The tensile performance of ductile tubes can be enhanced by the application of fillers. Research studies on the mechanical performance of filled tensile tubes have mainly focused on experiments and numerical simulations on concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) components, while the effects of factors such as size, section pattern, and material of filled tensile tubes on their performance have rarely been studied. In this research, the effects of size, section pattern, and material on the tensile performance of filled tubes have been evaluated through theoretical studies, simulations, and experiments. The tensile strength reinforcement and deformation weakening coefficients of filled circular thin-walled tubes corresponding to hollow tubes were theoretically deduced, and the influencing factors of the two were parametrically evaluated. Tensile performances of filled tubes with circular and square sections were compared with each other through numerical methods. In the current research, the circular section was optimized and prestressed circular hollow support section was proposed. Tensile fracture tests were performed on circular thin-walled tubes made of six different materials to determine material effects on the tensile performance of these structures. It was also found that metallic materials with good ductility significantly enhanced the tensile performance, fracture toughness, and energy consumption of test components containing prestressed filler.

The paper presents a method of using the reduction factor to ensure the stability of monolithic reinforced concrete bearing structures to progressive collapse. Studies have established the values of the reduction factor based on the accepted value of the relative deformation corresponding to the formation of an admissible zone of "destruction" of the support section of the overlap under the action of transverse forces, as the main criterion for asessing the stress-strain state of monolithic reinforced concrete structures for the failure mode of a vertical supporting structure. The accepted deformation criteria for a special limiting state correctly reflect the conditions for the formation of an admissible amount of damage to elements of bearing reinforced concrete systems. The reduction factor (K1) obtained in the framework of the research performed is the most important deformation characteristic of the special limiting state of monolithic reinforced concrete bearing systems of buildings and structures for an emergency design situation associated with the failure of a local structural element.

The paper at hand presents the recently published COPIUS Orthographic Toolset’s Mansi module. This open-source software, part of the COPIUS drive to create necessary international infrastructures for teaching/learning and researching Uralic languages, allows for rule-based transcription between four basic writing systems historically used for Mansi: the Cyrillic alphabet, the Latin-based Unified Northern Alphabet (UNA), Finno-Ugric Transcription (FUT), and the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). The software aims to take variation in the usage of these respective writing systems into consideration as best possible in a purely rule-based approach currently lacking lexical support. Section 1 will give a short summary of the history of Mansi literacy and aims to elucidate how changing trends, both local and Russia-wide, influenced the manner in which Mansi was captured in writing by scientists and speakers throughout history. Section 2 will give an overview of (Northern) Mansi phonology and discuss how difficult aspects of it are handled in the writing systems under consideration. Finally, Section 3 will illustrate the transcription software, in its current version, in action, with a sample text transcribed from each of the four writing systems under consideration into the three other ones.

[EN] The evaluation of existing food court structural capacity with area size 1024m2 planned to be transformed to Cinemax. This research is purposed to determine permit capacity of existing structural elements on the beam and slab elements by providing various live loads. The structure is modeled using the ETABS 2015 program to analyze the internal forces on the beam elements. Then to analyze forces within slabs structures were modeled using the SAP 2015. The area covered in this evaluation is the floor slab-3 column centre J-R, and 2-5. The evaluation show for floor slab case in x-axis span, ignoring deflection of the beam, in response to 400 - 500 kg/m2 live load is considered to be safe (OK), 600 kg/m2 live load is considered to be critical, 700 kg/m2 live load is cosidered to be unsafe (NO-OK). In y-axis span, in response to 400 kg/m2 live load, it is considered safe (OK), 500 kg/m2 live load is considered critical, 600 kg/m2 live load is considered unsafe (NO-OK). All slabs assumed as its sole load without putting beam deflection into equation are considered safe in response to 500 - 600 kg/m2 live load. For main beams case (350x650), bending moment in support section is considered to be safe (OK) in all case of live load ranging from 500 - 800 kg/m2. While bending moment in midspan section, in response to 500-600 kg/m2 live load is considered to be safe (OK), 700 kg/m2 live load is considered to be unsafe (NO-OK).

<p><em>This paper investigates the different verbal and non-verbal meaning making resources manifested in the speeches of Akron, Ohio and Phoenix, Arizona delivered by Donald Trump during his presidential campaign in 2016.  The way verbal and non-verbal resources combine or interact intersemiotically unravels how Donald Trump attempts to affect his audience and reveal his populist leadership. For that end, the researcher carried out an analysis that is divided into two sections. Section one is devoted to a ‘themes’ analysis to isolate the overarching themes and illuminate the major topics addressed by President Donald Trump to seek his audience’s support. Section two follows SF-MDA which relies on Halliday’s systemic functional linguistics (Halliday, 1978, 1994; Halliday &amp; Matthiessen, 2004/2014) for the analysis of verbal meaning- making resources and Kress and Van Leeuwen’s visual grammar (1996/2006) for the analysis of non-verbal resources. The analysis reveals that both verbal and non-verbal meaning-making resources, in terms of representational, interactive and compositional meanings, work intersemiotically to deliver a full account of meaning and unravel Donald Trump's populist leadership.</em></p>

One of the current trends in the technology of supporting capital and preparatory workings is the use of contact grouting. The contact grouting is designed to increase the bearing capacity of the frame supports. The paper considers a method for calculating the support pressure and the displacement of the support crown. The calculation method is based on the interaction of the system of blocks “support – filling layer - broken rock layer - undisturbed rock”. The following factors were taken into account in the method of calculating the frame arch support: depth of the roadway development, mine working cross-section, the support section, the width of the filling layer and its deformation characteristics, as well as the deformation and strength characteristics of the rock mass. Checking of the support strength state is done by comparing the calculated load versus the rated bearing capacity of the support. The developed technique allows making the choice of support in various mining conditions of the application.
