted. It is evident from the results of the study that tcount = 5.344219271 and ttable = 2.178812827, which means that it has a strong signification shows that there is an influencer on student learning outcomes. The one-party test, it turns out that tcount falls in the area of acceptance of Ha, which the result test shows menunjukkan thitung ˃ ttabel so that the conclusion are Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be said that learning uses Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) can affect of student learning outcomes.
