The study aimed to determine the breaking strength and elongation of polyamide monofilament 0.44 mm in dry condition after treating with open and close storage. This study was an experimental study that refers to SNI ISO 1805: 2010 method. Data collection was done in the dry condition with two yarn samples from different treatments and one sample as a control. Each treatment was done 10 times of repetition. The test material was collected in one mesh. Then the locking distance was adjusted with the mesh size. The breaking strength and elongation score were tested using an autograph. The study found the breaking strength on polyamide nets stored closely was higher than open storage samples. On the other, the elongation value on monofilament polyamide nets stored closely was lower than open storage samples. There was an effect on different storage methods against polyamide breaking strength (sig 0.00), which was lower than α (0.05). Different storage methods also affected the elongation score of polyamides (sig 0.00) < α (0.05). In conclusion, there was an effect on different storage methods, open or close storage, against breaking and elongation strength of polyamide monofilament 0.4 mm.

In the article, emphasis made on determining the start operation time of catalytic converter in the open storage car conditions. In this regard, experiments made on author’s experimental setup, quantity of which provides a confidence probability 0,95. Results of experiments allow us to determine the dependences of the warm-up time changes of catalytic converters when the ambient temperature changes from +1°С to -30°С. The compliance with current regulatory requirements for content of CO and CH in engine exhaust provided.

The concept of “Open storage of pottery and construction materials collection of the State research institute and Museum of architecture named after A.V. Shchusev” adopted for implementation is considered in the article. A survey of collection items (collection contain more than 4000 items that allow to reflect diversity of construction materials used by master builders of ancient Rus’ and prior to the early 21st century. Having performed analysis of the Russian and foreign experience, the author argues that the selected form of exposition provides the access and maximum contact authentic items that the major part of them has not been displayed earlier. This concept is easily combined with the space of museum dedicated to architecture. It is well-known that the number of items in museum collections by far exceeds possibility to exhibit them in museum. Hence the principal reproach addressed to museum community: the greater part of any collection that are preserved in museum vaults are inaccessible to public. The main reason for that is the shortage of exposition areas. This shortage exists nearly at every Russian museum. With increasing frequency museums use for performance of their main function (storage and provision of social-cultural information not only exposition areas but also vaults in form of open storage.

Starting in 2017, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment began to implement a pollution permit system nationwide, in which environmental protection authorities issue permits to enterprises and institutions and supervise them in accordance with the permits. The accounting results of pollutant emissions are an important basis for the issuance of emission permits. At present, the air pollutant accounting methods for emissions from fixed emission facilities are mature and reliable, while there is no mature calculation method for coal dust emission in open storage yard. In this paper, based on the data of area, volume and coal nature of open storage yard in the coal port area of Huanghua Port, the author calculated the strong dust source under different wind speed by using the calculation formula of bulk dust amount in large ports, so as to provide technical support for the forecast study of atmospheric environmental impact in the coal port area of Huanghua Port and the calculation of total atmospheric particulate emission by the environmental management department.

For spring plantings, conifer seedlings are usually packed in closed cardboard boxes and freezer stored over winter. Additionally, seedlings are increasingly being stored in cardboard boxes in spring, summer, and autumn plantings in Finland. The aim of this study was to determine the maximum safe duration for the field storage of Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) and Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) container seedlings in closed cardboard boxes for different planting times (dates) in Nordic boreal conditions. In the first experiment, Norway spruce seedlings (85-cm3 peat plugs) were packed in cardboard boxes in August, September, or October, and, in the second experiment, in the middle of May. In the third Scots pine experiment, mini seedlings (30-cm3 peat plugs) were packed in May. In each experiment, the seedlings were stored in closed cardboard boxes in a nursery for one, three, seven, 14, and 21 days. The control seedlings were stored in open storage in the nursery. After storage, the seedlings were planted in a field. In all of the experiments, increased closed-box storage reduced the maximum photochemical yield of photosystem II (Fv/Fm) in the needles, and reduced root growth after planting. The frost hardiness was weakened in the Norway spruce seedlings that were stored in closed boxes for 21 days in August and October. In the spring experiments, prolonged storage increased the mortality of seedlings. Mortality rates were high in the autumn experiment due to the exceptionally warm and dry weather. Our conclusions, being based on the short term effects of field storage, are that conifer seedlings can be stored in closed boxes for only three days in August and about a week in September, October, and spring.

This article discusses the curatorial strategy of open storage and its assumed potential to decolonize knowledge production in ethnographic museums. Showing masses of stored objects supposedly free from any institutional interpretation is thought to allow for shifting the authority over meaning-making from the museum to the public. Findings from public storeroom visits that were conducted in connection with a participatory exhibition project in an ethnographic museum call these assumptions into question.
