AbstractThe commercially processedThe phytochemical analysis showed that the extract contained flavonoids, terpenoids, glycosides, tannins and saponins. In the acetic acid-induced writhing test, the extract significantly reduced the number of writhes at 100 and 200 mg/kg but not so much at 50 mg/kg. In the formalin-induced paw lick test, the effect was similar to that of the acetic writhing test. The analgesic effects were comparable to that of indomethacin used at 10 mg/kg. In the anti-inflammatory test, the extract reduced the formation of oedema especially at a dose of 200 mg/kg. In the anti-oxidant test, the extract was found to possess a free radical-scavenging property and is concentration related.The use of this extract for medicinal and nutritional purposes may have thus been justified; however, caution must be exercised in its use to prevent the toxic effect.

Introduction: Nanotechnology is a field of research and innovation concerned with building 'things' - generally, materials and devices on the scale of atoms and molecules. It is a booming field of this 21st century. The role of nano technology is becoming very crucial in nearly every aspect of life ranging from cosmetics to advanced bio technological approaches. In recent years, silver nanoparticles have gained considerable attention in the field of medicine. The green synthesis of nanoparticles eliminates the generation and use of hazardous substances and thus sustains non toxicity. Chlorogenic acids are phenolic compounds formed by the esterification of cinnamic acids. They exhibit various pharmacological Properties. Our study deals with the green synthesis of Chlorogenic acid mediated silver nanoparticles and assessment of their anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties.   Aim: The present study aims at assessing the antioxidant and anti inflammatory property of chlorogenic acid mediated silver nanoparticle and investigating the efficacy of Chlorogenic acid mediated Silver nanoparticle. Materials and Methods: The methodology includes Green synthesis of Chlorogenic acid mediated Silver nano particle synthesis followed by tests for Anti inflammation and Anti oxidation. Results: Both the Anti inflammatory and Anti oxidation activity of the chlorogenic acid mediated silver nanoparticle had shown a proportionate increase in activity with increasing concentration of the compound. Conclusion: Chlorogenic acid mediated silver nanoparticles have shown significant anti inflammatory and anti oxidation activity and they are considered as potent anti inflammatory and antioxidant agents.

The use of plant extracts in the synthesis of metal nanoparticles is a very attractive approach in the field of green synthesis. To benefit from the potential synergy between the biological activities of the Moringa oleifera leaves extract and metallic bismuth, our study aimed at synthesizing bismuth nanoparticles using a hydroalcoholic extract of M. oleifera leaves as a means of green synthesis that yields nontoxic products and reduces the production of wasteful material. To this end, the M. oleifera leaves extract was treated with a bismuth nitrate pentahydrate solution. A color change from light brown to dark brown indicates the synthesis of bismuth nanoparticles. The total phenolic content in the M. oleifera leaves extract used was 23.0 ± 0.3 mg gallic acid equivalent/g of dried M. oleifera leaves powder. Antioxidant property of MO synthesised bismuth Nanoparticles was evaluated and in line with the extract used in the synthesis of NPs. The physical properties of the synthesized bismuth nanoparticles were characterized using UV-Vis spectrophotometer, FT-IR spectrometer, TEM, SEM, and XRD. The synthesized bismuth nanoparticles have a size in the range of 40.4-57.8 nm with amorphous morphology. Using DPPH and phosphomolybdate assays, our findings revealed that the M. oleifera leaves extract and the synthesized bismuth nanoparticles possess antioxidant properties. Using resazurin microtiter assay, we also demonstrate that the M. oleifera leaves extract and the synthesized bismuth nanoparticles exert potent anti-bacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecalis, similarly to the inhibition exerted by Moringa extract, especially against Enterococcus faecalis (MIC values for the extract: 500, 250, 250, and 250 µg/mL; MIC values for the bismuth nanoparticles: 500, 500, 500, and 250 µg/mL, respectively). Similarly, the M. oleifera leaves extract and the synthesized bismuth nanoparticles display relatively stronger anti-fungal activity against Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, Candida albicans, and Candida glabrata (MIC values for the extract: 62.5, 62.5, 125, and 250 µg/mL; MIC values for the bismuth nanoparticles: 250, 250, 62.5, and 62.5 µg/mL, respectively). Thus, the hydroalcoholic extract of M. oleifera leaves was successfully used in the synthesis of bismuth nanoparticles, showing a positive antioxidant, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal activity. Therefore, the synthesized bismuth nanoparticles can potentially be employed in the alleviation of symptoms associated with oxidative stress and in the topic treatment of Candida infections.

Abstract The present study mainly deals with the green synthesis, characterization and evaluation of antibacterial properties of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized by using the leaf extract of Moringa oleifera and fruit extract of Tamarindus indica. In this study for synthesis of silver nanoparticles different ratios of 1mM silver nitrate and Moringa oleifera leaf extract i.e, 95:5, 90:10 and 85: 15 was taken in conical flask and kept for one 1 hr at 25 0 c on magnetic stirrer, out of which 90:10 ratio was selected for further study based on highest peak, good size and stability. Tamarindus indica fruit extract was added to silver nitrate solution till the colour of the solution changes from light brown to chocolate brownish colour. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Visible spectroscopy, Zeta potential, size distribution by intensity. The absorption spectrum of the silver nano solution prepared by using Moringa oleifera and Tamarindus indica fruit extract showed a surface plasmon absorption band with maximum of 420 nm and 430 nm respectively indicating the presence of silver nanoparticles. The zeta value of silver nanoparticles synthesized from Moringa oleifera and Tamarindus indica fruit extract was -12.5 mV and -15.5 mV, size of 110.2 nm and 130.2 nm respectively. The antibacterial efficacy of nanosilver was checked by agar well diffusion method, and the silver nanoparticles showed effective antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus.
