Effect of different concentrations of aqueous solutions of sodium cyclamate on sugars (mono and disaccharides) are observed by measuring the densities of (sugar + water) and (sugar + water + sodium cyclamate) systems. Densities of aqueous solutions of D (+) mannose (monosaccharide) and D (+) maltose monohydrate (disaccharide) in (0.05, 0.15, 0.3) mol.kg-1 of sodium cyclamate (Na-Cyclamate) at T = 298.15 K have been measured. From experimental values of densities , Vɸ0( partial molar volumes) ΔtrsVɸ0 (partial molar volumes of transfer) ASV (apparent specific volumes) interaction parameters (𝑉𝐴𝐵) and (𝑉𝐴𝐵𝐵 ) have been determined. The calculated values of various parameters have been used to interpret the results in terms of (D (+) mannose – water), (D (+) mannose –water– Na-cyclamate), (D (+) maltose monohydrate – water) and (D (+) maltose monohydrate – water – Na-cyclamate) interactions in sugar– water – Na-cyclamate and quality of taste sense of solutions.

The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the form of sensory adjectives in the Minangkabau language in Nagari Sungai Tarab, Sungai Tarab Subdistrict, Tanah Datar District, and (2) types of sensory adjectives in the Minangkabau language in Nagari Sungai Tarab, Sungai Tarab District, Tanah Datar. This type of research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. The data source of this research is the Minangkabau language community in Nagari Sungai Tarab, Sungai Tarab Subdistrict, Tanah Datar. The findings of this study, namely (1) based on the shape, the amount of data on basic shape sense adjectives is more found than the derived form adjectives, (2) the most common form of derived adjectives is affixed sensory adjectives, and (3) based on the type, the amount of data the sense of sight adjectives are more numerous than the sense of smell adjectives, tactile sense adjectives, hearing sense adjectives, and taste sense adjectives. Keywords: Sensory Adjectives, Minangkabau language, Sungai Tarab

The article deals with the methodological problem faced while identifying the EEG-correlate of taste sense by perception of complex stimuli involving a wide spectrum of sensory systems. As an example we defined a brain cortex activity pattern by tasting citric acid. As a result most promising taste perception correlate was found in beta high frequency band of right frontal cortex area. Other loci of brain cortex activity observed by citric acid presentation reflect non-taste perception forms appearing as by-products of oral stimulation.

Background: Nasal polyposis is a provocative situation of indefinite etiology thatinvolve nasal as well as sinus mucous membrane. Quality of life of a person can damage by nasalimpediment due to these nasal polyps. Further, it can cause of persistent postnasal drainage, hyposmia, sinusitis, taste sense change even bony demolition. It shows that inflammationreason a reactive hyperplasia of intra-nasal mucosal membrane resulted in the polyp formation. Objectives: To discover the kind of fungus concerned in nasal polyps fungal. Study Design:Descriptive study. Setting: ENT department of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore. Period: 1stJanuary 2017 to 30th June 2017. Materials and Methods: In microbiology department, thesecollected samples were processed to check the involvement of fungal. Out of all, 118 caseswere included in this study which culture was positive. Increase for microscopic assessment, mycological culture to determine the involvement of fungal and fungus kind, these sampleswere processed for diagnosis by potassium hydroxide (KOH). By using seaboard dextroseagar at 25ºC and 37ºC the fungal culture was done. Periodically it was identified through culturecharacteristics & microscopy if growth was present. Results: In this study, 118 culture positivesamples were included. In 82 cases Aspergillus Spp. was observed among positive specimens; In 32 samples Aspergillus flavus was observed while in 10 samples Aspergillus fumigates wasfound and species was not cleared in 40 samples. The fungal element was isolated in 36samples but genus was not determined. Conclusion: In fungal nasal polyposis, AspergillusSpp. is very general pathogen and we observed in our study that Aspergillus flavus is verycommon agent.

Abstract Pangalem is one of the oral traditions of Madurese society in the form of proverb. Pangalem is a proverb containing compliments that is uttered by a speaker when sees others’ beauty of body shape, kindness of attitude, and goodness of characteristic. In Madurese society pangalem is described by using metaphors of fruits, animals, foods, dead things, and natural condition. Such metaphors are used because they see similarity of their shape, color, or attitude. Pangalem is not merely utterances without meaning, because when someone is praising other person, actually there is something implied in his or her mind. For example, when he or she sees beautiful lips, in his or her mind he will imagine to kiss the lips when he or she praises it. Such imagination drives him or her to praise someone with something near to taste sense, such as bibirra jherruk saloné 'her lips are like one segment of an orange'. Therefore, this research will explain kinds of pangalem, the forming of pangalem based on society’s point of view, and Madurese society’s degree of understanding toward such pangalem. I use comparative and semiotic method, because the determination of meaning is not only from the text of pangalem, but also from context of situation and culture.   Key words: Madurese society, oral tradition, pangalem, and metaphor.
