Abstract With the establishment of the digital twin stereoscopic warehouse concept, the importance of twin data has become increasingly prominent for digital twin system. Aiming at the problem of low accuracy in obtaining twin data from warehouse stocks, an isolated point cloud filtering algorithm combine with digital signal processing is proposed. The algorithm can retrieve the coordinate value of isolated point in original twin point cloud by constructing a twin point cloud fitting model, thereby filter out the point information of isolated region and obtain the warehousing twin data. The experiment results show that the algorithm can filter all isolated points while keeping the characteristics of original twin point cloud. The method provides accurate twin data support for digital twin stereoscopic warehouse.

This article presents the most valuable and applicable open-source tools and communication technologies that may be employed to create models of production processes by applying the concept of Digital Twins. In recent years, many open-source technologies, including tools and protocols, have been developed to create virtual models of production systems. The authors present the evolution and role of the Digital Twin concept as one of the key technologies for implementing the Industry 4.0 paradigm in automation and control. Based on the presented structured review of valuable open-source software dedicated to various phases and tasks that should be realised while creating the whole Digital Twin system, it was demonstrated that the available solutions cover all aspects. However, the dispersion, specialisation, and lack of integration cause this software to usually not be the first choice to implement DT. Therefore, to successfully create full-fledged models of Digital Twins by proceeding with proposed open-source solutions, it is necessary to make additional efforts due to integration requirements.

Abstract The "Twin" system is an omnichannel communication platform for building voice and chatbots, capable, in particular, of receiving data in one language and transmitting in another. "Twin" can record voice and text, display detailed statistics and analytics for each call or dialog. In this article, using the Twin system, a chatbot was created for the field of cargo transportation, it describes its advantages and disadvantages and the principle of creating of such chatbots.

Abstract Cooperative vehicle-infrastructure is one of the most import developing direction of future intelligent transportation system, while digital twin system can record, reproduce, and even deduce the physical system, which could be helpful for the development of cooperative vehicle-infrastructure. In this study, we proposed a 3D digital twin platform of intelligent transportation system based on road-side sensing, a core component of cooperative vehicle-infrastructure system. This platform consists of real road-side sensing unit,3D virtual environment, and the ROS bridge between them, by receiving the sensing results of physical world in real-time, the virtual world can reproduce the compatible road traffic information, such as the type,3D position and orientation of traffic participants.

Mangrove forests sequester a significant amount of organic matter in their sediment and are recognized as an important carbon storage source (i.e., blue carbon, including in seagrass ecosystems and other coastal wetlands). The methane-producing archaea in anaerobic sediments releases methane, a greenhouse gas species. The contribution to total greenhouse gas emissions from mangrove ecosystems remains controversial. However, the intensity CH4 emissions from anaerobic mangrove sediment is known to be sensitive to environmental changes, and the sediment is exposed to oxygen by methanotrophic (CH4-oxidizing) bacteria as well as to anthropogenic impacts and climate change in mangrove forests. This review discusses the major factors decreasing the effect of mangroves on CH4 emissions from sediment, the significance of ecosystem protection regarding forest biomass and the hydrosphere/soil environment, and how to evaluate emission status geospatially. An innovative “digital-twin” system overcoming the difficulty of field observation is required for suggesting sustainable mitigation in mangrove ecosystems, such as a locally/regionally/globally heterogenous environment with various random factors.

In this paper, the development of virtual emulation modelling is presented on the reconfigurable hot forming process and its further implementation for the associated digital twins. When validating the developed Digital Twin system, it is essentially important to test the digital twin prior to its connection to a real physical asset especially from a safety and efficiency prospective. The development is focused on digital virtual emulation of the reconfigurable hot forming process, which can emulate the physical element as the means of validating the digital twin system with the throughout-digital virtual simulations and underlying results.

There is a need for remote learning and virtual learning applications such as virtual reality (VR) and tablet-based solutions which the current pandemic has demonstrated. Creating complex learning scenarios by developers is highly time-consuming and can take over a year. There is a need to provide a simple method to enable lecturers to create their own content for their laboratory tutorials. Research is currently being undertaken into developing generic models to enable the semi-automatic creation of a virtual learning application. A case study describing the creation of a virtual learning application for an electrical laboratory tutorial is presented.
