Technology and the use of internet has taken counseling service beyond the face-to-face to online counseling services. Online counseling has been available and widely used as more people are going online. Therefore this research aims to examine the perceptions of University of Jordan students toward online counseling. A sample of 210 respondents were selected to complete online questionnaire that contains two aspects of knowledge about and attitude toward online Counseling. The results of the study indicated that respondents have adequate information about the field of online counseling. However, face to face counseling was not the first preferences for most of the respondents. They have a positive attitude and a high level of preferring toward online counseling, and they believe that online counseling is an essential part of their way to deal with daily life problems. The results also indicated that social media is most effective way that help respondents to get online counseling, and it has tremendous effect on respondent's life.

During in COVID-19 pandemic, counselors switched the face-to-face counseling process to online counseling or in terms of guidance and counseling, namely cyber counseling. The application of cyber counseling services can be the right solution when psychological problems require immediate resolution. This cyber counseling service can also be applied by education counselors. This research was conducted to determine the application of cyber counseling during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the counseling process and media used by counselors. The method used in this research a literature study. The results show that the cyber counseling process is almost the same as the face-to-face counseling process, but several things need to be considered, such as the preparation stage which includes the availability of supporting and adequate hardware and software. Furthermore, the media used by cyber counseling can be in the form of applications, websites, telephones, chat what apps and video conferencing, and other social media. The advantages of cyber counseling can be accessed anywhere and in an adjustable time, the counselor can reach a wider range of counselees. Counselees and counselors can carry out the counseling process when and where by mutual agreement, although in the counseling process it is sometimes without signs and physical the counselee is easier to express thoughts and feelings. The weakness is that the diagnosis is less accurate and the intervention is less effective because the instructions and directions are given are less specific and non-verbal information becomes difficult to provide. Cyberspace provides a completely different platform for the expression of one’s needs in comparison to the face-to-face world. The use of cyberspace by teenagers is becoming a major concern due to the emergence of engagement in deviant use of internet applications inclusive of engagement in sexting; excessive and addictive use of the internet, consumption of pornography, and as well as phenomena of internet chat rooms. The online disinhibition, anonymity, personality factors, sensation-seeking behavior, impulsivity, deviant socialization processes, and absence of social systems to educate adolescents about gender sensitivity and sex appear to predispose teenagers for indulgence in deviant usage of cyberspace. There is an urgent need to understand the factors related to deviant use of cyberspace and for offering programs for parents and adolescents on gender sensitivity, sexuality, sex, consent in relationships, and deviant use of internet applications. Such initiatives will help to offer opportunities for a corrective experience through appropriate socialization experiences and enhance cyberliteracy among children and adolescents.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many employees to introduce different degrees of teleworking, leading to a transformation of the psychosocial work environment. In this study, we analyzed whether the relationship between a labor resource, social support, and a personal resource, vigor at work, is affected by the work modality (face-to-face, hybrid that includes face-to-face work and telework time, and telework caused by the current pandemic situation). Five hundred and forty-three employees answered an online questionnaire about their perceptions of the levels of social support, vigor experienced in the last month, and work modality. Seniority in the organization and the gender of the employees were controlled for. The model fit was significant [F(7, 535) = 20.816, p < 0.001], accounting for 21% of the variation in vigor (R2 = 0.21). The interaction was also significant [F(2, 535) = 4.13, p < 0.05], with an increase of 1% in the explanation of the variance in vigor at work (ΔR2 = 0.01). Differences were found in the positive relationship between levels of social support and vigor at work, among the face-to-face and telework modalities (hybrid and telework), but not between teleworking modalities. As a result, we posit that the different forms of telework moderate (buffer) the relationship experienced between labor resources (social support) and personal resources (vigor at work). This implies that, for the design of teleworking conditions, it is necessary to provide work resources similar to those in face-to-face settings, such as social support.

In Japan, the implementation of the high-level radioactive waste (HLW) disposal is one of urgent issues in the situation that Japan will continue the use of nuclear power. But, the lay people may not have the sufficient amount of information and knowledge about HLW disposal to hold their opinions about this issue. In this research, in order to clarify what opinions they will have with enough information and knowledge, we had the face-to-face dialogues about the HLW disposal with 2 or 3 lay persons. The dialogues were conducted 11 times with different lay persons’ groups. In these dialogues, after the lay participants had a certain amount of knowledge about HLW disposal, they became to talk about their opinions to the HLW disposal program in Japan. These opinions included the doubt against the open solicitation to select the siting area in the HLW disposal program of Japan, the emotion like NIMBY, the indication of lack of public relations about HLW disposal, and so on.

