Redesign and building a cracker drying machine should give priority to several factors to find the optimal point, one of which is by conducting experimental experiments. This research was carried out to find out from the tool and also pay attention to several things, such as temperature and fan speed. If one of these factors is ignored, it will not produce dry crackers and the dried crackers are less than optimal. The Independent parameters used in this research are temperature and fan speed. Dependent parameters used in this research are concerning drying time, final weight, and energy consumption. Design experiment using Factorial 3x3. Fan speed has 3 levels, they are 1000rpm, 1500rpm and 2000rpm. The Temperature parameter has 3 levels, they are 16, 19, and 21oC. Based on the design of experiment results, it was found that the drying time response for the combination that has the highest ranking is at a temperature of 19oC with a 2000rpm fan speed resulting in a drying time of 182,677 minutes.

The development of physicochemical methods for the analysis of objects of complex composition requires the application of methods of mathematical experiment design. This article investigates the possibility of using probabilistic-deterministic design of experiment (PDDoE) for obtaining a mathematical model of the chromatographic separation process of coal tar hydrogenation products on an Agilent 7890A device with an Rxi-5ms column. It is shown that the relationship between the column heating rate and the carrier gas pressure with the values averaged for the entire chromatogram can be established with a high accuracy. It is noted that the accuracy of modeling the individual characteristics of the mixture components’ peaks is less, but remains sufficient for many practical needs. Nonlinear multiple correlation coefficients (NMC) for the dependence of the average retention time and average intensity on the considered factors are more than 0.99; they are more than 0.98 for the average peak width. NMC for the dependence of the resolution with the relation to the peaks of naphthalene and 2-ethylphenol is more than 0.8 at a significant level that sufficient for practice. The quality of the mathematical model was checked by triple registration of the chromatogram at the values of the column heating rate and carrier gas pressure that were not used in the training experiment. The measurement results are excellent squared with those calculated using the obtained generalized equations. The PDDoE method can be recommended as a method for mathematical design of an optimization experiment in gas chromatography.

The aim of this work is to provide an insight into the rattle noise phenomena occurring in double-tube (twin-tube) vehicle suspension dampers. In the dampers the particular phenomenon results from interactions between the valve(s) and the fluid passing through them. The rattling noise phenomena is known to degrade the vehicle passenger’s perception of ride comfort as well as to influence the performance of the dampers at low and medium speeds in particular. In the paper the authors reveal the results of a DOE (Design of Experiment) study involving several design parameters known to affect rattling occurrence. By running a series of purpose-designed tests the authors investigate not only the contribution of each particular parameter but the interactions between them. The results are presented in the form of pareto charts, main effect plots as well as interaction plots. It is expected the outcome of the analysis will aid in a better comprehension of the phenomena as well the definition of valve configurations to minimize their performance degradation.
