The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of eradication therapy on the quality of life of patients with chronic erosive gastritis induced with Helicobacter pylori. The quality of life was assessed according to the GIQLI questionnaire before treatment during incomplete remission, remission, and during the year. It was found that the exacerbation of the disease significantly changes the level of quality of life of patients, and the complex treatment, eradication of Helicobacter pylori, which stopped the exacerbation of the disease, gradually increases and brings this indicator closer to the control group. The gastrointestinal quality of life index can be used as an additional criterion for diagnosing the stages of chronic erosive gastritis, for evaluating the effectiveness of therapy, determining the timing of treatment, rehabilitation and prevention in the dispensary management of patients at the therapeutic site.

Purpose: To assess the productive qualities of donor cows, taking into account the transmitting capacity of their families. To study the possibility of using this criterion to predict the breeding qualities of descendants.Materials and methods. The assessment of the transmitting ability of animals was carried out according to the System for assessing the breeding qualities of dairy cattle by transmitting ability (2010). A genealogical database of first-calf heifers in herd «Petrovsky» (more than 9500 heads) has been formed. The estimation of the transmitting capacity of productive traits of 111 families, to which 132 cows from the donor herd belonged, was carried out.Results. It was found that 44 donors belonged to the «best» families in terms of milk yield and 348 embryos were frozen from them. From 31 donors from the «worst» families in terms of milk yield, 199 embryos were frozen. Linear profiles of families were compiled according to the characteristics of their transmitting capacity for five indicators of milk productivity. It is shown that the probability that the descendants of cows from the «worst» families in terms of transmitting ability will have high rates for the trait we are interested in is approximately 18–20%. In families of the «best» category, this probability is 45% or more.Conclusion. Evaluation of productive traits in terms of transmitting capacity is an important additional criterion when choosing the most valuable cows as embryo’s donor. Compilation of linear profiles of families allows you to obtain objective information about their breeding value in relation to productive traits.

The aim: Predicting the effectiveness of treatment for MRI of the lungs by developing a mathematical model to predict treatment outcomes. Materials and methods: 84 patients with MRI of the lungs: group 1 (n = 56) – with signs of effective TB treatment at the end of the intensive phase; group 2 (n = 28) – patients with signs of ineffective treatment. We used the multivariate discriminant analysis method using the statistical environment STATISTICA 13. Results: During the discriminant analysis, the parameters of the clinical blood analysis (monocytes, stab leukocytes, erythrocytes) were selected, which were associated with high (r> 0.5) statistically significant correlations with the levels of MMP-9, TIMP-1, oxyproline and its fractions and aldosterone in the formation of the prognosis. The mathematical model allows, in the form of comparing the results of solving two linear equations and comparing their results, to predict the outcome of treatment: “1” effective treatment, “2” – ineffective treatment. Early prediction of treatment effectiveness is promising, as it allows the use of the developed mathematical model as an additional criterion for the selection of patients for whom surgical treatment is recommended, in order to increase the effectiveness of treatment. Conclusions: An additional criterion for predicting ineffective MRI treatment, along with the criteria provided for by WHO recommendations, is a mathematical model that takes into account probably strong correlation (r = 0.5, p <0.05) between the factors of connective tissue destruction, collagen destruction, aldosterone , and indicators of a clinical blood test (between levels of OBZ and monocytes (r = 0.82, p = 0.00001), OB and monocytes (r = 0.92, p = 0.000001) OB and stab leukocytes (r = – 0.87, p = 0.0003) OBZ and stab leukocytes (r = – 0.53, p = 0.017), aldosterone and ESR.

The study of descriptive representation is key in projects that aim to understand and further gender equality. But what does it mean to achieve gender equality in descriptive representation? And how can descriptive equality be measured and understood? Gender and politics scholarship contends that gender equality is about more than counting women and men in elected assemblies. Concerns related to power, agency, and intersectionality should equally be addressed. This chapter engages with these challenges by going back to the conceptual roots of descriptive representation. Based on a re-reading of Pitkin’s foundational study on representation, it suggests that scholars can counter several of the complexities that have been identified by taking information-giving on board as an additional criterion. Studying descriptive representation as information-giving would allow for an improved understanding of the causes and consequences of political inequality, and of descriptive representatives as a source of equality in other political spheres.

