The FDS (Frequency-domain Dielectric Spectroscopy) of oil-immersed insulation paper, and semi-conductive paper with different moisture content, has been measured. The data measured are fitted as a function of frequency and moisture content using the amendatory Cole–Cole model utilizing the least square technique. Then, the broadband MTL model of the insulation system of IOCT (Inverted-type Oil-immersed Current Transformer) is established considering the capacitive electrodes thin layer, and the distribution parameters consider the moisture and frequency dependence. A new method for VFTO (Very Fast Transient Overvoltage) distribution calculation of insulation systems is proposed.

In this paper, the Probabilistic Mapped Mean-Shift Algorithm is proposed to detect anomalous data in public datasets and local hospital children’s wellness clinic databases. The proposed framework consists of two main parts. First, the Probabilistic Mapping step consists of k-NN instance acquisition, data distribution calculation, and data point reposition.  Truncated Gaussian Distribution (TGD) was used for controlling the boundary of the mapped points. Second, the Outlier Detection step consists of outlier score calculation and outlier selection.  Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm outperformed the existing algorithms with real-world benchmark datasets and  a Children’s Wellness Clinic dataset (CWD). Outlier detection accuracy obtained from the proposed algorithm based on Wellness, Stamps, Arrhythmia, Pima, and Parkinson datasets was 93%, 94%, 80%, 75%, and 72%, respectively.

Abstract. Equations for the distribution of age versus length of partially annealed horizontal fission tracks in apatite is presented. Probabilistic least–squares inversion corrects natural track length histograms for observational biases considering the variance of data, modelization, and prior information. The corrected histogram is validated by its variance–covariance matrix. It is considered that horizontal track data can be with or without measurements of angles to the c–axis. In the last case, 3D–histograms are introduced as an alternative to histograms of c–axis projected track lengths. Thermal history modeling of samples is not necessary for track age distribution calculation. In an example the age equations are applied to apatites with pre–depositional (inherited) tracks, to extract the post–depositional track length histogram. Fission tracks generated before deposition in detrital apatite crystals are mixed with post–depositional tracks. This complicates the calculation of the post– sedimentary thermal history as the grains have experienced different thermal histories until deposition. Thereafter the grains share a common thermal history. The extracted post–depositional histogram without inherited tracks may be used for thermal history calculation.

Density functional theory (DFT) calculation and Raman scattering experiment have been applied to investigate an important essential fatty acid, α-linolenic acid (ALA). The DFT calculation was performed with geometry optimization and harmonic vibration using B3LYP functions with polarized 6-311+G(d,p) basis. The DFT calculated vibrational modes of ALA molecule are in excellent agreement with the Raman experimental results. A complete vibrational modes assignment is provided on the basis of potential energy distribution calculation. In addition, the DFT calculation and Raman experiment indicate that the relative intensity ratio of two characteristic modes at 1660 cm-1 and 1440 cm-1 is correlated with the number of C=C double bond in the acid chain, which may provide a simple and convenient method to differentiate ALA with other types of unsaturated fatty acids. Furthermore, the Mulliken atomic charge distribution and frontier molecular orbitals of ALA molecule were calculated.

In this paper, Weibull and Poisson distribution calculation are carried out with new data to conclude a conclusion are they suitable for circuit breakers remaining useful life assessment (RUL). Old data are covering a 10 years period consisting of measured voltage drop on CB contacts and number of tripped short circuit faults. In this paper, new data, from the last 3 years, would be used to make a comparison with old data and make conclusions have been probability distributions correctly chosen.
