Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat rancangan media pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) berupa trainer Human Machine Interface (HMI) berbasis CX Designer yang terintergrasi dengan CX-Programmer. Desain HMI yang tepat akan membuat pengujian program lebih mudah dan efisien. Sebagai media pembelajaran HMI memberikan efektifitas informasi yang dibutuhkan, sehingga perencanaan dapat dilakukan dengan efisiensi yang maksimal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dan pembuatan rancangan produk berupa trainer untuk penguji program oleh mahasiswa atau operator. Dapat disimpulkan hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa penggunaan simulasi HMI berbasis CX Disigner dapat digunakan untuk memahami logika rangkaian suatu program dengan sangat mudah dan cepat untuk melatih ketrampilan pemograman PLC.

Pada penelitian ini memanfaatan PLC (Programable Logic Controller) untuk  monitoring  suhu  yang  diterapkan  pada  Building  Auto  System.  PLC merupakan  suatu  controller  yang  umum  digunakan  pada  dunia  industri.  PLC digunakan untuk memonitoring sistem kerja panel dalam satu gedung dalam jarak yang  jauh  dengan  memanfaatkan  komunikasi  PLC  sebagai  indicator  status ON/OFF  serta  pembacaan  suhu.  Sebagai  interface  antara  PLC  dan  user,  maka digunakan HMI (Human Machine Interface).Pemanfaatan PLC sebagai monitoring dilakukan pada sebuah gedung yang memiliki  sistem  kontrol  dalam  jumlah  yang  banyak  serta  memiliki  jarak  yang jauh.  Pada  penelitian  ini  dilakukan  pengujian  sistem  monitoring  menggunakan koneksi  PLC  To  PC,  PLC  To  PLC  dengan  PC.  Untuk  koneksi  menggunakan protocol  Modbus  serial  RS485.Aplikasi  yang  dirancang  untuk  sistem  monitoring ini  lebih  efektif,  karena  dapat  menghemat  waktu  dan  memudahkan  dalam mengetahui status suatu kontrol apakah bekerja atau tidak.Berdasarkan  hasil  Analisa  dan  pengukuran  respon  waktu  sistem  terhadap perubahan suhu untuk setiap kenaikan rata-rata 2,4 oC pada sistem koneksi PC to PLC  rata-rata  2,6  detik,  dan  Pada  sistem  monitoring  PLC  to  PLC  yang ditampilkan pada layar PC memiliki respon waktu terhadap perubahan suhu untuk setiap  kenaikan  rata-rata  2,3  oC  rata-rata  2,67  detik.  Sistem  monitoring  mampu bekerja pada jarak 100 meter Kata kunci : PLC To PC ,Monitoring, HMI, Modbus.

hingga industri. Salah satu penerapan perlunya mengendalikan level air adalah pada boiler suatu pembangkit. Berbagai pengendalian terhadap suatu besaran di industri tentu memerlukan perangkat pengendali. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)  Rancang bangun sistem kendali level air dengan menggunakan PLC dan Human Machine Interface (HMI) ini menggunakan perangkat utama yaitu PLC FX3U yang dilengkapi dengan input analog, output analog, dan output PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). Level/ ketinggian air adalah objek yang akan dikendalikan. Suplai air diatur oleh pompa air DC yang terdiri atas pompa inlet dan pompa outlet. Sedangkan untuk sensor ketinggian air menggunakan sensor ultrasonic HC-SR04. Untuk memudahkan pengoperasian PLC, PLC dapat dikombinasikan dengan HMI yang mana terhubung di dalam jaringan dengan PLC. Untuk aplikasi jangka panjang, rancang bangun sistem kendali level air berbasis PLC FX3U dan HMI dapat difungsikan sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas pada mata kuliah yang berkaitan dengan elektronika industri, PLC, maupun mata kuliah lain. Berdasarkan pengujian dengan menggunakan kontroler PID di dalam PLC, diperoleh hasil bahwa ketinggian air dapat dikendalikan dengan eror rata-rata sebesar 3%. Nilai tersebut disebabkan karena perilaku dinamik air.

The slicer control system designed for production plants to manufacture flap disks was investigated using programmable logic controller (PLC) and servo. This system has been mainly developed to achieve the automatic flaps’ cutting and setting. It is implemented by a PLC, a human-machine interface(HMI), a positioning module, and senors, as well as servo amplifiers and motors. In the present work, the effect of response time on multi-axis synchronization has been studied. It was shown that the use of parameter adjustment allows the obtainment of reliable operating characteristic and permits one to enormously improve the accuracy of feeding length and rotation angle. The control system has been provided for industrial applications.

Technological developments have brought changes in the industry, the process that was originallydone by humans has turned to the automation system. In this paper the application of the automationsystem is carried out on the processing of palm oil. The system is made in the form of a simulation ofan automation system using the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human MachineInterface (HMI). Automation of palm oil processing using PLC with the help of Unity Pro XLsoftware, monitoring processes using HMI with the help of Vijeo Designer Basic software, and analoginput simulated using a potentiometer. PLC receives and processes data from both analog inputs andfrom HMI. The process of cooking and extracting palm oil carried out by the PLC is displayed on theHMI. From the test results, it is known that the PLC can communicate with HMI and HMI can displaythe processes that occur in palm oil processing.

