In the heterogeneous corpus of works published by sons of Argentinean desaparecidos one of the most interesting and original contribution are the texts written by Félix Bruzzone. The aim of this article is to outline the main characteristics of the author’s style and then to analyse his last novel Campo de Mayo (2019). The novel actually originates as another type of text, a performance, so first of all, the peculiarities of this textuality will be identified, in order to reflect on the mechanisms that intervene when a performance is transposed into a novel. It will be demonstrated that the novel  keeps many elements of the performance, all linked to the theme of the search for disappeared parents, that ensure that the dynamic corporeal characteristic of the hipotext is kept in its novelisation, in order to create a discourse that through the body of the protagonist displays all the contradictions and paradoxes that this impossible search implies, using de textual image of the moving body to give an account of the complex dynamics of identity definition concerning sons of desaparecidos.

This work will analyze the short story Hombre de la esquina rosada by Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges, in order to establish a relationship between the textual image created by Borges and the concept of Self-Figuration proposed by critic José Amícola (who builds upon the work of critic Sylvia Molloy). In order to further this analysis a brief historical review will be made, particularly focused on the appearance of Autobiography as a genre in the Eighteenth Century and its later consolidation in both Europe and Argentina during the Nineteenth Century. This historical relationship will be used to help analyze the concept of SelfFiguration in the specific case of Borges. Subsequently, this analysis will consider Borges' relationship with cutlers' stories, the relationship of these stories with larger literary tradition and, finally, the Argentine author's Self-Figuration in the tale "Man on the Pink Corner." Commentary from theorist Jesus Davila will also be used to analyze significant features of Borges' cutler's stories and identify elements of said stories which could contribute to Borges' Self-Figuration.

Linguistic and Textual Image of Mazur in Poetry by Stepan Rudans’kyy The main issue discussed in this article is the linguistic and textual image of Mazur in the poetry by Stepan Rudans’kyy. Rudans’kyy invented his own poetic form called “spivomovka”, which was inspired by Ukrainian folklore. Those humorous poems mainly focused on describing local types of Podolia ethnic groups, such as Cossacks, Ruthenians, Russians (Moskal), rabbis, Polish colonists (Mazur –[Mazovian], Lach). The creation of Mazur in poems by Rudans’kyy was largely influenced by the image of Mazur in the Ukrainian and Polish folklore. The linguistic and textual images of the character are created by Mazur’s replies, as well as descriptions of his activity. Mazur is characterized by the following features: sincerity, simplicity, naivety, superficial religiousness and cheerfulness. Through presenting the characteristics of Mazur, the author also draws our attention to the important issue of the lack of code that would be common to the interlocutors, both in terms of linguistics and culture.

The article presents the most typical ways of co-building various types of film space through the verbal layer of the soundtrack: inside the frame and outside of it, diegetic and non-diegetic, and narrative and non-narrative. In order to discuss linguistic ways of co-creating space, the author used the tenets of mediolinguistics and the ideas of the textual image of the world and the linguistic image of the world.

The purpose of this article is to analyze how a selection of texts by Venezuelan authors Celeste Olalquiaga, Yolanda Pantin and Arturo Uslar Pietri, each produced in different historical stages of Venezuela, represent space as a textual-image. This representation of space as a textual-image portrays both its contemporaneity and a series of effects that stem from memory and the historical configuration of the city, to the suggestion of new ways of seeing and feeling at a given space. To answer this hypothesis, the corpus will be analyzed by articulating theoretical aspects of the visible and the enunciable (Jacques Rancière), and the idea of the generation of images based on the text’s textuality (Luz Horne). Taking these theoretical approaches as a starting point, it will be argued that by remediating Realism the study corpus conveys space as an image that both portrays its contemporaneity, and seeks to condense the affects induced by a determinate space such as the city of Caracas.

Spam on the online social networks (OSNs) is evolving as a prominent problem for the users of these networks. Spammers often use certain techniques to deceive the OSN users for their own benefit. Facebook, one of the leading OSNs, is experiencing such crucial problems at an alarming rate. This chapter presents a methodology to segregate spam from legitimate posts using machine learning techniques: naïve Bayes (NB), support vector machine (SVM), and random forest (RF). The textual, image, and video features are used together, which wasn't considered by the earlier researchers. Then, 1.5 million posts and comments are extracted from archival and real-time Facebook data, which is then pre-processed using RStudio. A total of 30 features are identified, out of which 10 are the best informative for identification of spam vs. ham posts. The entire dataset is shuffled and divided into three ratios, out of which 80:20 ratio of training and testing dataset provides the best result. Also, RF classifier outperforms NB and SVM by achieving overall F-measure 89.4% on the combined feature set.

This article focuses on the figure of Nicolas Bouvier as a tales teller. The recurring presence of the storytelling figure in Bouvier’s work demonstrates an obvious interest in orality, visible particularly in discussions, cinematographic productions or interviews. This study, which focuses on three of Bouvier’s public performances (Routes et Déroutes, a film portrayal entitled Le Hibou et la Baleine and a series of documents from Radio Télévision Suisse romande) examines the writer-traveller’s position as well the different textual, image and sound representations of his work.
