The data obtained from the survey were analyzed with reliability test, mean and regression analysis. The findings revealed that perception of eco labeling, willingness to pay and green knowledge & eco literacy have a significant impact on green purchasing behavior. At the same time environmental laws & guidelines has no significant impact on green purchasing behavior. This study aims to identify the determinants that influence the attitudes of consumers of green purchases and the willingness to pay more on green products, specifically on energy-saving lighting products. The variables studied included environmental knowledge, environmental awareness and perceived effectiveness. The sample of this study was 196 students, but out of 196 respondents after the questionnaire was distributed only 189 could be processed. Validity and reliability test results show valid values of loading factors of more than 0.4 while for reliability testing using the cronbach’s alpha criteria above 0.5 indicates reliable. Through the multiple linear regression analysis, the variables of environmental knowledge, environmental awareness and effectiveness are felt to have a positive and significant effect on the attitude of buying and willingness to pay more. Green purchasing attitudes and willingness to pay more have a positive and significant effect on green purchasing behavior. Green purchasing attitudes have a greater influence on green purchasing behavior compared to willingness to pay more.

Besides, green consumption is a trend encouraged to be widely implemented in many countries in the world, including Vietnam. However, in the reality of Vietnam, changing green consumer behavior in choosing products has been negligible and insignificant. With a diversified and varied population structure, Ho Chi Minh City is selected to analyze the impacts of demography and other related factors on green consumption behavior in the market. The quantitative research method is mainly used with the analysis of multiple correlation and linear regression. The results retrieved from 312 survey samples show that regarding demography, educational level, and marital status influence green consumption behavior. Besides, the results also show and measure the impacts of other factors, namely attitudes, subjective standards, environmental concerns, unavailability of green products on the green consumption behavior of consumers in Ho Chi Minh city. Since COVID-19 was first detected in China in 2019, governments around the world have imposed strict measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus, which substantially impacted peo-ple’s life. Consumers’ food consumption behavior has also changed accordingly with reduced gro-cery shopping frequency, replaced in-person grocery shopping with online shopping, and increased valuation on food. In this paper, we aim to investigate the change in Chinese consumers’ food con-sumption and their willingness to pay (WTP) for vegetables and meat, using a dataset with 1206 online samples collected between February and March 2020. Consumers’ WTP for vegetables and meat is estimated using a double-bounded dichotomous contingent valuation design, and factors affecting their WTPs are also investigated. Results show that consumers have a higher WTP for these food products during the pandemic, and their WTP is positively affected by their anticipated duration of the COVID-19, their online shopping shares, their direct exposure to infected patients, their gender, and their income. These results imply that the food industry shall try to develop online market channels as consumers are willing to share the costs, while lower-income consumers may not be able to meet their food needs with prices increased beyond their WTP and thus may call for the government’s support.

Background: Despite consumers appearing to assign great importance to green purchasing and expecting companies to produce their goods in an environmentally friendly way, they do not always exhibit this positive attitude while making purchases. Focus: This paper aims to discuss the extent to which green purchasing behavior in the Arabic Gulf is affected by individuals’ perceived environmental attitudes, concern, perceived seriousness of environmental problems, perceived environmental responsibility, perceived self-identity in environmental protection, perceived social context in environmental protection, as well as demographics. Methods: The study adopted a quantitative research approach using a survey questionnaire on a sample of 324 individuals residing in different Arab countries in the Gulf area. A 5-point Likert scale was used. Path analysis was conducted to test and evaluate the hypothesized relationships among constructs. Results: The study found importantly, by using multiple regression analyses, that consumers’ environmental concern, self-identity in environmental protection, and social context in environmental protection are significant predictors of green purchasing behavior and can predict 38.9% of green purchasing behavior. Among demographic factors, gender showed a significant effect on green purchasing behavior. Importance to Social Marketing Field: The present study enhances the social marketing literature through the understanding of green purchasing behaviors from a perspective of non-Western countries. Recommendation for Research or Practice: This paper has significant managerial implications. The findings could help marketers and government in formulating strategies that encourage green purchasing behavior in the Arabic Gulf. Limitations: Although the current study shed some light on green purchasing behaviors in the Arabic Gulf, it did not focus on a particular type of green product; rather, it looked at green purchasing behavior in general.

Plastic pollution is one of the most concerning issues presently and Indonesia is the second largest plastic waste producer in the world. A substantial part of the plastic waste comes from non-degradable plastic straws. This research intends to seek whether consumers’ psychological factors have an impact on their green purchasing behavior with a case study of #NoStrawMovement in KFC Indonesia. The research has been carried out on 153 consumers. The outcome signified that all indicators of psychological factors do have an impact on consumers’ green purchasing behavior. Perceived knowledge about sustainability issues, spirituality, drive for environmental responsibility and perceived marketplace influence are the decisive factors affecting consumers’ green purchase behavior. It is revealed that psychological factors impact consumers’ green purchase behavior by 51.6%. The result of the research will be worthwhile for KFC Indonesia to further revamp the effectiveness of the movement and for the government to establish a policy that supports green purchasing behavior. Advocating green purchasing behavior within society could aid in alleviating the damage that has been previously caused to the environment.

This study aimed to investigate the impacts of COVID-19 on the hospitality industry. We examined the interplay between consumers’ fear and uncertainty of COVID-19, their trust in green hotel brands, and their behavioral intentions in relation to staying at green hotels. Analysis of 613 completed responses to a survey instrument revealed that fear and uncertainty of COVID-19 have increased consumers’ environmental concerns and green hotel brand trust, which in turn have promoted their willingness to pay more and willingness to make sacrifices to stay at green hotels. The paper contributes to research on green consumption behavior in the hotel industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
