Presence of hard seed coats and several seed borne pathogens hinder the normal seedling establishment in legumes. Earlier seed enhancement is mainly achieved though synthetics and growth regulators. To evaluate the effect of organics and botanicals on quality parameters of the seed an experiment was conducted in Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences. Treatments in the experiment comprised of Panchagavya at 3%, 5% and 7% for 12 hrs., Beejamrutha at 5%, 7% and 9% for 12 hrs., Coconut water at 6% and 8% for 12hrs., Moringa leaf extract at 5% and 7% for 12hrs and Sea weed extract at 3% and 5% for 12hrs.Priming with the selected organics and botanicalsis found to enhance the quality parameters compared to untreated control. The treatment Panchagavya at 7% for duration of 12 hours was found to be superior compared to the other treatments in the study.

The experiment was following to examine the “Effect of Organics and Inorganics on Seed priming techniques on Seed quality parameters in Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graceum)” the during of 2020-2021 at the seed testing laboratory department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Naini, SHUATS, Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh). Fenugreek seeds treat with a soaked seed that is T₀ (Control). Hydro priming (Soaked with distilled water for 12 hours), Botanical leaf extracts (Neem leaf extract, Moringa leaf extract, Curry leaf extract) soaked for 6 hours, Inorganic (NaCl, Kcl, KnO₃) @ 3% for 8 hours with different concentrations, on the seed of Fenugreek. Among these different treatments, all are significant. The result intimate that T₆ KnO₃ @ 3% for 8 hrs got highest and performed well with good Seedling Germination percentage as 96.5%, Root length 8.7 cm, Shoot length 9.3 cm, Seedling length 15.5 cm, Fresh weight of seedlings 1.95g, Dry weight of seedling 0.07 g, Seed vigor Index I 1495.75, Seed vigor Index II 6.755 followed by T₁₂ Moringa leaf extract @ 4% for 6 hrs as compared to other treatments. So, the Seed priming method is a low cost investment. It is beneficial to farmers. It can increase the production of the plants will be gain profit and contribute to the food supply.

The current experiment was conducted to evaluate the Performance of Organic amendments and botanical treatments on seed quality parameters of French bean under stimulated environmental conditions. An experiment was conducted in 2021 at postgraduate seed testing laboratory, Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding Naini Agriculture Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj. The French bean Cultivar Arka Bold seeds were used for priming. Organic treatments are designated as Panchagavya 2%, 4%,6%,8%, Agniasthra 2%,4%,6%,8% and Botanicals treatments are Tulasi leaf extract 5%, Aloevera leaf extract 5%, Vinca rosea leaf extract 5% and also did hydroprming treatment using distilled water respectively. Seeds were soaked in organic, botanicals and in distilled water for duration of 6 hours followed by shade drying. The results were obtained and it was found that all the treatments showed significant effect on quality parameters. The highest was found in panchgavya of all doses followed by tulasi leaf extract found to be best in Germination percentage, Speed of Germination, Root length, Shoot length, Seedling length, Seed vigour index-I, Seed vigour Index-II compared to control or untreated seeds which indicates the effect of organics and botanicals on physiological processes of the seeds. This study revealed that priming with organic amendments and botanicals can be effective in enhancing the seed quality parameters of french bean and they are low cost, effective and nature friendly and toxic free.

The present research study was conducted at the Seed testing laboratory of Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh in 2020-2021. The research study revealedthat effect of seed priming treatments with Panchagavya, Jeevamrutha, Beejamrutha and leaf extracts, Sodium molybdate on seed quality parameters of field pea was analyzed through Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Organic treatments are designated as Panchagavya 3% and 5%, Jeevamrutha 3% and 5%, Beejamrutha 5% are used as treatment 8Hrs respectively, botanical treatments are Tulasi leaf extract 6%, Lantana camara leaf extract for 6% are used as treatment for duration of 4 hours respectivelyin which the treatment T8- Sodium molybdate (3%) for 3 Hrs exhibited higher mean value for seed germination (76.75%), root length (6.49 cm), shoot length (7.84 cm), seedling length (14.33 cm), seed vigour index -I (1099.68) and Followed by value was exhibited by T6-Tulasi Leaf Extract (6%) with respect of Root length (6.79 cm)Seedling dry weight (1.725 g), Seed Vigour Index II (129.78), T0 (control) with respect of Germination percentage (71.75%) root length (6.30 cm), shoot length (6.60 cm) and seedling length (12.90 cm), seed vigour index I &II (925.60 & 98.13).

The present investigations were carried out to study the influence of various seed hardening treatments on growth and yield parameters in black gram under drought condition. The black gram cv.VBN 3 was imposed with various seed hardening treatments (i.e.,) MnSO4 @ 100 ppm, ZnSO4 @ 100 ppm, Cobalt nitrate @ 1 %, Sodium molybdate @ 100 ppm, KCl @ 100 ppm, Pungam leaf extract @ 1 %, Prosopis leaf extract @ 1% and GA3 @ 40 ppm. The above treated seeds along with control were evaluated for their seed quality parameters, growth, gas exchange and yield parameters under laboratory and drought field condition. The study revealed that seeds hardened with prosopis leaf extract @1% recorded higher seed yield, yield attributing characters and many seed quality characters as compared to other treatments and control under drought condition.

