Introduction: The aim of this study was to explore associations of workplace health culture and workplace health promotion (WHP) performance with employees' healthy lifestyles and health statuses. Methods: In total, 27 enterprises and 1,732 participants were recruited for a cross-sectional designed survey. At the group level, Workplace Health Scorecard was used to measure WHP performance, and it was filled out by the WHP representative at each workplace. At the personal level, a personal questionnaire was used to measure workplace health culture, healthy lifestyles, and health statuses. A hierarchical linear model analysis was used to assess correlations between these variables. Results: Workplace health culture was significantly related to WHP performance, healthy lifestyles, and health statuses. In particular, the peer support domain was greatly related to healthy behaviors like physical activity (β = 0.596, p < 0.001), vegetable consumption (β = 0.291, p < 0.001) and fruit consumption (β = 0.285, p < 0.05), and it may illustrate the importance of establishing peer support to promote healthy behaviors. Conclusions: WHP performance was significantly related to workplace health culture especially health policies, health climate, and peer and supervisor support. Hence, building a good workplace health culture should be taken seriously, and more studies exploring associations of health culture and WHP performance with employees' health are needed.

Significance In the first round of mayoral, municipal and regional elections on May 16, voters in Croatia’s larger cities and urban centres tilted towards challengers. This year’s local polls present a much better chance of political renewal than several recent national votes. Zagreb, Split, Rijeka and Osijek are electing new mayors, as incumbents are not standing for re-election. Impacts Mozemo!’s programme for Zagreb will focus attention on green energy, digital economy, health, culture and post-earthquake reconstruction. Challenger candidates would cut public-sector jobs to reduce city budgets, but it is unclear whether this will be followed through. A victory for Ivica Puljak in Split could boost centrist politics at national level and start dismantling HDZ dominance in Dalmatia. The election of an independent mayor in Vodnjan backed by local IT giant Infobip is a warning for the Istrian Democratic Assembly party.

Background: and objectives: Covid-19 is a global pandemic that requires a culturally integrated response in all Latin American government systems. In this study, we investigate the multidimensional associations of actions in Latin American indigenous peoples against Covid-19 Methods: We performed a data mining analysis of scientific literature records from 19 academic journals, using the topics Covid-19, mortality, indigenous peoples, and future measures, rights and actions. The literature is analyzed in a multidimensional way, either isolated or combined. It uses switchable statistical methods, the R Studio, worddj, Gephi, and Iramuteq for both textual and multidimensional analysis. Results and Conclusions: In this analysis, the literature is classified into 4 linked groups which are the indigenous people, the rights of territorial protection, the indigenous health culture, the Covid-19 pandemic with its protection efforts. Taking the indigenous peoples as an axis, we observe that the covid pandemic and the protection of their territories do not have the same force in the current context, the indigenous people are more linked to the protection of their territory. Indigenous peoples have a link of cultural strength in traditional health independent of Covid treatment. It should be noted that government agencies are taking measures regarding the covid pandemic with an effort not marked within the health culture of indigenous peoples.

Currently, coronavirus infection is spreading around the world. Public health professionals need to develop new tools to ensure the epidemiological safety of citizens. First of all, it concerns the implementation of public health policy and health culture at the intersectoral level. Big data analytics, smart solutions for COVID-19 vaccination and morbidity monitoring, mobile applications to monitor the movement and contact of individuals, personal smart devices, cyberphysical technologies, and smart city infrastructure help in this regard. Scientific works of researchers are devoted to the impact of the digital economy on the development of society, the application digital communications in the activities of public authorities, the peculiarities of the formation of digital culture, cybersecurity and e-democracy. NGO’s experts offer their projects of digital transformation in the country, including in the field of health care. The issue of electronic tools in the field of public health and related public policy has not yet been addressed in recent scientific publications. The purpose of the article is to find out the current state of digital transformation in public administration and politics of Ukraine and the world, to determine further effective areas of application of IT tools in the field of public health policy. The article examines domestic laws and regulations in the field of e-government. Alternative projects of digital transformation of Ukraine proposed by public organizations are analyzed. It is established that at the national level, the foundations of digital transformation in the field of health care and public health in particular have been formed. The author of the article records a private initiative of professional associations of ICT specialists, the desire and efforts of the third sector in the direction of dynamic development of digitalization of health care. Regions and local communities at the united territorial communities’ level are not sufficiently covered by digital development. The directions of digitalization of public administration and public policy are proposed. Thus, the use of digital and mobile jobs in the public sector and in local governments will bring employees closer to society; will enable them to perform quality service functions, including health care. E-government tools are one of the leading positions in public policy-making. Today, Ukraine has laid the foundations for the digital transformation of public administration and public policy. The necessary legislative and regulatory framework for the development of e-government has been developed, including in terms of morbidity prevention, monitoring and assessment of public health, promotion of healthy lifestyles, anti-epidemiological measures, formation of health culture and development of health-preserving regional and local visions. However, the problem of further development at the regional level of public health remains. There are not enough funds in local budgets and experienced staff. Further research should focus on aspects of human-centred, humanistic public health policy, especially in quarantine.

Abstract Background An indicated prevention strategy (IPS), consisting of a screening questionnaire and early treatment, was found to be effective for the prevention of future long-term sickness absence (LTSA) in two large Dutch RCT’s. This IPS aims to detect employees who have a high risk to become absent, and subsequently offer them early treatment. Despite the overall effectiveness, only a few companies have implemented this strategy so far. This suggests that companies may not be convinced of the (cost) effectiveness of this strategy yet. In companies where IPS has been implemented, screenings uptake and adherence to early treatment appeared to be moderate, indicating that both employees and employers might perceive barriers. Methods The aim of this qualitative study was to explore the expected and perceived facilitators and barriers for the implementation of the IPS. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 9 employers and 11 employees (acquainted and unacquainted with IPS) from large companies. Purposive sampling was used to recruit participants. All interviews were transcribed and analyzed thematically. Results The employers believed they were primarily responsible for psychological and work-related health complaints and SA, while the employees felt responsible for health complaints related to their lifestyle. According to the employees, the responsibility of the employer was solely related to work-related health. This finding exposed a relation with the health culture, which was solely based on creating a safe work environment, omitting psychological health issues. The efficacy of this IPS regarding reducing SA was estimated positive, however, the efficacy regarding LTSA was questioned. Fear of a privacy breach was often mentioned by the respondents as an important barrier. Conclusions This study showed that the health culture within a company may be important for the perceived responsibility towards SA and health. A health culture which primarily focuses on physical complaints may raise barriers for the adoption and implementation of this preventive strategy. Participant’ perceptions of the nature of LTSA and the fact that not all participants were familiar with the exact content and phasing of IPS may have doubted the efficacy regarding LTSA. This study provides important clues for future and improved implementation of IPS.
