In the framework of this contribution, and taking a macro-historic sacred landscapes approach, we established a comparative project analysing in parallel the development of sacred landscapes of two mega-islands, Cyprus and Sardinia, at the transition from the Bronze to the Iron Age. In both Cyprus and Sardinia, the period between the 12th and 8th centuries BC seems to have been a time when re-negotiations of individual, societal, and political identities took place, and this is clearly reflected on the construction of the sacred landscapes of the two islands. We first present our ‘landscape/macro-historic approach’; we then define the chronological horizon and the socio-historical contexts under discussion for each island, exploring at the same time how the hierarchical arrangement of ritual sites appearing at this transitional phase seems to be related with articulated social order or linked with shifting relations of power and cultural influence. Finally, we proceed to a discussion addressing the following three questions: (1) what is the relation between individual insularities and the construction of sacred landscapes on these two mega-islands?; (2) how can a ‘landscape/macro-historic approach’ assist us in better formulating microscopic approaches on both islands at the transition from the Bronze to the Iron Age?; and (3) is a comparative approach viable?

This paper explores the meaning of the Italian anti-establishment voting and whether the Five Star Movement’s anti-establishment label is appropriate. More specifically the investigation addresses the policies of the Five Star Movement towards the now creaking European Union, especially as growing Euroscepticism has been boosted by the Brexit referendum and the Trump dismissal and disdain for the European Union. In doing so, the paper examines the historic approach of so-called ‘anti- establishment’ parties that have had an almost ‘normal’ occurrence within the Italian political environment since the end of the Second World War. In this sense the paper concludes that addressing parties and systems as anti-establishment does little to help our understanding of this most fluid political period in Italy and across Europe.

“Contemporary art” is universal, but in international commonality, Chinese contemporary art has its specific problems that it faces: this includes scientific falsification and critique of artistic conspiracy and deception, highlighting the contemporary nature of contemporary art’s cognitive function, and connecting relationship with theory and practice, history and logic between contemporary art and artistic phenomenology, such as “world 2,” “practice-spirit” and behavior, installation, etc., thus welcoming the world identity of “cognitive experience”and “spiritual practice.”From the above three parts, the article identifies, “contemporary art” is a view of problem consciousness, concept, and human beings’ independent personality and dignity. On the historical approach and value orientation, she is not only a historical uplift to the function of art cognition but also a historic approach and representation of the era of “cultural experience” and“civilized practice.”

This chapter shows an economic canvas introduction in part that has direct influence on the architects' and urban planning approach. It is followed by a brief explanation to the historic approach to city making, as in the past most of the urbanised areas were circular and the re-use of existing building materials was a standard issue. With the age of industrialisation and introduction of modern techniques and technologies, this attitude has changed, and the linear economic development only quickened the speed with which former solutions were forgotten. General studies showing various past approaches to urban circularity will be presented. Special attention will be paid to the sustainable city as a dynamically changing development process.

This paper discusses the implementation of Aceh’s Qanun (the regional law) Number 14 of 2003 on khalwat (mesum/adultery) in Subulussalam city. The current study aims to explain the strategies to deal with the cases of khlawat in Aceh. It was field and library research by carrying out qualitative method and socio-legal-historic approach. The research findings reveal that the cases of khlawat could be solved through the pivotal roles of the local customary court (Mahkamah Adat) and Islamic court (Mahkamah Syar’iyah). The roles arose an uncertainty in handling the cases, particularly for the law enforcement agencies (WH, police officers, prosecutors, and the Mahkamah Syar’iyah). Additionally, the Acehnese Qanun Number 9 of 2008 on the preservation of customary law has explicitly established the problem-solving of lawsuit and its mechanism in an exclusive chapter. The Article 13 Section 1 in this Qanun asserts that the types of lawsuit/dispute of local customs consist of 18 issues. Khalwat is one of the involved issues, and the Mahkamah Adat is the authorized party concerning the issue.

ABSTRACT:The purpose of this research is to find out whether the liquidity risk management applied by BMT Al IZZAH Ngoro Mojokerto. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Unit of analysis is liquidity risk management applied by BMT Al IZZAH Ngoro Mojokerto. Data processing techniques in this research based on Miles and Huberman.Research results can be concluded that BMT Al IZZAH Ngoro Mojokerto in performing risk identification use historic approach and emerge a pattern of yearly cycles and mapping the cash flow. Liquidity risk categorized in third quadrant with low frequency occurs and give severe impact while the risk is come. Risk mitigation focused in preventive action in order to avoid liquidity risk and develop contingency plan. BMT Al IZZAH Ngoro Mojokerto performing monitoring and controlling of liquidity risk, are supported by technology and come along with held an appointment regularly with all employees discuss about financial condition in BMT.

ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate, qualitatively, the Brazilian nursing journals and identify their strengths and weaknesses when compared to international journals in the area. Methods: A historic approach regarding the period from 2012 to 2016. We included national nursing journals indexed in the SciELO Database and international journals with an impact factor above 1.0 and below 1.8 indexed in the WoS and Scopus databases. Results: The national journals met SciELO requirements for internationalization and obtained visibility when they were included in international indexing bases. Their citations were mostly national, with the following mean values: 86% in Portuguese; 12% in Spanish and 2% in English. Conclusion: The excellence requirements of the national journals are being accomplished. The publication of articles in Spanish can impact on the increase of bibliometric indicators.

Sharing is a virtue, instilled in us from childhood. Unfortunately, when it comes to big data—i.e., databases possessing the potential to usher in a whole new world of scientific progress—the legal landscape prefers a hoggish motif. The historic approach to the resulting database–privacy problem has been anonymization, a subtractive technique incurring not only poor privacy results, but also lackluster utility. In anonymization’s stead, differential privacy arose; it provides better, near-perfect privacy, but is nonetheless subtractive in terms of utility. Today, another solution is leaning into the fore, synthetic data. Using the magic of machine learning, synthetic data offers a generative, additive approach—the creation of almost-but-not-quite replica data. In fact, as we recommend, synthetic data may be combined with differential privacy to achieve a best-of-both-worlds scenario. After unpacking the technical nuances of synthetic data, we analyze its legal implications, finding both over and under inclusive applications. Privacy statutes either overweigh or downplay the potential for synthetic data to leak secrets, inviting ambiguity. We conclude by finding that synthetic data is a valid, privacy-conscious alternative to raw data, but is not a cure-all for every situation. In the end, computer science progress must be met with proper policy in order to move the area of useful data dissemination forward.

Accounts of people who crossed genders, either temporarily or for a lifetime, are well known to historians. The emerging field of transgender studies has raised a new set of questions for scholars intent on unpacking more fully the meaning of the lives of people who were never neatly contained by the categories of “man” or “woman.” A historic approach to this subject is invaluable since particular historic periods signaled significant changes in how such people were perceived and treated by institutions, including the state and the medical establishment. Another crucial axis of difference exists between dominant understandings of those who were assigned the female sex at birth and those who were assigned the male sex at birth.
