The company builds communication and collaboration with suppliers and customers to increase competitiveness in the supply chain flow. The organization's ability to involve suppliers and customers in business activities to achieve efficiency and effectiveness is one of the objectives of supply chain practice. The distribution of questionnaires directly to hotel practitioners was 25 respondents, and 65 respondents obtained the distribution of google form links. The results showed that supply chain practices with supplier relationship management and quality information sharing activities could increase internal and upstream integration and not directly impact downstream integration. Internal integration with data integration activities accurately and coordination between functions on an ongoing basis can affect upstream and downstream integration and green hotel performance. Upstream integration and downstream integration with joint decision activities and planning synchronization with external parties can directly impact green hotel performance. They were increasing the market share and image of the hotel with the implementation of caring for the environment. This research contributes to hotel practitioners adopting practical supply chains in building internal and external integration to increase competitiveness and theoretical contribution to developing supply chain theory and green performance.

This study examines the differences in the green hotel and non-green hotel advertisements on consumers' purchase intentions. It discusses the differences in the green hotel and non-green hotel service quality on consumers' purchase intentions. The research method used is an experiment with a sample of 100 participants. This study uses a fictitious print advertisement featuring hotel facilities, prices and promotions as a sample for the same product as a treatment in the experiment. The type of experimental design used is a statistical utterly randomized design, where the treatment given to research participants is based on randomization. Data were analyzed using ANOVA. The results showed that green hotel advertisements positively affected consumers' purchase intentions, while advertisements in non-green hotels had no significant effect on consumers' purchase intentions. Meanwhile, the service quality variable in green hotels has a positive impact on consumers' purchase intentions, and service quality in non-green hotels has no significant effect on consumers' purchase intentions.

Background: Of a total of 180 countries in the world, Indonesia is ranked 116th in the EPI ranking. This paper describes the innovative design of a high-rise hotel building that carries a green building concept. which utilizes the outer wall area of the hotel building as an object in this study. Objective: The main design of this project is the creation of an innovative high-rise hotel building with attention to architectural, structural, and lighting system aspects as well as energy efficiency from direct sunlight, which will be processed into a source of electrical energy. Materials and Methods: Application of analysis through value engineering case studies and application of green building methods, with qualitative methods. This paper focuses on factors related to energy sources and environmental sustainability and calculates life cycle costs concerning case study designs. The goal is to reduce the use of electrical energy sources from PLN which have an impact on nature preservation, by carrying out the concept of environmentally friendly buildings, by utilizing the facade wall area with the application of Photovoltaic. Results: The results obtained a percentage of ≤ 6.21%, with the use of Photovoltaic material as much as 100%. Conclusion: The facades (east and west) generate ± 1,050 KVA of electricity from the Solar Power Plant and reduce the use of electricity from PLN by 991 KVA, out of a total of 2,041 KVA. It can be concluded that the decrease obtained is 47.32%.

Purpose This study aims to address research gaps by constructing critical success factors (CSFs) in the context of green hotel investment in Taiwan. It contributes to the domain knowledge to cultivate Taiwan’s green hotel development in the future. Design/methodology/approach The authors secured 20 prominent green hotel management/owners/architects as crucial informants. The first stage used the Delphi method to collect expert opinions (i.e. CSFs) and the second stage applied the analytic hierarchy process to analyze the importance of CSFs. Findings The results show that the “financial investment benefits” is considered the most crucial success factor for the green hotel investment. However, to balance long-term economic development with environmental impact, green hotel investors should consider other aspects of the research to sustain future financial performance returns. Research limitations/implications Further studies should consider regional characteristics to accommodate geographic/social differences and hotel types to explore possible CSFs for the green hotel investment. The authors suggest including panel experts from government officials and prominent scholars to represent a broader but different view on subject matters. They also offer implications for investors’ governmental policies, hotelier cognition and customer-related aspects in green hotel investment. Originality/value This study built a hierarchical framework based on the CSF concept by evaluating priority differences between hotel management and hotel owners/architects. Such findings help investors’ effective decision-making through considering factors’ relative importance for green hotel investments.

Most prior studies have investigated the relationship between green purchase attitude and behaviorbased on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). However, TPB is a behavioral theory based on acausal process, and thus ignores consumers’ motivational aspects. The purpose of this study is toexamine consumers’ motivational variables, in which monetary, convenience (location), hedonic andvirtual motivation (social media) influence consumers’ intentions to visit green hotels based ongenerational characteristics. A survey questionnaire was developed where a total of 775 questionnaireswere ultimately collected followed by subsequent empirical testing of the postulated hypotheses usingSPSS and Structural Equation Modelling. The results suggest monetary and virtual motivation positivelyinfluence green purchase attitude (GPA) respectively, while convenience negatively influence GPA.GPA displays a positive influence on green purchase intention (GPI) while hedonic motivation plays norole in this study. In addition, statistically significant differences in monetary, convenience, hedonic, virtual motivation and GPI were observed between generations of consumers towards green hotelselection. The theoretical and practical implications of the results were highlighted, including limitationsof the research. Lastly, this study addressed the relationship between motivational traits and behavioralintention in the hospitality and tourism field, and its results will provide useful information for greenhotels’ stakeholders.

The leadership roles of green hotels are essential for sustainable development because of their contribution to reducing carbon emission, supplying safe food, and managing water resources. However, sustainability education has not adequately integrated entrepreneurial skills to promote green hotel practices towards sustainable development. Therefore, this study explored the leadership roles of the Frangipani Hotel in Langkawi, Malaysia, because it adopted a circular economy in line with the zero-waste concept to develop the environmental and socio-economic condition of the locality. Extensive literature reviews were conducted to explore the transformational leadership roles of the Frangipani hotel for green practices. Interviews with the managing director, general manager, and the head of 10 operating branches of Frangipani also provided information about the green hotel practices to support its leadership roles. Similarly, interviews with the public, private, business, and community stakeholders also supported the transformational leadership roles of Frangipani to integrated green hotel practices with effective multi-stakeholder collaboration for quality control and quality assurance of its green practices. The patience of Frangipani and its roles as a liaison among government, non-government, business, and private and community sectors have been very effective in promoting green practices in the hospitability industry via training and knowledge-sharing. However, the monitoring and evaluation of these green practices are essential, and they can be completed via developing a special key performance index for the effective promotion of green hotels.
