Indonesia is one of the countries that has the third-largest number of volcanoes in the world. Several volcanoes are still active today. This places Indonesia prone to disasters from the volcano. One of the volcanic activities is characterized by the release of poisonous gases such as CO2. At a certain threshold, this poisonous gas can kill living things. This research has designed a gas-producing engine as a replica of volcanic gas. This machine is very supportive of the development of volcanic gas research on a laboratory scale because it has the advantage of being lighter, simpler construction, cheaper and portable machine construction process. The gas produced by the machine is tested using the Dragger X-am 7000. , CO2, H2S, SO2, and CO. The results were obtained for 60 seconds of starting the engine, namely CH4 2.0% LEL, CO2 1.6% Vol, H2S 4.3 ppm, SO2 1.0 ppm, and CO 271 ppm.

With the improvement of China’s military strength, military armoured vehicles are very effective in dealing with various harsh environments. The poisonous gas environment is very serious against the body of the military armoured vehicle. For this reason, the damage-resistant material for the car needs to be developed, and the corrosion resistance of the material is analysed. Metal and polymer damage resistant materials are selected as research objects. In the three environments of alkaline poison gas, industrial poison gas and acid gas, the outdoor exposure test is carried out, and the indoor accelerated test under the combined environmental factors is implemented to obtain the mechanism of corrosion and aging behaviour of the typical material of the vehicle. Experiments show that the damage resistant material can effectively enhances the corrosion resistance of the car body in a poisonous gas environment.

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> This article aims to present that sorcery and witchcraft<br />is still widely practiced in Flores. It is one of the main thorny<br />sources of social conflicts in almost every village. There have<br />been a hot-witch hunts at many regions of the islands. Numerous<br />witches or sorcerers caught red-handed practicing it were tried<br />according customary laws of the villagers and then killed publicly.<br />This article also presents that a number of paranormals can prove<br />the existence of the sorcery practices. The mediums used by the<br />perpetrators can be detected. These mediums were claimed to<br />emit a kind of toxic gas which is thought to cause the victim to<br />get sick and die. This poisonous gas will, however, disappear only<br />if it is sprinckled by the sacramental holy water and its victim will<br />slowely recover.</p><p><br /><strong>Keywords:</strong> black magic, sorcery, witchcraft, paranormal, divine<br />power, holy water.</p>
