Background The planning, implementation, finalisation and reporting of high-quality research depends on the knowledge, skills and competencies of the many individuals who make carrying out the research possible. Aims This study aims to develop a valid and reliable scale in order to identify the scientific research competencies of nursing professionals at undergraduate and graduate level. Methods This methodological study was carried out on 937 nursing personnel, 422 (45%) of whom were academic members and 515 (55%) were undergraduate students. The Anxiety Scale Towards Research and the Attitude Scale Towards Scientific Research were used for the criterion validity. Results The Scientific Research Competency Scale comprises 57 items in four sub-dimensions named as ‘technical skills’, ‘attitude and behaviours’, ‘estimation capacity’ and ‘foreign language skill’. The Cronbach alpha, Guttmann split-half and Spearman Brown reliability coefficients for the scientific research competency scale were, respectively, 0.98, 0.96 and 0.96. The sensitivity and specificity value, by which the research competency of individuals could be determined with minimum error, was indicated to be at 190 breakpoints of the scientific research competency scale. Conclusions As a result, the scientific research competency scale developed is a valid and reliable tool that can be used to determine the scientific research competencies of nursing professionals.

I did my internship in Petra Language Center. The Products of PLC are English Language Center, Mandarin Language Center, Japanese Language Center, French Language Center, and Dutch Language Center. For English Language Center, it has other courses and it will be explained in Creative Thesis. The target market is children, teenagers, and general adults who want to enhance their foreign language skill. The competitors of PLC are Ubaya Language Center and Unesa Language Center.  The main problem of PLC is that the customers do not know where to go to get the information. The solution to this problem is to make a website. Website is a right tool for PLC because it is accessible and it provides the specific information about courses in PLC. The benefits of PLC website are to increase sales and profit, to expand its market, and to build the relationship with the customers. Keywords : promotional tool, website, unique selling point

With disabled students, teachers have less opportunity to receive in their classes those who have sensory deficits, due to their rarity and few formations exist. But teachers are supposed to be able to teach all students, in their diversity, whether it is related to their culture or to the consequences of physical, sensory or mental disorders. In this population, the visually impaired students are the least numerous and know a particular situation, even paradoxical. Unlike other students with disabilities, they have been integrated for a long time, at the end of high school and at university, and for the blind often schooling in mainstream came after the specialized establishment from which they left by mastering the techniques of compensation. The lack of specialized staff dedicated to the visually impaired, in particular the teachers, is often a brake on inclusion and can bring a return of the students in non-inclusive device, and, in times of budgetary constraints, considerations only on the number of students are likely to forget that they cannot succeed without mastering techniques that can be taught. After having recalled the constraints which arise to study this population, we present the specificity of its needs. We link these needs to the foreign language skill that these students must acquire in order to become independent in their learning for global context, especially in South East Asia countries.

Foreign language skill presents a language variety called code-mixing and code-switching. The purpose of this study was to get some information to identify the types of code mixing and code switching frequently used by Indonesian celebrities. The study was divided into two groups. Group I was inclusive of the celebrities with native speakers parents and Group II comprised celebrities capable of speaking two or more languages. The qualitative and quantitative methods were used to analyze the code mixing and code switching with different frequency. It can be concluded that Group II use code-mixing and code-switching with a different frequency and speak foreign language more active.
