Social mobility and physical restrictions imposed to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic have posed a severe challenge to operate under conventional nine to five work practices in a physical office setting. As a coping strategy for the survival of business, economy, and livelihoods, certain organisations were compelled to transform to virtual office platforms. This was a sudden transformation of work practices and consequently, impacting with mixed outcomes on lifestyles of workers. Given that very limited studies have shed light into the context, this study contributes immensely to fill research gap. The main objective of this study is to identify the impact of the virtual office platform on work-life balance in the Sri Lankan context. The methodology adopted for this study is quantitative. An online questionnaire to collect data was primarily distributed to employees in the virtual platform. Analysis of this study is based on three regression models and results ascertain that both working and non-working environments have highly significant impact on the work-life balance, although non-working environment has a bigger influence on work balance (Gender and no of children). Findings are useful and unique, enabling both employers and employees to adopt a focused approach to maximize the potential of virtual platforms to enhance employee well-being so that mutual benefits can be materialized.

This study aims to analyze the taxation aspects of virtual office rental services. With the issuance of PMK-147/PMK.03/2017, it is hoped that taxpayers will find it easier to carry out their tax obligations related to virtual office rental services. Using a descriptive study approach, this qualitative research is expected to describe and understand the phenomenon of virtual office rental services with a deep focus. The study results indicate that there are still differences in the definition of a virtual office between taxpayers and the DGT, giving rise to the practice of imposing different virtual office rental taxes between taxpayers. Income from virtual office rental services is subject to Income Tax Article 4 paragraph (2), Income Tax Article 23, and Income Tax Article 4 paragraph (1). Thus, regulatory certainty is needed on the taxation of virtual office rental services.

Planning appointments has become a daunting task especially for health professionals in hospitals and clinics. Failure of appointment appointments can also result in dispersed appointments, increased number of shows, general patient dissatisfaction and financial losses for health organizations. Many day-to-day medical centers now use a combination of telephone-based planning and computer-based appointments but there is still a technical and human error gap. This online facility can add power to any hospital or clinic website. Reduces the hard work associated with managing a medical environment. More time to commit to patient care, better patient compliance and financial efficiency are other rewards. The integration of covid time, technology and rapid population growth has been strongly driven to introduce patient planning online. In this used project, you sometimes experience minor problems where you need to consult a doctor about your health problems or nearby and follow their meetings. The Online Doctor System will provide one authorized direct communication between the doctors of your choice if necessary for your minor problems. Using the web Online Healthcare System, patients will be able to complete online forms in seconds before entering the virtual office room. It will also allow you to upload your lab results such as x-ray copies, medical history etc which your doctors may refer you for.

Mathematics teachers face great difficulties during virtual communication with their students, mainly because scientific and technical subjects use a great many mathematical symbols, abstract objects and a wide variety of technical nomenclatures that are not directly represented on the keyboards of computers, tablets or other communication devices. This paper aims to facilitate oral and written communication between teachers and students in mathematics subjects. In this regard, we describe realistic procedures for use in virtual office hours. We analyse different methods that combine the use of computers, tablets, webcams and an institutional video lecture system. The improvement in oral and written communication will have a positive effect on academic performance and decrease the dropout rate in distance learning courses, because the students feel more closely accompanied in their learning.
