Dentistry is an entrepreneurially oriented public interest profession that must maintain a balance between professional specificity and business sustainability. Communicating with patients is vital in a competitive system, and the dentist needs to use handy resources such as websites and social media. The aim of this research is (a) to examine whether websites and social networks are a digital entrepreneurship tool used in the dentistry profession in Oradea, a city in full economic development in Romania, to promote the profession nationally and internationally, (b) to compare the changes made using digital tools in the period between 2018–2021 for all licensed dentists in the mentioned city (between 430–450 people, depending on the stage of analysis) using the content analysis method and (c) to identify how the lockdown period imposed by the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic influenced not only the sustainability of the medical services provided to the population but also the communication practices of the dental offices. The results of examining the dentist’s online presence reveal that there is an interest among practitioners to grow their business sustainably through a digital presence that is increasingly relevant to them and their clients, but the potential remains under-exploited.

In the materials of the section of the monograph, the competitive and innovative concept of the enterprise is formed, according to which it is considered as an independent socio-economic competitive system, which includes four subsystems: creating the competitiveness of the enterprise; ensuring the competitiveness of goods; forming and rational use of competitive advantages, including territorial ones; ensuring high profitability of the enterprise. A system of incentives for the work of employees of the enterprise has been developed based on a competitive and innovative approach in the context of three directions: the formation of competitive advantages of the enterprise, increasing the competitiveness of products and enterprises, maximizing the profits of the enterprise. Competitive and innovation-oriented labor incentives solve simultaneously the task of activating innovation activity and increasing the demand for innovations and innovations.

The objective of this study was to analyze the ranking scores in Paralympic judo athletes in different visual impairment classifications (B1, B2, and B3) and describe the frequency of athletes of each classification allocated in the first five and last five positions in the ranking list. A total of 488 judo athletes with visual impairment (332 male and 156 female) took part in this study. Data were extracted from the Official Ranking List, documented and organized by the International Blind Sports Federation, and analyzed according to sport classes (B1, B2, and B3) and weight categories. One-way analysis of variance was used to compare the scores among different groups. The main results showed that B1 athletes presented lower total and best scores compared to B2 and B3 counterparts in both female ( p = .020, p < .001, respectively) and male groups ( p = .010, p = .005, respectively). In addition, when analyzing the ranking list position, there was a higher percentage of B1 athletes in the last five positions in female (60%) and male groups (60%) than B2 and B3 athletes. Investigations about classification and competitive system can assist coaches and sports organizations to identify the appropriateness of the ranking system scores adopted for athletes with visual impairment. Our findings showed some issues when considering competitive programming that includes all visual impairment classes in the same category.

Liberalization and deregulation process started in 1991 has made lot of changes in the banking system. From a totally regulated environment, banking institutions have moved into a market driven competitive system. Changes gained momentum in the last few years. Globalization would gain greater speed in coming years particularly on account of expected opening up of financial services under WTO. Four trends changed the banking industry world over, viz, consolidation of players through mergers and acquisitions, globalization of operations, development of new technology, and universalisation of banking.

ABSTRACT. Background: The beginning of 2020, more precisely the month of March, when the Covid-19 pandemic was declared, represents the beginning of one of the darkest pages in the history of world sport. The reason is a well-known one, namely the fact that the implementation of measures to prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus have led to the cessation of competitions and the training process, for certain periods of time, in almost all sports. The aim of this study was to see how these measures have influenced the sports activity in Romania, especially that of the sports organizations from Caraş-Severin County (C-S). Thus, a number of 43 sports organizations from CS County were targeted, of which 39.3% being clubs/associations that work only at the level of children and juniors, 12.5% are clubs/associations that have only senior team, and 48.2% are clubs/associations that have both senior team and children/junior teams. All participants agreed that information could be processed and used for scientific purpose, and the study has obtained Research Ethics Approval from The Scientific Council of the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. Methods: An online questionnaire survey was conducted, with 31 items, which aimed to outline an accurate picture of the existing situation among sports organizations, which was the situation of sports competitions in 2020, respectively the 2019-2020 season, which was the situation of the training process in the 10 pandemic months of 2020, but more importantly, what are the current situation of the training process and that of the competitive system. Results: Compared to the sports activity carried out at the level of CS county, a number of 8 team sports and a number of 12 individual sports were taken into account, the answers offered being in proportion of 73% from the coaches from team sports, and 27% from individual sports coaches. It was observed that in team sports 78% of the respondents showed that the 2020-2021 competitive season had not yet started until January 2021, while 14.6% it started and was interrupted. Only 7.3% of the teams are in full competition season, the 2020-2021 championship not being embodied due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was also found that after the resumption of stopped training, as a result of the application of measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic, the number of children decreased both in individual sports and team games. Conclusion: Based on the results, we can see the negative impact of sports organizations that are in the lower leagues, as well as those that are at the level of children and juniors. The fact that training has not been resumed, the measures imposed by the pandemic, the fear induced by a possible infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus can cause the disappearance of a significant number of sports organizations, which will have a negative effect not only on the performance sport, but also on the level of public health.

