Abstract The Hebrew Bible frequently portrays lonely characters and voices, yet a specific study of »loneliness« is not yet available. As a basic semantic and exegetical inquiry, this article surveys the usage of the lexeme בד/בדד and analyses four passages in which the expression »sitting alone« (בדד + ישׁב) appears, namely, Lev 13:46, Jer 15:17, Lam 1:1 and 3:28. Of key interest are the literary environment and discourse structures in which בדד + ישב stands. The characterisation and evaluation of loneliness likewise receive some attention. The study concludes with a synthesis that highlights connections between loneliness, society, God, and death.

At the time of the reconfiguration of the literary environment in modern times, the analysis of the narrative that is constructed in interviews given by the authors about the publication of the book acquires special significance. The author takes the position of an expert on his own creativity, folding information down to formulas that satisfy different types of readership. The author produces a narrative that is not artistic, but has many properties of this type of narrative in connection with the specifics of the psychology of creativity. The narrative of a writer placed in a situation of publicly speaking about himself will obey the laws of representing “history of himself” as the hero of a “great story of creativity”, culturally and nationally determined. Social conventions on the writer's mission create a narrative framework for self-interpretation. The scheme of organization of human and literary experience determines the ethical and aesthetic parameters of the “narrative about the author”. The article shows how in an interview with the writer A. Ivanov (2003-2006) the metatext about the author's mission was formed. The recurrence of the narrative makes it possible to single out three vectors of the writer's self-identification: the boundaries of the artistic method, the archetypal plot of creativity, the legitimacy of the province in the production of national meanings.

The life and work of the creators are naturally studied in connection with the historical and literary environment of the period in which he lived. In some places, it is expedient to compare the artists with their contemporaries, and in some places, the attitude of their fans, and vice versa, to give information about their opponents. In order to inform students about the biography of the artist, the teacher will need to study the most important information, use the necessary methodological manuals and literature in order to make the lesson meaningful and interesting. In particular, the use of memoirs written by his contemporaries, architectural works, or memoirs and letters written by the artist about himself, also provides a meaningful lesson. Either the works created by the artist also in some sense complement the information about his personality. Key words and phrases: Alisher Navoi's way of life. Hasbu hol. Architectural work. One of the great bilingual poets, Haji Muhammad Shahdi, wrote in two languages in the literary environment of Kokand in the early 18th century. In addition to being the owner of the devon in the Persian-Tajik language, he wrote a number of ghazals rich in mystical meanings in the Uzbek language. The article describes the poet's attitude to the work of representatives of Uz-bek classical literature, his creative approach and the epistemological analysis of his poems. In addition, the specific style and meaning of the poet's poems were studied in comparison with the verses of the Qur'an. Samples of meaningful ghazals such as munojotnoma (the servant's appeal to God expressing his repentance and supplication), hamdnoma (a letter of praise and thanks), nat-tnoma were given and briefly commented on. Along with the personal copies of the poet's divan (collection of works), the Uzbek ghazals in the manuscript fund No1275 of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan have been largely studied by comparative source studies. The spiritual connection between Mawlana Lutfi and Shahdi's poems was explained on the example of some of his poems.
