El presente trabajo propone un estudio de la llamada poesía visual mediante un método integrado que hará confluir las herramientas de análisis de la teoría semiótica con las consideraciones de la Poética Cognitiva respecto a este tipo de objetos intermediales. De esta manera, de un estudio teórico inicial que permitirá extraer estas herramientas cognitivo-semióticas de análisis, se pasará a un estudio práctico, mediante el método previamente desarrollado, de obras concretas y variadas de poesía visual, seleccionadas entre la creación de Fernando Millán, Felipe Boso y Clara Janés. Abstract: The present work develops a study on the so-called visual poetry by means of an integrated method which will fuse the analytical tools of the semiotic theory with considerations of Cognitive Poetics about this kind of intermedial objects. Therefore, from a theoretical study which will provide us with this cognitive-semiotic analytical tools, a practical study will follow with the analysis of specific and varied works of visual poetry, which will be selected within the works of Fernando Millán, Felipe Boso and Clara Janés.

Taking pressure compensation valve in load sensing multi-way valve as research object, based on the dynamic mathematical model, the dynamic characteristics and the law that the structure parameters affected the characteristics were analyzed. The research methods and results provide analytical tools and design documentation for the structure design and the theoretical study on the outlet pressure compensation multi-way valve.

The present paper identifies evidence of proto-semiotic thinking in Italian Futurist manifestoes and in Marinetti's experimental ‘words-in-freedom’ (parole in libertà). A case is made for approaching visual and acoustic modes of signification in Futurist poetry using Peircean semiotic theory. Readings of iconic and indexical sign-aspects explore the value of quasi-semiotic strategies as reflections of modernity and analyse their role in Futurist pro-war propaganda poetry. Particular attention is paid to semiotic aspects of the movement's ‘Typographical Revolution’, its strategies of codification and the rhetoric of self-signification. Peircean exegesis of various innovative effects throws light on the relationship between iconic and indexical features which earlier semiotic approaches fail to recognize.

Irradiation effects studies employing TEMs as analytical tools have been conducted for almost as many years as materials people have done TEM, motivated largely by materials needs for nuclear reactor development. Such studies have focussed on the behavior both of nuclear fuels and of materials for other reactor components which are subjected to radiation-induced degradation. Especially in the 1950s and 60s, post-irradiation TEM analysis may have been coupled to in situ (in reactor or in pile) experiments (e.g., irradiation-induced creep experiments of austenitic stainless steels). Although necessary from a technological point of view, such experiments are difficult to instrument (measure strain dynamically, e.g.) and control (temperature, e.g.) and require months or even years to perform in a nuclear reactor or in a spallation neutron source. Consequently, methods were sought for simulation of neutroninduced radiation damage of materials, the simulations employing other forms of radiation; in the case of metals and alloys, high energy electrons and high energy ions.
