Technological innovations facilitate the activities of the society in general, however, are responsible for obsolescence of equipment electronics computing, and generate the problem of how to properly allocate these obsolete equipment that makes up the junk. Reverse logistics emerges as a solution for responsible and proper disposal of such equipment. This work aims to analyze the activity of reverse logistics of IT equipment in public organizations in São Gabriel - RS. Interviews were conducted with those responsible for managing these electronic public organizations in the city. Public organizations surveyed employ a significant number of these devices. It was noted that the reverse logistics though little known in the city, motivated a great interest of respondents in the problem that were exposed. However, the lack of incentives and disclosure are considered the main obstacles to adoption of this practice.

The industrial process and production of rice requires a correct management of the residues generated by them, for the best use of them, proper disposal, and reduction of environmental impacts. In this context, when perceiving the potential of rice production in the city of Cachoeira do Sul - RS, the present project proposes the economic viability analysis in the implantation of a thermoelectric power plant with the generation of energy from the rice husk biomass in the municipality of Cachoeira do Sul. For the present work, a survey of rice production in the main mills of the city was prepared and the amount of rice husk that could be used as fuel in the biomass-based thermoelectric plant was defined. The costs necessary for the implementation of the thermoelectric plant and the revenues from the sale of the produced energy were evaluated, making it possible to obtain economic viability analysis of the project. The values found in the minimum attractiveness rate, net present value, internal rate of return and payback calculations show that the use of rice husk for power generation in a thermoelectric plant is viable for Cachoeira do Sul-RS.

The purpose of the article is to figure out the features of a foreign presence in the city and the region during 1945–1959, its intensity and content on the example of the visit of foreign delegations – from the end of the World War II, as a result of which the political map of Europe and the world, the content of international relations have changed, to the assignment to Dnipropetrovsk the status of a conditionally closed city in August 1959, which led to the prohibition of its visit by foreigners until 1987.Research methods: historical-chronological, comparative.Main results: One of the aspects of foreign presence in the region is revealed on the example of target groups, which, as a rule, came at the invitation of public organizations, as well as certain departments. Some features of visiting the region by foreign delegations, quantitative indicators, the composition of individual groups, residence programs, service problems were identified. It was found that a certain limit in visiting foreigners to the region, as well as in the whole USSR, was 1953, when, as a result of the liberalization of the foreign policy of the Soviet leadership, the foreign presence in the region became more massive and public. Dnipropetrovsk and the surrounding areas, along with Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, were one of the visiting points. The purpose of its visits was to familiarize with the Soviet reality for the formation of a certain image of the USSR, to demonstrate the "advantages" of the Soviet model, and, therefore caused a significant ideological load of programs and strict control by the party bodies. Since the mid-1950s, with the intensive development of international economic relations in the region, primarily in heavy industry, the number of delegations with production targets had been growing. The economic component of relations dominated the tourism sector, which almost did not cover the Dnipropetrovsk region, given the formation of closed industries. In conclusion, it was noted that already at the stage of late Stalinism, the city and region were a significant part of the international presentation of the USSR and Ukraine. However, the stay of foreign groups revealed significant problems in their service due to material difficulties, lack of experience and personnel, and the specifics of organizing admissions under conditions of totalitarian state.Practical significance: the article recommended for the practice of teaching and research regional and urban history.Originality: sources that were first introduced to scientific circulation were used – the Central State Archive of the Public Organizations of Ukraine, the State Archive of the Dnipropetrovsk Region (oblastʼ) and regional periodicals of the period.Scientific novelty: the issue of the presence of foreign delegations in the Dnipropetrovsk region during 1945–1959 was considered, the problem of the place of Dnipropetrovsk region, Dnipropetrovsk in the system of international relations of Ukraine of the totalitarian period was determined.Article type: explanation.