Abstract In this paper, based on a guanaco-sheep competitive system, we develop and analyze mathematical models with unilateral and bilateral control for the management of overgrazing. We first analyze the dynamics of the uncontrolled system. Then, we investigate the system with impulsive control by differential equation geometry theory. And we mainly prove the existence and stability of order-1 periodic solution for unilateral control system and order-2 periodic solution for bilateral control system. Comparing the unilateral and bilateral control strategy, we encourage bilateral control rather than unilateral control for the management of sheep species.

Precision oncology relies on the use of treatments targeting specific genetic variants. However, identifying clinically actionable variants as well as relevant information likely to be used to treat a patient with a given cancer is a labor-intensive task, which includes searching the literature for a large set of variants. The lack of universally adopted standard nomenclature for variants requires the development of variant-specific literature search engines. We develop a system to perform triage of publications relevant to support an evidence-based decision. Together with providing a ranked list of articles for a given variant, the system is also able to prioritize variants, as found in a Variant Calling Format, assuming that the clinical actionability of a genetic variant is correlated with the volume of literature published about the variant. Our system searches within three pre-annotated document collections: MEDLINE abstracts, PubMed Central full-text articles and ClinicalTrials.gov clinical trials. A variant synonym generator is used to increase the comprehensiveness of the set of retrieved documents. We then apply different strategies to rank the publications. We assess the search effectiveness of the system using different experimental settings. Experimental setting 1: The literature retrieval task is tuned and evaluated using the TREC Precision Medicine 2018 and 2019 benchmarks consisting respectively in 50 and 40 topics. Almost two thirds (62%) of the publications returned in the top-5 are relevant for clinical decision-support. Experimental setting 2: The evaluation of the variant prioritization task is based on a manually-created benchmark composed of eight patients for a total of 756 variants. For each patient, we used both their complete set of variants and tumor board reports. Our approach enabled identifying 81.8% of clinically actionable variants in the top-3. Experimental setting 3: A comparison of Variomes with LitVar, a well-known search engine for genetic variants is performed. Variomes was able to retrieve on average 90.8% of the content, while LitVar retrieved on average 58.6%. Out of the 9.2% articles, which are "missed" by Variomes, a per error analysis suggests that they are artefacts. To conclude, we are proposing here a competitive system to facilitate the curation of variants for personalized medicine.

The formation of a competitive system in a country’s economy is always determined by the possibilities of using tools that stimulate development and form an independent picture for the external environment. In this regard, the study determines the efficiency of antimonopoly regulatory authorities in establishing the criteria and limits of regulation. At the same time, there are cases when antitrust regulation is understood primarily as a form of economic pressure on business entities. The novelty of the study lies in a new consideration of the limits of antitrust regulation. The authors demonstrate that antitrust regulation in its current capacity constitutes a form of limiting the growth of the company and is aimed primarily at reducing the dependence of the market on one stakeholder. The paper identifies the possibilities of additional consideration of the criteria for limiting antitrust regulation in the context of the formation of economic security of a business entity. The paper covers the aspects of determining the limits of state support of economic security of business entities. The practical significance of the study is determined by the need for a more practical harmonization of the legislation of the country with global business standards and a decrease in the level of regulation of the business environment, coupled with its protection from hostile takeovers. The study presents the structure of economic security assurance in the context of the economic system development
