A hypergraph is linear if any two of its edges intersect in at most one vertex. The sail (or $3$-fan) $F^3$ is the $3$-uniform linear hypergraph consisting of $3$ edges $f_1, f_2, f_3$ pairwise intersecting in the same vertex $v$ and an additional edge $g$ intersecting each $f_i$ in a vertex different from $v$. The linear Turán number $\mathrm{ex}_{\mathrm{lin}}(n, F^3)$ is the maximum number of edges in a $3$-uniform linear hypergraph on $n$ vertices that does not contain a copy of $F^3$. Füredi and Gyárfás proved that if $n = 3k$, then $\mathrm{ex}_{\mathrm{lin}}(n, F^3) = k^2$ and the only extremal hypergraphs in this case are transversal designs. They also showed that if $n = 3k+2$, then $\mathrm{ex}_{\mathrm{lin}}(n, F^3) = k^2+k$, and the only extremal hypergraphs are truncated designs (which are obtained from a transversal design on $3k+3$ vertices with $3$ groups by removing one vertex and all the hyperedges containing it) along with three other small hypergraphs. However, the case when $n =3k+1$ was left open. In this paper, we solve this remaining case by proving that $\mathrm{ex}_{\mathrm{lin}}(n, F^3) = k^2+1$ if $n = 3k+1$, answering a question of Füredi and Gyárfás. We also characterize all the extremal hypergraphs. The difficulty of this case is due to the fact that these extremal examples are rather non-standard. In particular, they are not derived from transversal designs like in the other cases.

Background: In an unprecedented situation of interruption of the sporting dynamics, the world of sport is going through a series of adaptations necessary to continue functioning despite coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). More than ever, athletes are facing a different challenge, a source of discomfort and uncertainty, and one that absolutely alters not only sports calendars, but also trajectories, progressions, and approaches to sports life. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the levels of psychological vulnerability that may have been generated in the athletes, because of the coexistence with dysfunctional responses during the COVID-19 experience, and which directly influence the decrease of their mental health. Methods: With a descriptive and transversal design, the study aims to identify the state of the dysfunctional psychological response of a sample of Spanish athletes (N = 284). The DASS-21 (Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale), Toronto-20 (alexithymia), and Distress Tolerance Scale questionnaires were administered to a sample of high-level Spanish athletes in Olympic programs. Results: The results suggest that the analyzed athletes indicate high levels of dysfunctional response (e.g., anxiety, stress, depression, and alexithymia) when their tolerance is low. In addition, the variables show less relational strength, when the capacity of tolerance to distress is worse and age is lower. At the same time, the greater the anxiety and uncertainty are, leading to more catastrophic and negative thoughts, the younger the athletes are. Conclusions: It is clear that both age and tolerance to distress are considered adequate protective factors for psychological vulnerability in general and for associated dysfunctional responses in particular. Moreover, the psychological resources offered by more experienced athletes are also a guarantee of protection against negativity and catastrophism.

"the purpose of this research was to identify students’ opinions regarding the relevance and preferred learning approaches in an Entrepreneurship Education programme. A transversal design, using a questionnaire on 139 students from seven universities from Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine was employed. The study concluded that Entrepreneurship and Business Planning were perceived as essential modules. Leadership and Project Management and Innovation Management were perceived as very relevant. Intellectual Property Law was perceived as of little relevance. Overall, the preferred delivery modes were: “Practical module within a start-up”, “Optional module within a Master’s programme” and “Learning by running a business”. However, different approaches were suggested for different modules. "

This paper considers three imprimitive distance-regular graphs with $486$ vertices and diameter $4$: the Koolen--Riebeek graph (which is bipartite), the Soicher graph (which is antipodal), and the incidence graph of a symmetric transversal design obtained from the affine geometry $\mathrm{AG}(5,3)$ (which is both). It is shown that each of these is preserved by the same rank-$9$ action of the group $3^5:(2\times M_{10})$, and the connection is explained using the ternary Golay code.

In Argentina SME turn out to be a major player in the economic and social environment, representing more than 90% of the total registered companies, and being the country's largest employer, surpassing the 60% of formal registered employees. However, a comparative analysis between the last two national censuses -2004 and 2014- shows an industrial decline with respect to large companies, highlighting a substantial deterioration in its economic growth and envisaging the need to work on their structural competitiveness. Consequently, SME require a special focus of attention in order to sustain their activity, working on competitive aspects in order to enhance employees’ performance levels, for example, by implementing simple Performance Evaluation (PE) tools that can be used to professionalize their organization and, ultimately, help to sustain their structural competitiveness. The hypothesis of this study -which was corroborated- suggests that a simple PE tool, based on Administration By Objectives (ABO) can provide with significant benefits in terms of HR management while improving Argentinean SME structural competitiveness. It was used a quali-quantitative methodology, with a qualitative predominance. The study was exploratory and descriptive, with a not experimental and transversal design.

The remainance and development in the market depend, among other factors, on the quality of sold products or provided services, which is a situation of concern in sectors such as tourism where globalization demands first level services, as is the case in the city of Campeche, where businessmen are investing in hotel infrastructure according to the colonial characteristics of the town. The research´s objective is to identify the incidence of leadership in the quality of services under the perception of hotel managers as responsible for the operability results. This research is a descriptive type with non-experimental transversal design, with a enumerated population; the results obtained through the quality and leadership indexes indicate that, contrary to expectations, managers consider that the provided services don´t have an adequate level of quality, and the design of new strategies is needed to improve the processes under the transformational leadership which must face problems with opportunity in order to innovate in the services of the market where they participate.

Environmental education emerges as a crucial need in today’s circumstances, in academic contexts such as universities, it implies introducing environmental contents and criteria in the corpus of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values outlined in the curricula, which could allow the students to perform professionally in environmental schemes and circumstances. The objective of this essay is to analyze: 1) The insertion of the issue of Sustainable Development in Public Accounting, and 2) To identify the different possible approaches to Sustainable Development in the curricula. The environmental framework represents an innovation in the curricula development, since it highlights not only the human being as an individual and the society as important participants in this issue, but also the global environment in a double role, both as a partaker and a mediating element for a new society, Chacón, 2004 quoted by (Cóndor, 2018). Starting from the fact that universities have included the environmental framework in their programs and as part of their quality standards, we analyze how sustainability is insert in the Public Accounting Degree since the curriculum was restructured in 2015 (DACEA-UJAT. LCP. 206). An exploratory analysis is undertaken, to compare UJAT with other universities in Mexico by identifying indicators that represent the insertion of this framework with a transversal design among institutions and their curricula. The main goal is to strengthen the outline and contents of the subject Accounting for Sustainability.
