During labor, women experience many reproductive changes, one of which is uterine involution. If the uterine involution is late to return to normal, it will cause subinvolution, puerperal gymnastic techniques and kegel exercises are the easiest techniques to use and are very effective. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of puerperal gymnastic and kegel exercises on uterine involution in postpartum mothers day 1-3 at BPM Hj. Nengah Mardani Tenggarang Bondowoso. This type of research uses a pre-experimental research methodology using a two-group interpretation-posttest design, with a sample of 30 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used total sampling. Data analysis used paired sample t test and independent t test. The independent t test results showed that there was no significant difference between puerperal gymnastic and kegel exercises in overcoming uterine involution in postpartum mothers with a p value of 0.039 (p value> α 0.05). Of the two techniques, Kegel exercises were more effective in reducing involution. uterus with a mean difference of 6.7333> than the mean puerperal gymnastic of 5.8000.

Introduction: Urinary incontinence is a comorbid condition that often occurs in post TURP clients. Low urinary incontinence scores were found in post TURP clients who did Kegel exercises. The purpose of this study was to explain the effect of Kegel exercise on urinary incontinence, and quality of life in post- TURP clients. Methods: The study design was a true experiment pre-post test control group design. The sample size was 32 people who were selected by systematic random sampling, consisting of 16 people in the control group and 16 people in the group treatment. The independent variable in this study was Kegel exercise and the dependent variable was quality of life. Data were collected using a quality of life questionnaire with WHOQOL-BREF. Inferential analysis used statistical t-test (Independent t-Test and Paired t-Test), MANOVA with a significance level of α < 0.05. Results: The results showed that: Kegel exercises improve quality of life scores of the significance level p = 0.045. Conclusion: Kegel exercise can build pubococcygeus muscle mass, improve blood circulation, and improve the bulbocavernosus and ischiocavernosus muscles, thereby reducing urinary incontinence, and quality of life for post TURP clients in a wider population by increasing the reach of the study population and increasing monitoring of client exercise

Homological analysis has played a part in rhetorical criticism to uncover unexpected common forms that connect otherwise disparate groups and contexts. This article investigates how to use homologies as discursive prototypes when designing compelling forms and developing design solutions to complex problems in a rhetorical vein. Two different cases are presented for illustration that share a focus on Kegel exercises. One is an activist campaign, a fictitious party established during the Danish national election in 2019 to counter the far-right party Stram Kurs (Hard Line) by way of humor and coordinated Kegel exercises; the other a current co-creation process in which designers and groups of new mothers explore rhetorical homologies that might motivate Kegel exercises in relation to pregnancy. These two form-oriented design processes are analyzed to discover how rhetorical homological thinking might support the creative development as well as the critical evaluation of compelling forms before they are circulated to propose surprising solutions to large and small problems in society. Keywords populism, Ernesto Laclau, antagonism, empty signifier, chains of equivalence, affect, political rhetoric

Urine incontinence is the loss of bladder control, or leaking urine. The current study aimed at providing a physiotherapy intervention such as adding neuromuscular taping to Kegel exercises for increasing the pelvic floor muscles. The study was conducted at the Wredha Khusnul Khotimah house in Pekanbaru. The study is an experimental research with a randomized pre- and post-test group design, and made a comparison between the two groups. The study compared the RUIS (Revised Urinary Incontinence Scale) scale value before and after the intervention. The study sample comprised of 20 middle-aged people with urine incontinence condition who were recommended neuromuscular taping in addition to their Kegel exercises for six weeks. Mann Whitney test found p-value < 0.05, so it could be concluded that there was a difference between the RUIS value before and after the intervention in both groups. The addition of neuromuscular taping to Kegel exercises is more effective than Kegel exercise alone for urine incontinence condition in middle-aged individuals. Keywords: neuromuscular taping, elderly, urine incontinence
