Abstract The report of introduced techniques and theoretical, analytical and experimental studies of foreign and our national scientists in recent years are given in this article. it has been established that treatment with a high frequency electromagnetic field achieves a high efficiency in drying the cocoon and killing pupae. The shell of the cocoon does not heat up with this method. This is explained by the fact that the high frequency energy is absorbed mainly in the pupa because of the difference of the dielectric constant, which leads to the heating of the pupa to 90-95 ° C and they die within 30 seconds depending on the power.

Abstract In Western Siberia and the Far North, complications caused by paraffin plugs in wells are not temporary. They are caused by ongoing factors, such as permafrost zones, a sharp temperature drop along the well, the high gas factor and water in the well products. The paper studies the possibility of using a high-frequency electromagnetic field to remove paraffin plugs inside the well. Mathematical modeling of the problem using a system of heat and mass transfer equations and boundary and initial conditions is described. The phase transition (melting of hydratoparaffin) is denoted by Stefan’s condition which is one of the boundary conditions. The problem does not have an analytical solution, so the numerical implementation of the solution is carried out. Graphs of dependences of melting limits on generator power, and distribution of temperature fields in wells are constructed.

Abstract The paper is devoted to development and parameters studying of two-resonator super-high-frequency (SHF) generator based on continuous flow principle of action. It is equipped with two quasi-stationary toroidal resonators; so it allows to separate such processes of cattle colostral milk treatnent as defrosting and heating and thus to ensure both the electromagnetic safety and the high electric field strength. In order to improve efficiency of the cattle colostrum defrosting/heating performed by its exposure to the super-high frequency electromagnetic field, the methodology was developed for the SHF generator designing. It includes, firstly, development & studying of mathematical models based on due consideration of the phase transitions and, secondly, the structural designing of the SHF generator working chamber with examination of its effective operating modes. The mathematical model is proposed of the electromagnetic waves interaction with the raw material (colostral milk) being in different physical states. With aid of the electric field strength control (by the generators power changing) and the gap adjustment in the capacitor part of the resonators (by smooth movement of the common perforated base), it is possible to achieve the equipment capacity up to 170… 200 L/h. The energy expenses are 0.025 (kWh)/kg.

Abstract The study is aimed at the effect substantiation of voluminous heating of the cattle frozen colostrum in the two-resonator installation. The methodology is based on the theory of the electromagnetic field, the laws of thermodynamics and the results of physical modeling. The colostrum dielectric parameters were analyzed in the temperature range from -12 °C to +40 °C. The theoretical studies were carried out for changes finding out in the absorption coefficient of the electromagnetic field and the penetration depth of the electromagnetic waves 12.24 cm long during defrosting/heating of the cow colostrum with the fat content of 6.4%. It is found that the penetration depth of the electromagnetic field into the frozen raw material at negative temperatures range (0.2-1.0 cm) is less than that at the colostrum positive temperatures (1.0-2.17 cm). With such significant difference in the dielectric characteristics of the frozen and thawed colostrum and in their penetration depths of the ultra high frequency electromagnetic field, the rate of their heating is considerably different. The developed continuous-flow ultra high frequency electromagnetic generator contains two voluminous resonators. They provide the colostrum being in different physical states with different doses of the ultra high frequency electromagnetic field exposure.

Abstract A nodal ring semimetal (NRSM) can be driven to a spin-polarized NRSM or a spin-polarized Weyl semimetal (SWSM) by a high-frequency electromagnetic field. We investigate the conditions in realizing these phases and propose a switchable spin-polarized currents generator based on periodically driven NRSMs. Both bulk and surface polarized currents are investigated. The polarization of bulk current is sensitive to the amplitude of the driving field and robust against the direction and polarization of the driving, the opaqueness of the lead-device interface and the misalignment between the nodal ring and the interface, which provides sufficient flexibility in manipulating the devices. Similar switchable polarized surface currents are also expected, which is contributed by the Fermi arc surface state associated with the Weyl semimetal (WSM) phases. The generation of polarized currents and the polarization switching effect offer opportunities to design periodic driving controlled topological spintronics devices based on NRSMs.

Malignant tumors of the colon present a severe medical problem, and only their timely diagnosis can provide adequate therapy. In this work, we developed and tested a screen-ing method of endoscopic analysis of canine colon neoplasms by its luminescent glow stimulated by a high-frequency electromagnetic field. Observations were made on nine dogs with endoscopically detected tumors in the large intestine. Comparative analysis showed that benign tumor and healthy tissue areas glow at the edges in a high-frequency electromagnetic field, while malignant tumors glow over their entire site. The lumines-cence histogram of healthy tissues had a one-humped appearance, while malignant tu-mors demonstrated a double-humped character, and the brightness was higher in magni-tude. Histological analysis data confirmed the luminescence results. Research on dogs can be the basis for developing an endoscopic screening method of malignant tumors of the large intestine in humans.

Introduction: Cardiac pacing is indicated for sick sinus syndrome. It is performed with a pacemaker via electrodes implanted in the heart. This technique has several disadvantages. The search for alternative methods of cardiac pacing is underway. One of them is control of heart rhythm through stimulation of the tragus. Objective: To perform the reflex stimulation of the sinoatrial node and to study the influence of the SS-68 substance on it. Materials and methods: Two electrodes were fixed in the reflexogenic zone of rabbits’ auricles, volleys of electrical impulses from an electrical stimulator were applied to the electrodes, and the synchronization range of volley frequency and cardiac contractions was recorded. This range was re-recorded again after injecting the SS-68 substance (2-phenyl-1-(3-pyrrolidine-1-cyclopropyl)-1H-indole hydrochloride) intravenously at a dose of 50 µg/kg. In other experiments on frogs in a high-frequency electromagnetic field, the process of excitation of the area of the medulla oblongata associated with the heart rhythm was visualized. After the application of SS-68 (50 μM) to the surface of this zone, the process of its excitation was recorded. Results and discussion: Stimulation of the auricular reflexogenic zone of rabbits produced a synchronization of volley frequency and heart rate in the range from 173.5 ± 2.0 to 214.0 ± 1.8 per minute. SS-68 extended this range from 168.2 ± 1.9 to 219.4 ± 1.5 per minute. In the frog’s medulla oblongata, an area synchronous to the heart rhythm glowed in the high-frequency electromagnetic field. SS-68 increased the area of glow by 131.0%. Conclusion: The substance SS-68 increases the frequency range of heart rhythm control by activating reflex stimulation of the sinoatrial node. The main point of application of SS-68 is the medulla oblongata. Glow in the high-frequency electromagnetic field reflects the process of neuron excitation. The increase in the glow zone under the influence of SS-68 indicates synchronously excited neurons, which leads to the assimilation of the central heart rhythm generation by the sinoatrial node.
