Twinning behaviors in grains during cold rolling have been systematically studied in preparing ultra-thin grain-oriented silicon steel (UTGO) using a commercial glassless grain-oriented silicon steel as raw material. It is found that the twinning system with the maximum Schmid factor and shear mechanical work would be activated. The area fraction of twins increased with the cold rolling reduction. The orientations of twins mainly appeared to be α-fiber (<110>//RD), most of which were {001}<110> orientation. Analysis via combining deformation orientation simulation and twinning orientation calculation suggested that {001}<110> oriented twinning occurred at 40–50% rolling reduction. The simulation also confirmed more {100} <011> oriented twins would be produced in the cold rolling process and their orientation also showed less deviation from ideal {001}<110> orientation when a raw material with a higher content of exact Goss oriented grains was used.

A multi-phase field model describing the anisotropic growth of the {332}<113> twinning system in β-metastable titanium alloys is hereby presented considering the geometrically linear and non-linear frameworks. Phase fields are associated with each twin variant of the {332}<113> system. The lattice transformation describing the twinning systems is incorporated in the model via relevant eigenstrain tensors. We illustrate the capability of our model by investigating the formation of twins networks, within both geometrically linear and non linear frameworks. In particular, it is shown that the predicted microstructures exhibit strong differences, resulting from a difference in the selection of the variant habit planes.

Abstract The attitude control engine used by the launch vehicle is mainly composed of a pressurized gas cylinder, a pressure reducer, a tank, a duct, a pitch extension, a roll extension, a yaw extension, and a sinker extension. In this paper, a long short-term memory network is used to train the telemetry data transmitted from the temperature and pressure sensor points distributed in various positions of the attitude control engine, such that the state of the rocket attitude control engine can be deduced and predicted in real time through the data-driven digital twinning system. It is possible to detect potential data anomalies in advance and locate the faults, so that the control system can change the attitude control strategy in sufficient time to alleviate the fuel loss issue as well as positional deviation caused by minor faults, so as to better ensure the success of the mission.

The cause of death in the world's largest is non-communicable diseases or degenerative diseases. According to WHO (2013), 63% kill 36 million people per year, 80% of these deaths occur in middle and low income countries. From the economic point of view, the danger of this disease is very burdensome to the community because it requires high cost for hospitalization. Herbal Twinning System (Herbal Treatment with Monitoring Analysis System) is an android-based renewable application that is used to facilitate the sufferers of degenerative diseases to get an information about the proper and rational treatment. Health professions in the form of doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and nutritionists act as facilitators to facilitate patients in consultation related to the illness. This application has five main menu that is to health, to consultation, to herbal, to nutrition, and to discussion which contains information related to processing of simple herbal medicine that can be used as a substitute for chemical drugs, tips on healthy lifestyle, and control of patient nutrition. Application design created using android studio, XAMPP SQL, and. notepad, The results of the application include the design of systems that can be applied in mobile phones or tablets.

A crystal plasticity analysis of polycrystalline pure magnesium is conducted to investigate deformation twinning behavior at the crystal grain scale. A dominant factor in the onset of deformation twinning is the resolved shear stress on a twinning system. More than one twin system may simultaneously be activated in a crystal grain, resulting from inhomogeneous stress distribution caused by constraints imposed by neighboring grains. In this study, a pure magnesium polycrystal is modeled using a fine finite element mesh and analyzed using the crystal plasticity model involving deformation twinning. The evolution of deformation twinning at the crystalline scale is numerically investigated, and the present approach demonstrates that two or more twinning systems are be activated in a single crystal grain because of the strong inhomogeneity in the grain.