The experiment was conducted in the central research field at the department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Sam Higginbottom University Of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences and college, Prayagraj (U.P) during Rabi season 2020-2021. In order to standardize the suitable pre-sowing seed treatment of Mustard (Variety-Sulabh-3777) laid by Randomized block design(RBD). Influence of different seed treatment on growth, yield and seed quality parameters of mustard were evaluated by Viz T0- Control, T1-Hydropriming(-0.3Mpa) for 3Hrs, T2-KNO3 1% for 12Hrs, T3-Nacl - 1% for 12Hrs, T4-KH2PO4 -1% for 12Hrs, T5- Electromagnetic (200Guass) for 30Mins, T6-PEG6000 (0.15 Mol.) for 3Hrs, T7- Neem leaf Extract- 5% for 12Hrs, T8-Tulasi Leaf Extract-5% for 12Hrs , T9- Recommended NPK, 10-Recommended NPK+FYM, T11-Azotobacter, T12-Azotobacter + 50% NPK+ FYM. To find out influence of different seed treatment on growth, yield and seed quality parameters of mustard showed that significant treatment field emergence (%), plant height (30,60,90 DAS), days to 50% flowering, number of branches per plant, number of siliquae per plant, number of seeds per siliquae, seed yield per plant (g), seed yield per plot (g), biological yield (g), harvest index. The study helps to improve the quality to improve seed with help of seed various botanicals, chemicals and biofertilizers priming treatment which are cost effective and economic, non- toxic, ecofriendly sources.

Purpose. To investigate the impact of denoising on the qualitative and quantitative parameters of optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) images of the optic nerve and macular area. Methods. OCTA images of the optic nerve and macular area were obtained using a Canon-HS100 OCT device for 48 participants (48 eyes). Multiple image averaging (MIA) and denoising techniques were used to improve the quality of the OCTA images. The peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) as an image quality parameter and vessel density (VD) as a quantitative parameter were obtained from single-scan, MIA, and denoised OCTA images. The parameters were compared, and the correlation was analyzed between different imaging protocols. Results. In the optic nerve area, there were significant differences in the PSNR and VD in all measured regions between the three groups ( P < 0.0001 ). The PSNR of the denoised group was significantly higher than that of the other two groups ( P < 0.0001 ). The VD in the denoised group was significantly lower than that in the single-scan group in all measured regions ( P < 0.0001 ). In the macular area, there were significant differences in the PSNR and VD in all measured regions among the three groups. The PSNR of the denoised group was significantly higher than that of the other two groups ( P < 0.0001 ). The VD in the denoised group was significantly lower than that in the single-scan group in all measured regions. The VD around the optic nerve in the denoised group was correlated with that in the single-scan group ( R = 0.9403 , P < 0.0001 ), but the VD in the MIA group was not correlated with that in the single-scan group ( R = 0.2505 , P = 0.2076 ). The VD around the fovea in the denoised and MIA images was correlated with that in the single-scan group ( R = 0.7377 , P < 0.0001 ; R = 0.7005 , P = 0.0004 , respectively). Conclusion. Denoising could provide an easy and quick way to improve image quality parameters, such as PSNR. It shows great potential in improving the sensitivity of OCTA images as retinal disease markers.

Germination and longevity of weedy and three domestic okra [Abelmoschus esculentus(L.) Moench. # ABMES] cultivars were investigated. Hard seed coats are the major reason for okra seed dormancy. Hard seeds of weedy okra, induced to germinate by scarification of seed coats, produced plants yielding 94 to 99% hard seeds. Of these, 40% remained hard but viable after overwintering in the soil at 5 cm deep. Nonhard seeds of weedy okra produced plants that yielded 95 to 99% hard seeds, but only 20% remained hard after overwintering in the soil at 5 cm deep. The ‘White Velvet’ cultivar of okra produced a few hard seeds, but none survived longer than 3 months in the soil. The other domestic cultivars, ‘Dwarf Green Long Pod’ and ‘Clemson Spineless', produced no hard seeds. None of these seeds survived over winter in the soil. Some seeds of White Velvet became slightly harder during dry storage based on time in concentrated H2SO4necessary to induce 80% germination. Although the hard-seed trait existed in the population of this domestic cultivar, it is unlikely that the seeds would overwinter. Seeds that overwinter in a dry condition may be the exception. Because a high percentage of hard seeds overwinter and germinate the following spring, weedy okra has the potential to become a persistent problem.

The present investigation was carried out in the Department of Seed Science and Technology, College of Forestry, Ranichauri, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand during 2015. A laboratory experiment was conducted to find out the influence of bio-priming on seed germination and seedling vigour. Seed germination was reported maximum for Psf-173 (93.66%) while minimum was reported for control (65.66%). Seed vigour parameter viz. root length (11.01 cm), shoot length (7.96 cm), seedling length (18.98 cm), fresh weight (8.00 g) and dry weight (1.31 g), vigour index I (1666.80) and vigour index II (115.56) was found higher for PSB treatment. Shilajeet variety had recorded significant higher values for most of the germination and vigour parameters. Shilajeet bio-primed with PSB attained higher values for majority of the quality parameters. Under laboratory condition results suggested that seed germination and seed vigour were greatly affected by different bio-agents. Among all the bio-agents, PSB showed positive influence on most of the quality parameter. However, other bio-agents had also showed significant effect over control.
