LIBRARY BOOK EXCHANGE: HISTORY AND CURRENT STATE

Objective. The purpose of the article is to highlight book exchange as an important source of book acquisition process in the libraries of Katerinoslav - Dnipropetrovsk. The object is libraries of different subordination as a system of collection-forming documents. Methods. Analytical-synthetic, system-structural, comparative and statistical methods are used during the research in accordance with the task. Results. The author revealed the peculiarities of book exchange process in the libraries of educational institutions, scientific societies of Katerynoslavshchyna. The exchange of publications with Kyiv, Galician and Lviv institutions is proved to be useful and important. The author retraced process of cooperation of city public libraries on local literature acquisition. Libraries and reading rooms of higher, secondary and lower agricultural educational institutions received professional publications of Katerinoslav societies free of charge. The article gives a picture of the current state of document exchange in the libraries of Dnipropetrovsk region. The constant source of library acquisition is territorial and domestic professional book exchange. Conclusions. Book exchange is an important component of the process of acquisition of high quality stock in Ukrainian libraries. This prprocess was actively carried out by Katerinoslav libraries in the 19th - early 20th centuries. Throughout history the book exchange has proven to be a necessary and useful source of acquisition and high quality service in the implementation of complex reader requests. Document exchange in the 21st century in Dnipropetrovsk region is changing its format (transition to e-resources), but remains an important source in the process of creating high quality collections.

BOOK COVER SAMPLES IN THE YUSUF AGA MANUSCRIPT LIBRARY

The need to use “covers” has arisen in order to preserve and protect written works. The protective cover made to keep the leaves of a magazine or book together without falling apart and without breaking their order is called a binding. Books, which are at the forefront of Turkish cultural heritage, have a special place among movable cultural properties. These resources, which form a bridge between the past and the future, are preserved in various museums, libraries and collections in order to carry them to future generations. Yusuf Aga Manuscript Library is one of the places where these resources are preserved. Descriptive method was used in this study. It is aimed to introduce the seven bindings in the Yusuf Ağa Manuscript Library in detail, with the material, construction technique, decoration features, colors used, and then to determine the connections of the book cover with similar examples and to reveal its position in the bookbinding art and its development process scientifically. In addition, information on the qualitative characteristics of the manuscripts in question, such as the scope, the periods they belong to, and the names of the works, has been arranged on the basis of the data in the inventory. Keeping the art of binding alive and establishing a connection between generations is very important in terms of Turkish culture, history, art and decoration. Web design of borrowing books at SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang PasamanBarat Library aims to make it easier for librarians to enter books that were previously done manually, thus saving time. In this application I make it easy for library staff to do computerized input so that it can be efficient and effective. Application of SMAN 1 Valley Melintang Valley Pasaman Barat Library. The library makes it easy for library staff to enter new book data, member data and employee data at SMAN 1 Lembah Valley Pasaman Barat Library. Book data that has been inputted is stored with a MySQLdatabase so that the data is safe.This research helps in establishing a book loan system. The design system in making a book loan application at SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang Pasaman Barat was developed by using some software namely Xampp, Sublime Text, Server which is a combination of Web Server, PHP and MySQL.

The poetry of Narodnik revolutionaries is viewed in the context of interaction between literature and journalism during transition periods. A. Kholikov and V. Khruslova analyse the Poet’s Library book series, whose staff prepared poems of Narodnik revolutionaries for publication, including the anthology The Poetry of the Revolutionary Narodniks [Poeziya revolyutsionnogo narodnichestva] (2019). The article discusses the relevance of the poetry penned by Narodnik revolutionaries as perceived for the Soviet period and the current circumstances, the aesthetic value of their poetic legacy, and the multifaceted relationship of the poems with the Silver Age movement. A review of various methods used by editorial teams calls attention to the problem of cataloging magazine and newspaper material and outlines the prospects of a wider source base for contemporary research.
