The government's role in maintaining economic stability is carried out by issuing fiscal policies, in terms of taxation, namely by reducing the Corporate Income Tax rate. This research intends to find out the results of a decrease in corporate income tax rates affecting a decrease in current taxes deposited into the state treasury, a decrease in the total income tax burden, and recording in the income statement financial statements. The informants of this research are members of the Tax Rules Update Forum. This type of qualitative research uses a netnography approach. The reduction in current taxes deposited into the state treasury benefits the company by minimizing the costs incurred for the obligation to deposit state taxes. Companies that have deferred tax liabilities receive deferred tax benefits recorded in the balance sheet account, so the total income tax expense has decreased. In recording the income statement, the company has deferred tax assets adding to the deferred tax expense. Deferred tax expense in profit or loss account.

Tax planning only effects absolute earnings management without specific direction. Deferred tax assets do not have a significant impact to detect earnings management downwards and deferred tax expense has no significant impact to earnings management but can potentially detect earnings management upwards in extreme cases.Deferred Tax Asset

This research examines the impact of taxes, exchange rates, leverage, and bonus mechanism on transfer pricing. Tax is calculated by dividing deferred tax expenses taxable by profits. The exchange rate is calculated by dividing foreign exchange profit and loss by profit and loss before tax. Leverage is calculated by dividing total debt by total assets. Bonus Mechanism is calculated by multiplying net profit year t by net profit year t-1 by 100%. The population in this research included 54 manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2019, with 29 samples examined across three years. This study is quantitative since the data is numerical, and the data analysis technique is multiple linear regression. The exchange rate has a substantial impact on transfer pricing, according to the findings of this research. Based on the study, the Adjusted R Square value is 0.104, which indicates 10.4% of the independent factors, namely tax, exchange rate, leverage, and bonus mechanism, impact the dependent variable, transfer pricing. The remaining 89.6% is affected by another variable.

Abstract. Income taxation is typical for most countries with their own peculiarities. In the practice of the Ukrainian enterprises, there is a lack of relationship between accounting and tax accounting to reflect the deferred tax asset and deferred tax liability in the reporting. The purpose of the article is to analyze the income tax in terms of its calculation by the international standards and identify key tax differences. The authors proposed to formulate the definitions of the current income tax which should be understood as the amount of income taxes payable (reimbursed) on taxable profit (tax loss) for the period and expenses (income) from income tax which should be understood as the total amount included in the determination of profit or loss for the period in accordance with current and deferred taxes. This interpretation of the definitions will help better understand the concepts in accounting and taxation. The tax base of assets and the tax base of liabilities are given and substantiated. The temporary differences were identified by authors. The example of definition of Deferred tax liabilities and Deferred tax assets, the order of their reflection in the report on financial results (about the total income) and disclosure in the Notes to the financial reporting is considered and analyzed. The impact on the indicators of the Income Tax Return is investigated. There is no direct impact of the amount of the Deferred tax assets / Deferred tax liabilities according to the current algorithm for the object of taxation, which is determined by tax legislation. The conclusions are made about the importance of determining of Deferred tax liabilities and Deferred tax assets, which directly affects the amount of net profit. The result of the study was confirmation of the hypothesis concerning different orientation of norms of the legal documents on the display of information in the forms of the financial and tax reporting. Such differences are related to the different requirement to the reporting by the modern stakeholders. Keywords: income tax, deferred tax, tax asset, tax liability, reporting. Deferred taxes are an important object of accounting observation to judge the degree of discrepancies between financial and tax accounting. Meanwhile, the information discloses to users the effects arising from the tax planning tools usage for corporate management and forecasting cash outflows associated with the payment of income tax in the future. The paper formalized two concepts of accounting for deferred taxes in the form of models: temporary and timing differences associated with accounting ideologies. The author ha structured the logic of reflecting deferred taxes on accounting accounts using the balance sheet and “cost” methods. Analysis of foreign experience and domestic practice made it possible to conclude that there are controversial issues on the assessment of deferred taxes in reporting, including at present value. Also, the author revealed discrepancies in Russian Accounting Standard (PBU) 18/02 which were conceptually different from a similar international standard and conflicting with it in a number of theoretical and methodological positions. The research results are aimed at scientific and practical workers in the field of financial accounting, taxation and audit.

AbstractDeferred taxes—resulting from differences between financial and tax accounts—have been a long-standing, contentious issue in financial accounting regulation, practice, and research. Debates on concepts and standards have been accompanied by doubts around whether and the extent to which deferred taxes provide relevant information for financial statement users and are employed by firms to manage their earnings. This paper systematically reviews the body of empirical evidence that has emerged over the last three decades on deferred taxes in the fields of value relevance and earnings management. A bibliographic analysis and a narrative synthesis are presented within a thematic categorization framework. Key results indicate that existing research focuses on the US setting. There is substantial evidence for the value relevance of various deferred tax items but limited evidence that firms use deferred taxes to manage their earnings. The findings suggest implications for both future research and the regulatory debate.
