Abstract We examine the behavior of the Ramond ground states in the D1-D5 CFT after a deformation of the free-orbifold sigma model on target space ($$ {\mathbbm{T}}^4 $$ T 4 )N/SN by a marginal interaction operator. These states are compositions of Ramond ground states of the twisted and untwisted sectors. They are characterized by a conjugacy class of SN and by the set of their “spins”, including both R-charge and “internal” SU(2) charge. We compute the four-point functions of an arbitrary Ramond ground state with its conjugate and two interaction operators, for genus-zero covering surfaces representing the leading orders in the large-N expansion. We examine short distance limits of these four-point functions, shedding light on the dynamics of the interacting theory. We find the OPEs and a collection of structure constants of the ground states with the interaction operators and a set of resulting non-BPS twisted operators. We also calculate the integrals of the four-point functions over the positions of the interaction operators and show that they vanish. This provides an explicit demonstration that the Ramond ground states remain protected against deformations away of the free orbifold point, as expected from algebraic considerations using the spectral flow of the $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = (4, 4) superconformal algebra with central charge c = 6N.

In frame of Dirac quantum field theory that describes electrons and positrons as elementary excitations of the spinor field, the generalized operator of the spin-orbit interaction is obtained using non-relativistic approximation in the Hamilton operator of the spinor field taking into account the presence of an external potential. This operator is shown to contain a new term in addition to the known ones. By an example of a model potential in the form of a quantum well, it is demonstrated that the Schr¨odinger equation with the generalized spin-orbit interaction operator describes all spin states obtained directly from the Dirac equation. The dependence of the spin-orbit interaction on the spin states in quasi-two-dimensional systems of electrons localized in a quantum well is analyzed. It is demonstrated that the electric current in the quantum well layer induces the spin polarization of charge carriers near the boundary surfaces of the layer, with the polarization of the charge carriers being opposite at the different surfaces. This phenomenon appears due to the spin-orbit interaction and is known as the spin Hall effect, which was observed experimentally in heterostructures with the corresponding geometry.

Third-order correlation functions for two particles with the electrostatic interaction have been obtained for the first time using the direct algebraic method. The main relations for the correlation functions that do not depend on the explicit form of the interaction potential between particles, as well as the relations that appear for four specific forms of the interaction operator, are considered.

We calculate hyperfine structure intervals for P–states in muonic ions of lithium, beryllium and boron. To construct the particle interaction operator in momentum space we use the tensor method ofprojection operators on states with definite quantum numbers of total atomic momentum F and total muonmomentum j. We take into account vacuum polarization, relativistic, quadruple and structure corrections of orders α4, α5 and α6. The obtained numerical values of hyperfine splittings can be used for a comparison with future experimental data.

We calculate the meson exchange contribution to the interaction operator of muon and proton, which is determined by the meson coupling with two photon state. For the construction of transition form factor Meson → γγ we use the existing parametrizations based on experimental data including the monopole parametrization over photon four-momenta. For an estimate of the form factor value atzero photon four-momenta squared we use experimental data on the decay width ΓMeson→γγ. It is shown that scalar, pseudoscalar, axial vector and tensor mesons exchanges give significant contribution to the Lamb shift (LS) and hyperfine splitting (HFS) in muonic hydrogen which should be taken into account for a comparison with precise experimental data.

Current status of the proton size puzzle from experimental and theoretical points of view is briefly discussed. The interest to these studies is primarily related to experiments conducted by the CREMA collaboration (Charge Radius Experi- ments with Muonic Atoms) with muonic hydrogen and deuterium by methods of laser spectroscopy. As a result a more accurate value of the proton charge radius was found to be rp = 0:84184(67) fm, which is different from the value recommended by CODATA for 7σ. In the second part we discuss recent calculations of the contribution of light pseudoscalar (PS) and axial-vector (AV) mesons to the interaction operator of a muon and a proton in muonic hydrogen atom, with the coupling of mesons to the muon being via two-photon intermediate state. Numerical estimates of the contributions to the hyperfine structure of the spectrum of the S and P levels are presented. It is shown that such contribution to the hyperfine splitting in muonic hydrogen is rather important for a comparison with precise experimental data.

A data warehouse, which is a central repository of the detailed historical data of an enterprise, is designed primarily for supporting high-volume analytical processing in order to support strategic decision-making. Queries for such decision-making are exploratory, long and intricate in nature and involve the summarization and aggregation of data. Furthermore, the rapidly growing volume of data warehouses makes the response times of queries substantially large. The query response times need to be reduced in order to reduce delays in decision-making. Materializing an appropriate subset of views has been found to be an effective alternative for achieving acceptable response times for analytical queries. This problem, being an NP-Complete problem, can be addressed using swarm intelligence techniques. One such technique, i.e., the similarity interaction operator-based particle swarm optimization (SIPSO), has been used to address this problem. Accordingly, a SIPSO-based view selection algorithm (SIPSOVSA), which selects the Top-[Formula: see text] views from a multidimensional lattice, has been proposed in this paper. Experimental comparison with the most fundamental view selection algorithm shows that the former is able to select relatively better quality Top-[Formula: see text] views for materialization. As a result, the views selected using SIPSOVSA improve the performance of analytical queries that lead to greater efficiency in decision-making.
