I<span>Image-fusion provide users with detailed information about the urban and rural environment, which is useful for applications such as urban planning and management when higher spatial resolution images are not available. There are different image fusion methods. This paper implements, evaluates, and compares six satellite image-fusion methods, namely wavelet 2D-M transform, gram schmidt, high-frequency modulation, high pass filter (HPF) transform, simple mean value, and PCA. An Ikonos image (Panchromatic-PAN and multispectral-MULTI) showing the northwest of Bogotá (Colombia) is used to generate six fused images</span>: MULTIWavelet 2D-M, MULTIG-S, MULTIMHF, MULTIHPF, MULTISMV, and MULTIPCA. <span>In order to assess the efficiency of the six image-fusion methods, the resulting images were evaluated in terms of both spatial quality and spectral quality. To this end, four metrics were applied, namely the correlation index, erreur relative globale adimensionnelle de synthese (ERGAS), relative average spectral error (RASE) and the Q index. The best results were obtained for the </span> MULTISMV image, which exhibited spectral correlation higher than 0.85, a Q index of 0.84, and the highest scores in spectral assessment according to ERGAS and RASE, 4.36% and 17.39% respectively.

Abstract Low probability of intercept (LPI) radars utilize specially designed waveforms for intra-pulse modulation and hence LPI radars cannot be easily intercepted by passive receivers. The waveforms include linear frequency modulation, nonlinear frequency modulation, polyphase, and polytime codes. The advantages of LPI radar are wide bandwidth, frequency variability, low power, and the ability to hide their emissions. On the other hand, the main purpose of intercept receiver is to classify and estimate the parameters of the waveforms even when the signals are contaminated with noise. Precise measurement of the parameters will provide necessary information about a threat to the radar so that the electronic attack or electronic warfare support system could take instantaneous counter action against the enemy. In this work, noisy polyphase and polytime coded waveforms are analyzed using cyclostationary (CS) algorithm. To improve the signal quality, the noisy signal is pre-processed using two types of denoising filters. The denoised signal is analyzed using CS techniques and the coefficients of spectral correlation density are computed. With this method, modulation parameters of nine types of waveforms up to −12 dB signal-to-noise ratio with an accuracy of better than 95% are extracted. When compared with literature values, it is found that the results are superior.

The aim of the research – assessment of vestibular function in children with acute purulent otitis media by computer static stabilometry compared with typically developed children of the same age. Materials and methods: 22 children with purulent otitis media aged 4 to 7 years and 30 practically healthy peers were examined by static stabilometry on the device “MPFI stabilograph 1” (Kharkiv, Ukraine). Indicators of variation and shape of the pressure center distribution, spectral-correlation indicators of stabilograms, as well as integral indicators of stability (length, velocity and angle of postural oscillations) were taken into account and the equilibrium functions of the two sensory states (open and closed eyes) are calculated in the StabiliS software. Results: purulent otitis media causes posterior displacement of the absolute coordinates of the pressure center. In the state with closed eyes, children with purulent otitis differ from their healthy coevals by 14 of 24 stabilometric parameters, including stabilogram length, speed, angle and amplitude of oscillations, giving way to them in the stability of equilibrium. Children with purulent otitis media are more sensitive to the visual canal of postural control than their coevals. Involvement of visual afferents in postural control significantly improves balance maintenance in children with purulent otitis by reducing deviations of postural oscillations, which is reflected in the probable changes of 9 out of 24 stabilometric parameters compared to control. Conclusions: In preschool age, purulent otitis media leads to latent vestibular dysfunction, which is manifested by a violation of the stability of the vertical posture in a state with closed eyes and is compensated by visual-vestibulo-proprioceptive integration in the process of postural control.

Abstract The methods of synthesis of the directional diagram of active transmitting antenna arrays when receiving signals reflected from radar targets are considered. It is shown that when using multifrequency orthogonal coherent signals in the elements and addressable access at their reception it is possible to provide a small level of the side lobes of the spatial uncertainty function in a given sector of observation by selecting the type of intrapulse modulation of partial signals. Orthogonalization of antenna basis of transmitting and receiving antennas allows digital spectral-correlation processing of samples of aggregate signal from each target to solve the technological problem of multidimensional observation space in multiposition systems of coherent radiolocation when detecting, resolving, estimating coordinates and motion parameters of targets. The results of simulation modeling of spatio-temporal radar modems implemented according to the stated principles are given.

This paper presents the research results of applying the combined method of probabilistic statistical approaches, energy density spectral correlation, two-dimensional filtering in dynamic sliding windows, full horizontal gradient and heterogeneous axis tracking method to process and interpret the Bughe gravitational anomaly field in central area Vietnam. The calculation results have shown the superiority of the twodimensional filter in dynamic sliding windows compared to the filters in fixed windows in GEOSOFT software, GMT software. According to the physical characteristics of the field, the study area was divided into 13 homogeneous classes, this result is consistent with the geological-tectonic data in the area. In the north and northeast, the stabilized rock layers are characterized by homogeneous layers that extend in the northwestsoutheast direction. In the south and southwest, there is complex tectonic activity characterized by high density rock layers overlain by low density rock layers in each fault band with different directions of development. This suggests that there may be deeply buried mineral deposits of magmatic origin in central area Vietnam.

Bearings are the critical parts that support the rotating of rotor of wind turbine generators. Due to high speed revolution and affected by potential misalignment between rotor and the high speed shaft in wind turbine gearbox, the fault ratio in wind turbine generator bearings is high. Once the bearings fail, it will cause gap eccentricity, even rub, or sweeping chamber between rotor and stator. Under fault conditions, the vibration signals from rotating machinery exhibits distinct second cyclostationarity. In the light of this, the fast spectral correlation based method is applied to the fault extraction of bearings in wind turbine generators. Through converting conventional correlation into summation algorithm, the computational cost is reduced largely, meanwhile, the diagnosis accuracy is guaranteed. The effectiveness of the method in this paper is verified by two fault cases from on-site wind turbines.

A mixed sample data augmentation strategy is proposed to enhance the performance of models on audio scene classification, sound event classification, and speech enhancement tasks. While there have been several augmentation methods shown to be effective in improving image classification performance, their efficacy toward time-frequency domain features of audio is not assured. We propose a novel audio data augmentation approach named "Specmix" specifically designed for dealing with time-frequency domain features. The augmentation method consists of mixing two different data samples by applying time-frequency masks effective in preserving the spectral correlation of each audio sample. Our experiments on acoustic scene classification, sound event classification, and speech enhancement tasks show that the proposed Specmix improves the performance of various neural network architectures by a maximum of 2.7\%.
