We discuss a subject of the quarks mixing in SU4∗SU4 and SU6∗SU6 symmetries trying to calculate the quarks mixing angles and the complex phase responsible for the CP non-conservation on the basis of the Gell-Mann Oakes Renner model. Assuming symmetry breaking in a limit of exact sub-symmetries for simultaneous quarks rotations in both electric charge sub-spaces we can estimate all mention above parameters. A perfect agreement of the experimental value of the Cabibbo angles with a sum of simultaneous quarks mixing angles in doublets (u,c) and (d,s) in the SU4∗SU4 symmetry suggests that a quarks mixing is realized in a maximal allowed range. The same assumption used for the SU6∗SU6 and a simultaneous maximal allowed quarks mixing in both electric charge triplets (u,c,t) and (d,s,b) gives a perfect agreement with the experimental value of the Cabibbo angle and estimation on the angles Θ2 and Θ3 as well as a bond for the complex phase δ.

This chapter presents the extension of the gauge theory model of the weak interaction to describe the weak interaction decays of quarks. It introduces the Cabibbo angle and the more general scheme of CKM mixing. It describes the realization of parity, CP, and time reversal symmetries in a general theory of quark mixing. Finally, it pulls all of the strands of previous chapters together to write the full set of equations of the Standard Model of particle physics.

Within the type-I seesaw and in the basis where charged lepton and heavy neutrino mass matrices are real and diagonal, μτ symmetric four and three zero neutrino Yukawa textures are perturbed by lowest order μτ symmetry breaking terms. These perturbations are taken to be the most general ones for those textures. For quite small values of those symmetry breaking parameters, permitting a lowest order analysis, current best-fit ranges of neutrino mass squared differences and mixing angles are shown to be accommodable, including a value of θ13 in the observed range, provided all the light neutrinos have an inverted mass ordering.

It is shown that the usual treatment of space-time reflexions is unphysical. A new treat­ment in terms of continuous transformations involving a new angular space (denoted as isospace) is given. This space permits definition of dynamical variables which can be inter­preted in terms of isobaric spin, electric charge and mass. Application to bosons results in a mass ratio and isobaric spin assignment in perfect agreement with the empirical values.

The μ - τ symmetry can reproduce the consistent results with experimental data of θ13, and θ23 (θ13, and θ23 respectively denote the νe - ντ, and νμ - ντ, mixing angles). However, we can not address the issue of the leptonic CP violation in μ - τ symmetric models. So we add the μ - τ symmetry breaking part to include the CP violation. We characterize leptonic CP violation in terms of three phases, where one is conventional phase δ and others are additional phases ρ and γ. These δ, ρ and γ are, respectively, the phases of νe - ντ, νe - νμ and νμ - ντ mixings. The ρ and γ are redundant but the effect of ρ remains in the leptonic CP violation which is characterized by δ + ρ. The δ arises from the μ - τ symmetry breaking part of the Meμ and Meτ while ρ arises from of μ - τ symmetric part of the Meμ and Meτ, where Mij stands for ij (i,j = e,μ,τ) element of M(= [Formula: see text] for Mν being a flavor neutrino mass matrix). Moreover, θ23 can be exactly estimated to be: [Formula: see text] ( sin θ ∝ sin θ13 cos (δ + ρ)[Formula: see text], sin ϕ ∝ Mμμ - Mττ, where [Formula: see text] is the solar neutrino mass difference squared). The conditions of maximal atmospheric neutrino mixing are given by [Formula: see text] and Mμμ = Mττ,which indicate maximal Dirac CP violation.

There is a wide class of models which give a dynamical description of the origin of flavor in terms of spontaneous symmetry breaking of an underlying symmetry. Many of these models exhibit sum rules which relate on the one hand mixing angles and the Dirac CP phase with each other and/or on the other hand neutrino masses and Majorana phases with each other. We will briefly sketch how this happens and discuss briefly the impact of renormalization group corrections to the mass sum rules.