The paper concludes that there is a lack of uniform judicial practice concerning the use of free geoinformation systems and cartographic services based on high-resolution satellite images in the field of protection of environmental rights and rights to natural resources. The author has defined additional criteria of relevance and reliability of public satellite images and parts of digital maps when they are used as evidence in the category of cases under consideration. Additional criteria for the relevance of such evidence should include: (1) the existence of geographical coordinates or their independent georeferencing and gridding by means of an existing or other program when compared with other images or digital maps; 2) indication of the date of shooting; 3) quality (clarity, high resolution, absence of clouds, fog and other visual “obstacles”), which allows us to “read” satellite image and parts of the digital map.An additional criterion for the credibility of such evidence should include the possibility of “double” verification. First, one needs verifying that the printout or screenshot of a page of the Internet site containing an image of a public satellite image or a part of a digital map correspond to the satellite image itself or a part of a digital map using the specified date, geographic coordinates, and scale. Second, one needs verifying that the information about circumstances recorded in public satellite images and parts of digital maps corresponds to the actual circumstances. In law enforcement, approaches contrary to screenshots of pages of Internet sites used as evidence have been determined. It is shown that the additional criterion of evidentiary relevance of screenshots in cases under consideration is characterized as sufficient.

This paper seeks to gain a greater understanding of how decision-makers practice discretion in the context of the Habitual Residence Condition, an additional criterion for eligibility to social assistance payments in the Republic of Ireland. The paper identifies two approaches to using discretion: nomocratic and telocratic, with both largely emerging as a result of specific structural and cultural conditions that exist within the organisations concerned, and directly impacting the decision-making practices of public servants. Some decision-makers are found to be happy to make discretionary decisions, while others struggle, resist and protest against the deployment of discretion in the provision of social assistance, instead arguing for rigid rules that can be applied to all welfare applicants.

In discussed issue the additional criterion for chromium-nickel steels surface state assessment is proposed. It is used in periodic potentiostatic regime of stainless steels surface state monitoring under the condition of pitting corrosion origin. Electrochemical investigations were carried out with pitting corrosion resistant austenitic (12Х18Н10Т) and austenitic-ferritic chromium-nickel steels 10Х17Н13М2Т in chloride solutions of 0.1 mol/L NaCl and 0.5 mol/l NaCl with the additional oxidant K2Cr2O7. Polarization curves were recorded under potentiostatic mode of polarization in the electrochemical three-electrode cell using the ZIVE SP2 workstation and a personal computer. The fast Fourier transformation method was used for conducting the spectral analysis, as this method is more effective in terms of the algorithmic complexity when processing a large amount of the initial data. It is established that scalar impedance angular coefficient shows the current oscillation frequencies change concerned with the pitting occurrence and passivation process. The scalar impedance angular coefficient allows to estimate the pitting corrosion evaluation processes boundaries: passivity; metal dissolution due to the development of metastable pittings; the metastable nucleation and passivation processes concurred with the stable pitting development. The algorithm based on the statistical method of spectral analyses for scalar impedance angular coefficient calculation is developed. It is established that the decrease in passive film total resistance corresponds to the breakdown process and first metastable, and then stable local surface destructions that reflect on the higher the scalar impedance angular coefficient value. The boundary values of an additional criterion for surface state assessment were proposed, on the basis of which an interval scale was constructed to determine the current state of the surface of chromium-nickel steels. It is shown that the boundary values of the scalar impedance angular coefficient correspond to the metallographic studies of investigated steels.

Little empirical research has been conducted on prodigies, in no small part due to the fact that there exists no agreed-upon definition with which to identify them. The most widespread definition characterizes a prodigy as a child who, at a very young age (typically before 10) performs at an adult professional level (Feldman & Goldsmith, 1986). We tested this definition by asking musicians and nonmusicians to (1) judge whether audio clips were played by a prodigy or a professional, and (2) identify which of two clips of the same piece was played by a prodigy. Listeners performed above chance in both tasks but by a very modest margin, and musicians performed better than nonmusicians. Their low performance implies that prodigies perform well enough to be judged in terms of the most demanding criteria of performance in the field. Yet older prodigies (11 to 14) were harder to distinguish from professionals than younger prodigies (under 10), suggesting a protracted developmental trajectory for prodigy performance. Furthermore, the rate at which prodigies progressed in their playing appears higher than for regular students, suggesting that rate of progress might be used as an additional criterion for defining music prodigy.

The article describes the lexical synonyms of the Evenki language by the example of adjectives denoting the character traits of a person. Their nature is revealed, and a general characterization is given, with specific features identified. The study has employed the most applicable synonymic criteria for Evenki lexical material described in the theoretical literature and used in the research practice of the lexical synonymy of different languages. The ways and means of synonymous resource formation have been revealed. The principle of selecting synonymous series in the Evenki language and allocating the dominant has been developed. The specific features of the synonymic series of the lexical-grammatical category of Evenki adjectives have been clarified, as well as the selected types of lexical synonyms have been characterized. When defining lexical synonyms, it is fundamentally important to understand them as different linguistic units expressing the same concept. The main criterion for distinguishing lexical synonyms in the Evenki language is the commonality of the semantic basis, allowing for the differences of the semantic, stylistic, emotionally expressive nature within the same concept. An additional criterion is the interchangeability of synonyms in determining their meanings.
