On October 2020, Real Betis Balompié, a football club located in Seville (Andalucia), presented the Forever Green programme, a global programme of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that, through the club’s foundation, enables the entity to position itself in areas of sustainable development and environment at a global level. This project was preceded by a sponsorship initiative with the Green Earth project, as well as having been the first football club to sign the United Nations’ Climate Change Now initiative. This article aims to explain the rebranding process of a sports brand based on values linked to sustainability and to assess the impact this rebranding process has had on the fans’ perception of the brand. The methodology used was a combination of in-depth interviews with the executives charged with leading the rebranding process and a convenience survey given to 100 fans to assess the impact of the initiative. The results show that both the entity and the fans agree on a holistic vision of what the CSR is, altruistic in nature, and that its initiatives should be applicable across the entire organisation. However, although the club’s link with values of the environment and sustainability is highly valued by the fans, they still do not feel directly called upon to take part in actions that the club organises.

As a way of replacing traditional energy sources and enhancing human development, renewable energy is an essential demand in our daily routine worldwide because it can minimize greenhouse gas emissions and diminish global warming leading to economic growth. Therefore, Myanmar possesses attractive natural resources that will exploit renewable energy sources for many applications. This review paper will contribute to sustainable power sector development currently in Myanmar with these considerations in mind. Based on the renewable energy sources in Myanmar, it is notable that hydropower stands a major role in electrification, biomass allows for cooking and heating in rural areas and then solar energy potential is significantly higher than wind energy. Besides, Myanmar welcomed especially wind and solar projects to fulfill the ultimate goal of achieving green earth power in the long term. Moreover, Myanmar’s renewable energy; hydropower and solar, mentioned 3302 MW in May 2020.

A 15th century St Theodoros icon of outstanding quality is on display at the Zakynthos Ecclesiastical Art Museum. On the basis of certain stylistic characteristics, this icon has been attributed to the legendary Cretan painter Angelos Akotantos. In order to explore the latter attribution, the icon was subjected to examination via multispectral imaging, while microsamples were investigated through an optical microscope (OM), a scanning electron microscope coupled with an energy dispersive analyzer (SEM-EDX), μ-Raman and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The data were evaluated in the light of the findings of recent analytical studies conducted on several genuine Angelos icons. Identified materials include gypsum, gold leaf, bole, natural ultramarine, lead white, charcoal, green earth, red lake, minium, cinnabar, and red and yellow ochres. The identified materials resemble those employed by Angelos, while the identification of ultramarine is of particular significance, as this extremely expensive and rather rare pigment was very often used by the particular painter. Moreover, multispectral imaging reveals notable painting technique similarities between the icon in consideration and known Angelos icons, while cross sections of corresponding samples exhibit almost identical structures. Overall, the present work considerably strengthens the suggestion that the St Theodoros icon in consideration was painted by Angelos and also widens our knowledge regarding the late Byzantine painting.

This work concerns the characterisation of a set of wall painting and stucco fragments collected during a rescue excavation carried out in 2013 by the Soprintendenza Archeologica in the Monte d’Oro area (Rome). Due to the contextless archaeological situation, analyses were performed to obtain more information about the collected materials. A multi-analytical approach has been applied including spectroscopic (FTIR, Raman and visible reflectance analyses) and elemental analysis (SEM-EDS) techniques. The chromatic palette has been in this way disclosed evidencing the use of pigments such as cinnabar, Egyptian blue, red and yellow ochre and green earth, but also the simultaneous use of them. The presence of a decoration achieved by using a gold leaf has been highlighted also, indicating the preciousness of the decorations. The convenience and advantages linked to the use of portable instrumentation have been also evidenced.

The chapter opens with the observation that there seem to be far fewer climate eutopias than climate dystopias, but adds that there is a case to be made that these are likely to become more culturally significant as the climate crisis develops. It then proceeds to a discussion, by turn, of base reality texts and critical eutopias. The texts analysed include Michael Crichton’s State of Fear, Barbara Kingsolver’s Flight Behavior, Kim Stanley Robinson’s Green Earth, Umoya Lister’s Planetquake, Robinson’s New York 2140; Dirk C. Fleck’s MAEVA! trilogy and Margaret Atwood’s MaddAddam. The chapter proceeds to argue that, by comparison with William Morris’s News from Nowhere, there is no real intratextual plausibility to the mechanisms by which eutopia is achieved within these novels. The chapter concludes with a survey of the study’s findings on cli-fi narratives.
