Security and Authentication through Text Encryption and Decryption based on Substitution Method

In order to maintain security, privacy and integrity of important information or data is a great challenge in today’s world. Cryptography is a technique to prevent important data from hackers and intruder by converting important information in encrypted text by using an encryption algorithm. This paper is a review of various symmetric and asymmetric cryptography techniques. In this paper some gaps have been identified after reviewing some algorithms like they don’t work for case sensitive data but merely works for uppercase alphabets, they don’t encrypt numerically, spaces and they don’t run on the special symbol. In our proposed solution an effort to expand the original 5X5 character set of the Play Fair algorithm will be done so as to include lower case alphabets(a-z), some symbols, numeric(0-9) and a special character ‘\0’ for space. So, a new algorithm will encrypt lowercase, numeric, symbols as well as spaces.

An Improved Version of Playfair Technique

Encryption which is defined as a process which converts plain text into a coded form i.e. which is in an unreadable form, so that no one can extract it or read it. It is very important to keep our data safe. There are a lot of techniques which are used for this purpose. Playfair technique is one of them. Playfair technique is used for the encryption of data. Playfair technique allows the existence of alphabets (upper case and lower case both), integer value and special symbol. In many algorithms only alphabets is used, most of the algorithm used alphabets as well as integer value and so on. Playfair techniques consider the plain text as single unit and convert the plain text into cipher text. The use of this technique is a challenge to the attack to understand the text and then decrypt it. Some time it may be possible for the attacker to understand the plaintext due to their weak matrix and key. To overcome this problem, this work proposes a technique that enhances the security of play fair technique using rectangular and substitution matrix. This work uses 8*8 matrices that contain alphabets, integers and special symbols. The objective of this work is to provide security for the data that contain alphabets, integer value as well as special symbols during transmission.

Archetypes and design

Identification of basic archetypes and their remote structure in the context of civilization design, industrial and communicative design makes it possible to specify age-long stability of certain patterns and instruments. This contributes to design of effective models and necessary things. Archetypes as constantly recurring patterns of actions reflected in the mind in the form of unconscious schemes, patterns of thinking, behaviour and perception. Archetypes are a level of connection between being and thinking in the process of work, an area of contact of human corporeality and material side of the world. In the context of technical progress, miniaturization of gadgets and integration of functions, archetypal items remain highly-demanded. The clock with a round dial symbolizes the archetype of “eternal return”. Instruments and lever control systems, a lamp with the mechanism of “lever balance”, which simulates levels of human arm freedom, express the archetype of action. A jar made by a master on a potter’s wheel symbolizes a “vessel of life”, embodies the archetype of rotation, “wheel of life”. Symbolic figures of visual communication – circle, spiral, swastika and concentric circles – also present the archetype of rotation. Mandala, a special symbol that can be noticed in the design of visual communications, as well as in city plans in ancient civilizations, expresses the archetype of selfness. The design of civilizations has constants established by the contact of human corporeality and material side of the world. However, most of contemporary things that have a symbolic meaning lack being universal, since they are made within the structure of civilization, beyond incrustation of human corporeality in the world. Acting in the world, a person constantly repeats life patterns; this archetype of “eternal return” remains a basic attitude of the design.

Beauty as the Symbol of Morality: A Twofold Duty in Kant’s Theory of Taste

In the third Critique, Kant claims that beauty is the symbol of morality and that the consideration of this relation is a duty. This paper declares Kant’s argument to be twofold: firstly, experience of beauty strengthens our moral feeling. Secondly, in judging the beautiful, we assume some indeterminate purpose underlying nature, based on which we can conceive of nature as cooperative with our practical pursuit. Hence, for the sake of moral cultivation and moral motivation, it is our duty to regard beauty as the special symbol of morality.

Aesthetics and functions of craft art in public art space

<p>The problem in this research is about how to assess the aesthetics and functions of craft art in Indonesian city public space compare to other cities in other countries. It is also about how these craft arts can be used to improve the aesthetics and strength a city’s identity. Approaches used in this research are aesthetic theory and sociology of art. Aesthetic theory is used to assess the craft art textually or intra aesthetics. Sociology of art theory is used to see how craft art role can fulfil its function as a medium for craftsperson to participate in creating an art work that is useful to the society, so the existence of craft art in public space can give positive impacts towards the urban society. Results of this research is a positive impact of the craft art existence in some Indonesian public places where craft art becomes a city icon or identity with a special symbol attached to it; as a sign of historical or contemporary works. It also creates the aesthetics of a city design to be more humanist and healthy for all citizens.</p>

Dangdut Rhythmic Pattern Adaptation on Percussion Ensamble. This article discuss the adaptation processof “Dangdut” rhythmic pattern and its tone qualities that were implemented in to the percussion ensemble. Earlierstudies showed that bath elements can pessibly be tone. It means that the differences between characteristic musicbasically can be used as a new musical idea to produce a new genre of music. This procedure began with theimplementation of new special symbol to be fi tted in to the western notation; it follows by the selection of “Dangdut”rhythmic pattern and to be implemented in to the percussion ensemble instruments such as timpani, bongo, hi-hat,roto-toms and tambourine. The result was a new color of musical genre that gives a new propective and possibilityin the world of music composition.

Research on the Designing of Sustainable Elevation Modification of Building Alongside Street in the Warm-House Project — Based on the Example of Elevation Modification of Buildings Alongside Ziyou Street of Changchun City

”Industrial elements” is a kind of special symbol related to the manufacturing production within industrial buildings. This paper will pick up the “industrial elements” as the starting point to analyze the application of it in the transformation and reuse for the old industrial buildings, thus to analyze fatherly the value and significance of the “industrial elements” in the old industrial building transformation and reuse. Based on the activities of plant mapping, shooting on site, field visit and referring to the factory history to Changchun tractor plant and shaft plant (hereinafter referred to as long drag and shaft plant), obtained amount of valuable data, and put forward targeted transformation proposal with practical significance and the trend of reuse, introduced the design methodology in detail regarding the "industrial elements" in the transformation and reuse of old buildings for long drag and shaft plant, then come up with the creative rebuilding solution.