Given the current context, an age of technological innovations, thinking about old books in the printed format and not correlating them to the new moment is perhaps not the best of the alternatives, especially if we consider paper’s fragility. However, a question is necessary: What, after all, are the advantages of using digital support in the process of preserving a literary collection? Regarding the possible answers, we can say that there are many benefits gained from this process. Among them, we have the ease and speed of access to data and information, in addition to the democratization of knowledge. Thus, thinking of such advantages, the present study aims to present the possibilities of research in digital collections, as well as the preservation practices executed with literary collections in the city of Caxias-MA. In this article, we detail quantitative and qualitative researches that consist of data organization and systematization processes, available on the website Digital Library of Literature in Maranhão (https://www.literaturamaranhense.ufsc.br), these researches are based on the ideas of Boeres and Faria (2012), Braga and Diemer (2010), Cúrcio (2006), Di Giorgi (1980), Freitas (2007), Greenhalgh (2011), Lopes (2017), Mota (2014), Monteiro (2009), Reifschneider (2008), Rocha (2012), Santarém Segundo (2014), Sousa and Assis (2018), Sousa, Correia and Assis (2018), Scheibe (2008) and Valle and Araújo (2005).

Aim: This study was conducted to determine the insect vectors living in refuse dumps at Gombe Metropolis in Gombe State of Nigeria. Study Design: The metropolis were divided into four longitudinal zones, and in each zone three dumpsites were randomly selected. Visual observations were used to estimate the composition of the refuse dumps. Place and Duration of Study: The study was conducted in Gombe metropolis of Gombe state between the months of May and August, 2018.  Methodology: Sweep nets, sticky traps, water traps and handpicking were used to collect different vector species. Specimen collected were preserved and transported to the laboratory for identification. Standard Identification keys were used for the identification of the vectors.   Results: The compositions of the refuse dumps varied from vegetable matter and animal remains to assorted materials including used tyres, electronic parts, cartons, faecal matter, broken bottles, polythene bags. A total of 464 insect vectors belonging to 9 species were collected. Musca domestica 282(60.8%) was the dominant species, followed by Anopheles spp 55(11.9%) and Aedes species 44(9.4%). Periplaneta americana accounts 37(8.0%) of the collections. Conclusion: The thriving population of these vector species and the abundance of putrefying refuse dumps are risk factors of the endemic diseases transmitted by such vectors in the city. The present work therefore recommends the proper disposal of refuses to avert an epidemic status.

Technological innovations have revolutionized the lifestyle of the society and led to the development of advanced and intelligent cities. Smart city has recently become synonymous of a city characterized by an intelligent and extensive use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) in order to allow efficient use of information. In this context, this paper proposes a new approach to optimize the planning of itineraries for one-day tourist. More in detail, an optimization approach based on Graph theory and multi-algorithms is provided to determine the optimal tourist itinerary. The aim is to minimize the travel times taking into account the tourist preferences. An Integer Linear Programming (ILP) problem is introduced to find the optimal outward and return paths of the touristic itinerary and a multi-algorithms strategy is used to maximize the number of attractions (PoIs) to be visited in the paths. Finally, a case study focusing on cruise tourist in the city of Bari, demonstrates the efficiency of the approach and the user interaction in the determination of the itinerary.

Abstract: The management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) or electronic waste (e-garbage or e-waste) has become a major concern for urban communities due to the large volumes of waste generated, from the end of the 20th century. In this context, this work seeks to gather information for the implementation of a Reverse Logistics system that is comprehensive and regular for WEEE in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes – RJ. The behavior of the consumer was analyzed using a version adapted and inspired by the AHP Method, regarding to the most relevant considerations when disposing of WEEE (cell phones, computers and tablets). The data needed for this work were collected through the application of a questionnaire with open and closed questions to a sample, random and representative of citizens, in the city under study. It was noticed that the results found would support the decisions to be taken in the design of an efficient management system for WEEE. It is also worth mentioning that this research was carried out under the current considerations of sustainability according to what determines the Brazilian legislation on Solid Waste and can be intended as a prototype to be adapted to the reality of other cities in the country.

The authors show the complexity of the work of the deputies of the Second State Duma (February-June 1907) on the acute issues of combating hunger and unemployment. In the conditions of the unfinished term of the Duma, since it was dissolved, the deputies tried to expand the work of the commissions for the social protection of the disadvantaged strata of the population. The authors note that the priority of the legislative branch in the draft work of the commissions was more clearly manifested by the socialist factions than by the liberal ones. Representatives of the left-wing factions tried to involve the city Dumas and public organizations in work on important issues, but the center-right and the government posed all sorts of obstacles to them. However, even in such difficult conditions, the deputies used every opportunity to strengthen the positions of the people's representation on the way to deepening democratic reforms in the country.