<p>During the COVID-19 pandemic, guidance and counseling teachers are demanded to keep running counseling services using various alternatives of online learning applications. At the same time, parents as the main assistants in the online counseling process should actively encourage their children to have active participation. It is because the majority of parents consider that all the things related to school activities are totally teachers’ responsibility. Thus, the present study attempted to find, reveal, and describe the role of parents in the implementation of supporting technology for online counseling services during the COVID-19 pandemic. To do so, the researchers adopted an online survey method and cross-sectional technique to analyze the data of 350 student's parents in Semarang Regency as the respondents of this study. Counseling activities that we usually carry out are usually face-to-face processes, as the times develop, counseling activities turn into online counseling where counseling uses technology intermediaries including chat, email, video conferencing, audio, and so on. But in the future with highly developed technology that is rapidly advancing online counseling based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be born with a new breakthrough that is more effective and efficient in future online counseling services, for that in this article the author will discuss online counseling, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the potential use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in online counseling in the future, and differences in artificial intelligence and natural intelligence.

Information and communication Technology and the use of internet has added many values to the educational process. Many approaches has been developed for this purpose including e-learning, distant learning and recently blended learning. Many universities are adopting these approaches for teaching students. Therefore this research aims to examine attitudes of University of Jordan students toward blended learning. A sample of 250 students were selected to complete online questionnaire who have taken blended coursest hat contains aspects of knowledge about and attitude toward blended learning and a high level of preferring toward blended learning. The results of the study indicated that blended learning is useful to Students, and that most students fully understand the goals of e-learning through blended learning. In general the students have shown positive attitude towered blended learning. Furthermore, they have shown adequate information about the field of blended learning and to decide when and how to use the resources provided to them through blended learning. it also indicated that blended learning is more effective than traditional way of teaching to develop and improve the knowledge and skills. The results also indicated that electronic resources provide through blended learning is an effective way that help students to get knowledge and improve their skills, and it has tremendous effect on students life to take responsibility for their own learning process.

The proliferation of EMI degree programmes, which are completely taught through the medium of English, has risen steadily in Italy over the last two decades, especially at master level. Along with English proficiency, interaction and communication are key factors in the success of EMI programmes even though they have been matter of concern during the COVID-19 emergency, when all classes were suddenly forced to shift online. More specifically, students of EMI degree programmes in “Medicine and Surgery” and “Nursing” were impacted because they used to work and study in groups, to interact with patients and classmates and to receive immediate feedback from lecturers. Though unplanned, emergency remote education (ERE) has allowed students to attend classes and take exams. However, it has also shown that interaction and communication could have been handled better. First, this study aims to investigate how these issues were dealt with during the emergency; second, it enquires what lessons can be learned from the sudden transition onto digital platforms. After experiencing ERE, 102 students from various Italian universities have filled in an online questionnaire reflecting on how interaction and communication were mediated during online classes or video lessons. On the one hand, their reflections have provided insight into challenges for EMI pedagogy, which had already been identified in the face-to-face modality but were exacerbated during ERE; on the other hand, their suggestions could be useful to improve future EMI classes. Data has shown that specific training in digital tools, standardization of the lessons’ format, more interaction and investments in better platforms are considered to be key aspects to implement and promote in EMI courses in the forthcoming years.

A program-based approach to converting a site-based post-baccalaureate teacher education program to a blended format is described. While the face-to-face version of the program was able to serve a very limited number of prospective students in a predominantly rural area, the blended approach has attracted so many participants that double classes are regularly required to meet demand. Major issues covered include designing curriculum with regard to adult learning theories, balancing synchronous and asynchronous instruction methods, and developing adjunct faculty competencies. Results of a program evaluation based on survey data from students and faculty are included, indicating a high level of satisfaction with learning experiences overall, balanced by requests for improvements in course design and strong faculty involvement in both online and videoconferencing formats.

Fifteen elderly patients participated in a teleconsultation with an orthopaedic surgeon, which was then followed by a conventional, face-to-face consultation. The comparison between the surgeon's ratings for both types of consultation suggested that the telemedicine consultation was satisfactory in terms of the quality of image and sound, the clinical examination and general simplicity. The telemedicine consultations did not generate a need for any additional clinical investigations, although in two cases a face-to-face consultation was necessary to clarify clinical signs (shortening of a limb and scar tissue). The surgeon's rating of his decision level was superior in the face-to-face situation in four cases, and for 11 patients it was equal. Similarly, the surgeon's level of confidence in decision making was superior in the conventional situation for five patients and equal for 10 patients. Patient attitudes towards teleconsulting were favourable. There was a high level of patient satisfaction. Teleconsulting between orthopaedic surgeons and elderly patients therefore appears to be possible, provided that certain technical, clinical and psychological considerations are addressed.
