Educational services marketing strategies are becoming increasingly crucial in line with the role of educational institutions. However, only a few educational institutions have implemented strategies in marketing their educational services to the public. This study examines the marketing strategy of educational services at Nasima Elementary School Semarang. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. Data related to marketing management of educational services obtained from interviews, observation, and documentation, then tested by triangulation and then analyzed. The results of this study indicate two marketing strategies by SD Nasima Semarang, namely: internal marketing and external marketing. In internal marketing, the strategy implemented is to provide direct admission policies for TK Nasima alumni, giving discounts, parenting classes, and optimizing the roles of homeroom teachers, teachers, and guardians of students. As for external marketing, the strategy is to establish partnerships with kindergartens in the Nasima market area, distribute brochures, load information about Nasima schools, install banners, strategic billboards, hold educational exhibitions, free trial classes, and open houses. The Nasima Elementary School Education Model has quite a significant opportunity because many middle-class people are aware that religion needs good quality Islamic education. On the other hand, the challenge is the provision of good quality and innovative education. In this case, SD Nasima is the first education in Semarang to hold a full-day school.

Abstract Numbers coming out of education departments in Australia suggest that, even though most Australian schools are open, and families are able to send their children to them, increasing numbers of parents are deciding to keep their children at home for their education (Queensland Government: Department of Education, 2020). It may be that, as the president of Australia’s home education representative body stated during the pandemic, Covid school closures offered a “risk-free trial” of home education (Lever, 2020) by providing an a-posteriori experience of education outside of schools. Building on the Covid experiences, this paper suggests that ‘accidentally falling into’ home education may be significant in understanding parents’ home education choices. Using numbers of home educators from Australia, and the associated data on their location and ages, this paper argues responsibilisation (see Doherty & Dooley, 2018) provides a suitable lens to examine how parents may decide, after an a-posteriori experience such as Covid school closures and previous, often negative, experiences of schooling, to home educate in the medium to long term. This paper proposes that increasing numbers of home educators will be seen in various jurisdictions where families perceive themselves responsibilised to home educate due to Covid as an a-posteriori experiences of home education. The paper proposes these families are ‘accidental’ home educators (English, 2021). By contrast, much more stable is the ‘deliberate’ home education population, those whose choices are based in a-priori beliefs about schooling. The paper proposes that the accidental home education category may be better able to explain the growing numbers of home educators in Australia and across the world, providing a means for governments to respond to the needs of this cohort, and the policies required to manage this population.

Introduction. In the context of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the extent of the damage in the worldwide population and health systems forced governments to find rapid and efficient countermeasures. Thus, global efforts are made to combat this disease and among the identified possible solutions to enforce the frontline workforce is to allow medical and nursing students to help in medical care. This survey proposes to assess the Romanian students’ self-perceived preparedness, considering their theoretical and practical knowledge. Methods. The survey was based on an 11-item form which aimed to evaluate the preparedness of the students to efficiently protect against the COVID-19 infection in a hospital setting, the overall willingness of the students to volunteer and the possible barriers that might prevent their involvement. For this purpose, a total number of 1021 responders, from which 18% nursing students and 82% medical students, from public and private medical schools of Romania, were included. Data processing was made using a free trial of GraphPad PRISM 8.0. The calculated parameters were: mean value, standard deviation, and confidence intervals (CI) and the level of significance was P<0.05. Results. Based on the collected data, we evidenced that the majority of the respondents (93%) acknowledged practical skills as a main positive factor for the decision to join the healthcare frontline. A strong, positive correlation between the self-perceived practical skills level, preparedness and the willingness to voluntarily involve in medical assistance was found. Conclusion. A significantly high level of practical skills and preparedness level in self-protecting effectively against COVID-19 was mainly seen in the following subgroups: the nursing students and the students that had previously been part of organized medical volunteer structures, revealing the practical experience to be a determining factor of preparedness.

Background: In general, people consume catfish meat as a source of protein and a high content of omega 3, while the bones are disposed of as waste. Collagen is a protein derivative that has the effect of maintaining skin elasticity. Objective: To find out whether the catfish bone collagen can be formulated into lotions which in certain consentration can moisturize and do not irritate the skin. Method: Extraction of collagen from catfish bones, characterization of collagen by infrared spectrophotometry, making collagen lotion of catfish bones with a concentration of 1%, 1.5%, 2.5%, 3.5% and evaluation of collagen lotion preparations and test the ability of the preparation to moisturize. skin using a Skin moisturizer detector (SG- ed statistically using the ANOVA test with SPSS 20 Free trial. Result: Catfish bones contained collagen in waves of 3250-3350 cm-1 and 1260-1630 cm-1 which indicated the presence of amine and amide groups. The statistical test results show the probability is smaller than 0.05. The highest humidity was in the FE formula which contained 3.5% collagen with a moisture percentage of 53.0% with a level of "Moist" but lower than the lotions on the market with a percentage of 54.3%. Conclusion: Catfish bone collagen can be formulated into oil-in-water (M/A) emulsion type lotion.

The software industry is increasingly adopting a feature-limited freemium business model that combines “free” and “premium” contents in one product, to sell its products. How to determine the optimal product quality differences between the free and premium versions of software is a central business problem facing many software vendors. In this paper, we study the optimal feature-limited freemium software strategy design, as well as the associated pricing strategies based on consumer learning and network externality effects. We propose a new consumer learning framework induced by cross-module synergies that contains both direct and indirect learning processes. By employing a two-stage mathematical theoretical model and a numerical analysis method, we gained some insights regarding the feature-limited free trial strategy design and associated pricing strategies while considering the associated trade-off between the benefits and costs of the free trial strategy. In our modeling and numerical results, consumers’ prior beliefs about the quality of premium content before the free trial, network effect intensity, and indirect learning intensity were found to be three conditions that need to be studied to examine software vendors’ management decisions. For the software industry, the quality difference between free and premium functionality or the service and price strategy for a feature-limited free trial model can be designed while considering these factors, which will provide some useful guidelines for the industry.