Energy efficiency of Induction motor (IM) is essential in the current scenario due to the reasons such as energy conservation and economic saving. In this project, the implementation of the safe speed control of IM is done. The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) monitors the speed and trips the motor under safety requirements. PLC is used to control three phase IM with the Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). The availability of drive data and software helps to manipulate and analyze process the information. The Human Machine Interface (HMI) is used for the visual monitoring and control of the induction motor. The PLC based control platform makes system to be communicated to other devices on network and makes the system more flexible for its operation and control. The results shows that, the speed of the induction motor varies linearly with the change in frequency in HMI and the motor trips if there is any human interference within 10 cm operating range of IM.

Every stage of the process that occurs in the industry requires control so that the system can run in accordance with the specified procedures. This can be found in control of food and beverage where the heating process must be implanted within a prescribed time. The heating process can take place in stages and each stage requires a temperature limit within a certain time duration. If the temperature stability is disturbed the resulting product will be damaged. This problem can be overcome if automation is carried out on the system using a processing unit, namely a programmable logic controller (PLC). In this paper, the temperature regulation system is made in the form of a simulation using Festo Compact Workstation module to regulate the temperature of the water heating process to keep it constant for a certain time duration. The system is equipped with a temperature sensor as PLC input which is then processed with a proportional, integral and derivative (PID) algorithm to activate the heater or cooler. This automation system is connected to the human machine interface (HMI) so that processes that occur in the system can be monitored and controlled remotely from the control room. Based on the test results, it can be seen that the temperature sensor has an error of 0.808%, the best PID parameters in this test are: Kp = 2.4, Td Ti = 55 and = 14. The test also shows that the system temperature can be maintained and the process can be monitored and accessed through HMI. Setiap tahapan proses yang terjadi di industri memerlukan pengendalian agar sistem dapat berjalan sesuai dengan prosedur yang berlaku. Demikian halnya dengan proses pengendalian suhu yang banyak dijumpai pada industri makanan/minuman. Proses pemanasan bisa berlangsung secara bertahap dan tiap tahapnya memerlukan batasan suhu dalam durasi waktu tertentu. Bila kestabilan suhu terganggu maka produk yang dihasilkan menjadi rusak. Masalah ini dapat diatasi bila dilakukan otomasi pada sistem menggunakan unit pengendali yaitu programmable logic controller (PLC). Pada makalah ini sistem pengaturan suhu dibuat dalam bentuk simulasi menggunakan modul Festo Compact Workstation untuk mengatur suhu pada proses pemanasan air agar terjaga konstan dalam durasi waktu tertentu. Sistem dilengkapi dengan sensor suhu dan sensor level air sebagai masukan PLC yang selanjutnya diolah dengan algoritma proporsional, integral dan derivatif (PID) untuk mengaktifkan heater dan cooler. Sistem otomasi ini terhubung ke human machine interface (HMI) agar proses yang terjadi pada sistem dapat dipantau dari ruang kendali. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dapat diketahui bahwa sensor suhu memiliki kesalahan 0,808 %, parameter PID terbaik dalam pengujian ini yaitu: Kp = 2,4, Ti = 55 dan Td = 14. Pengujian juga menunjukkan suhu sistem dapat dipertahankan dan proses dapat dipantau serta diakses melalui HMI.

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini sangat pesatdalam berbagai bidang terlebih di dunia industrialisasi.Teknologi dalam bidang konversi energi saat ini telahberkembang sangat pesat dalam memunculkan berbagai ideide kreatif untuk dimanfaatkan dalam bidang industri. Salahsatunya boiler, boiler adalah bejana yang digunakan untukmenghasilkan uap air (steam) yang akan digunakan sebagaipemanas atau tenaga penggerak seperti turbin. Salah satuperangkat kontrol modern yang dapat diterapkan dalamberlangsungnya proses produksi di industri saat ini adalahPLC (Programmable Logic Controller) sebagai kontroler danHMI (Human Machine Interface) sebagai alat untukmemonitoring kinerja sistem secara real time. Denganberkembangnya sistem kontrol pada suatu industri, makamodul miniplant boiler yang merupakan salah satu peralatanyang ada di indistri ini dapat digunakan sebagai mediapembelajaran di laboraturium sebelum masuk ke duniaindustri yang sesungguhnya. Pengontrolan suhu pada miniboiler merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting karena suhumerupakan parameter yang mudah berubah sehingga perludilakukan pengontrolan agar suhu dapat tetap stabil pada nilaitertentu terhadap berbagai gangguan sehingga tidak terjadikegagalan sistem akibat suhu yang terlalu tinggi. Untukmendapatkan respon sistem yang stabil, diterapkan metodekontrol PID pada sistem. Pada skripsi ini digunakan miniplantboiler dengan ukuran diameter tabung 15 cm dengan panjang30 cm dan kapasitas 5 L. Suhu yang dikontrol pada tabungadalah 100 °C dengan hasil nilai parameter PID menggunakanmetode Ziegler Nichols Sistem Orde 1 diperoleh nilai Kp =20.03, Ti =120 dan Td = 4,2. Dan dari grafik respon sistemdiperoleh karakteristik %error steady state = 0,1 %, time rise(Tr) = 2130 s, time delay (Td) = 900, dan settling time (Ts) =2370 s. Dari nilai parameter kontrol PID tersebut,menunjukkan respon sistem yang baik dan mampu menjagasuhu sesuai dengan setpoint yang diberikan pada HMI untukkondisi sistem tanpa diberikan gangguan atau diberikangangguan
