Albanian plural morphology is analysed in the paper as split between the Num and n heads. This is shown to result diachronically from a plural-to-singular reanalysis cycle, where splitting the number morphology between Num and n has worked as a competition resolution strategy in Albanian. The system is still in transition, however, and represents a long-lasting state of a dynamic equilibrium.

Parts obsolescence has an important impact on the product life cycle, the manufacturing system and the environment leading to operational, logistical, reliability and cost implications. While current resolution models are cost-oriented, multiple studies have revealed that technological obsolescence is strongly involved in the electronic waste problem. In this study, based on academic literature and expert opinions, a sustainable decision framework for obsolescence resolution strategy (ORS) selection is proposed. It consists of economic, environmental, social and technological dimensions, integrating a total of fifteen criteria. Multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) methods are suggested to select the most sustainable solution. A case study was performed where the criteria weights and the alternatives performance were judged by five experts from the fields of environment, economy, human resources and obsolescence and operations management. Results from different MCDM methods were compared to the actual decision to evaluate their effectiveness. Using the suggested framework improved the decision process as integrating sustainability had a drastic impact on the selected strategy and consequently on the company’s performance. In addition to its managerial insights, this paper provides a new research perspective to sustainable and robust obsolescence management to effectively handle the increasing number and severity of obsolete components.

In the context of airspace fusion, in order to improve the safety performance of UAV and prevent the occurrence of air collision accidents, an ant colony algorithm model for UAV sense and avoid based on ADS-B monitoring technology is proposed. The model mainly consists of two parts: the deterministic conflict detection model makes the full use of ADS-B information to calculate the geometric distance from the horizontal and vertical planes to identify the conflict target, and the conflict resolution model is based on the ant colony algorithm which introduces the comprehensive heuristic function and sorting mechanism to plan the route again for achieving the collision avoidance. The simulation results show that the conflict detection model can effectively identify the possible threat targets, and the conflict resolution model is not only suitable for the typical two aircraft conflict scenarios, but also can provide a better resolution strategy for the complex multiple aircraft conflict scenarios.

The current study aims to introduce online social media to support seaweed farmers and as a conflict resolution strategy. Seaweed farmers have the power to develop seaweed because the product has a positive impact on the socioeconomic. This study observes the roles of online media in supporting seaweed production. This research found that an increase in seaweed production can improve the economic conditions of the community. The weaknesses of seaweed farmers are their low capital, low skills, low level of education, and low support for infrastructure. One skill required is the mastery of technology, especially online media. Online media are one of the vital tools that can help seaweed business processes. Therefore, seaweed farmers should know how to use online social media. The potential cultivation of seaweed is very much enhanced by a pattern of cooperation between seaweed farmers, other farmers, and other collaborations. The threats faced by the research area include the diminishing desire of the younger generation to cultivate seaweed, the very low skill related to using online social media, and extreme weather as an annual problem. We find that the role of online media is crucial to minimizing the risk factors for conflict.

Conflicts in oil palm plantation companies cannot be separated from land problems with the community. This conflict occurred due to the existence of community land within the PT. Surya Bratasena Plantation due to an error in the previous shaving. The purpose of this research is to see and understand how the company strategy in its efforts to settle land with the community and to find out what factors are the obstacles to the implementation of the Land Conflict Resolution Strategy made by PT. Surya Bratasena Plantation. The theory used in this research is conflict resolution theory with three indicators, namely negotiation, mediation and arbitration. To answer this research problem, researchers used qualitative methods using data collection techniques such as interviews and documentation, then analyzed and looked for conclusions about these problems. The results of this study indicate that the strategy that has been made by PT. Surya Bratasena Plantation and offered to the community can solve the problem without involving a third party in its resolution. The inhibiting factor in carrying out this strategy is the presence of outsiders as provocateurs to make people not want to make peace.

AbstractAsymmetric synthesis of mechanically planar chiral rotaxanes and topologically chiral catenanes has been a long-standing challenge in organic synthesis. Recently, an excellent strategy was developed based on diastereomeric synthesis of rotaxanes and catenanes with mechanical chirality followed by removal of the chiral auxiliary. On the other hand, its enantioselective approach has been quite limited. Here, we report enantioselective preparation of mechanically planar chiral rotaxanes by kinetic resolution of the racemates via remote asymmetric acylation of a hydroxy group in the axis component, which provides an unreacted enantiomer in up to >99.9% ee in 29% yield (the theoretical maximum yield of kinetic resolution of racemate is 50%). While the rotaxane molecules are expected to have conformational complexity, our original catalysts enabled to discriminate the mechanical chirality of the rotaxanes efficiently with the selectivity factors in up to 16.
