Abstract The spectral lags of gamma ray bursts are defined as the difference in the registration time of the same radiation pulse in different energy channels of the recording device. This parameter can characterize both the mechanism of radiation generation by the source and the physical conditions of radiation propagation from the source to the observer. In this paper, the dependence of the arrival time of photons on their energy for the gamma ray burst GRB 190114C is obtained from the data of the Gamma ray Burst Monitor (NaI detectors) of the Fermi Gamma ray Space Telescope. It is shown that this dependence is mainly due to the back edges of the light curve pulses. The spectral lags of the leading edges of the pulses are small and comparable in magnitude to the measurement errors. The observed anomaly in the energy range from 5 to 20 keV is probably related to the quasi-thermal radiation of the source.

This work considers synergistic multi-spectral CT reconstruction where information from all available energy channels is combined to improve the reconstruction of each individual channel. We propose to fuse these available data (represented by a single sinogram) to obtain a polyenergetic image which keeps structural information shared by the energy channels with increased signal-to-noise ratio. This new image is used as prior information during a channel-by-channel minimization process through the directional total variation. We analyse the use of directional total variation within variational regularization and iterative regularization. Our numerical results on simulated and experimental data show improvements in terms of image quality and in computational speed. This article is part of the theme issue ‘Synergistic tomographic image reconstruction: part 2’.

This study presents a methodology to reveal traces of viral particles, as aerosol with known chemical and molecular structure, in a sample by means of photon and electron interactions. The method is based on Monte Carlo simulations and on the analysis of photon-electron fluxes-spectra through energy channels counts as a function of different aerosol viral concentrations in the air sample and looking at the peculiar photon/electron interactions with the potential abnormal atomic hydrogen (H), oxygen (O), carbon (C), and phosphorus (P) compositions present in the air sample as a function of living and nonliving matter with PO4 group RNA/DNA strands in a cluster configuration.

Thought communications with an associative-communicative robot are carried out through the spectral neurointerface of internal speech. Internal speech is an energy physiological process. Internal speech is vibration from the mental vibration of thought. Mental vibration of thought is a process in the mental ethereal field. The vibrations of thoughts are reflected and observed by the mind in the form of semantic sensual images. Vibrations of semantic sensual images generate vibrations of internal speech action (internal speech) in the form of language communicative and associative stereotypes which are perceived by a touch zone of a brain of Wernicke. Internal speech is a linguistic mental vibration, It is felt and becomes internally audible and drawn to attention. The perception of vibrations of internal speech is carried out through energy channels, such as the internal posterior median canal of the spine. The spectral neurointerface perceives these vibrations. Neocortex makes us a reasonable person - allows us to think and talk. The spectral neurointerface is based on the principles of biosensors, bioenergy detectors, spectral analyzers and electrocorticography for neuroimaging parts of the brain that record vibrations of internal speech, such as the lower frontal gyrus, the upper and middle temporal gyrus, the medial prefrontal cortex, the hind parts of the wedge and precline and the dark temporal region, including the posterior Internal speech activity is associated with the semantic memory of the neocortex.

In this work, we put forward a prescription of achieving spin selective electron transfer by means of light irradiation through a tight-binding (TB) magnetic chain whose site energies are modulated in the form of well known Aubry–Andre–Harper (AAH) model. The interaction of itinerant electrons with local magnetic moments in the magnetic system provides a misalignment between up and down spin channels which leads to a finite spin polarization (SP) upon locating the Fermi energy in a suitable energy zone. Both the energy channels are significantly affected by the irradiation which is directly reflected in degree of spin polarization as well as in its phase. We include the irradiation effect through Floquet ansatz and compute spin polarization coefficient by evaluating transmission probabilities using Green’s function prescription. Our analysis can be utilized to investigate spin dependent transport phenomena in any driven magnetic system with quasiperiodic modulations.

The nature of the turbulent energy transfer rate is studied using direct numerical simulations of weakly collisional space plasmas. This is done comparing results obtained from hybrid Vlasov–Maxwell simulations of collisionless plasmas, Hall magnetohydrodynamics and Landau fluid models reproducing low-frequency kinetic effects, such as the Landau damping. In this turbulent scenario, estimates of the local and global scaling properties of different energy channels are obtained using a proxy of the local energy transfer. This approach provides information on the structure of energy fluxes, under the assumption that the turbulent cascade transfers most of the energy that is then dissipated at small scales by various kinetic processes in these kinds of plasmas.

Electrical energy lines are the main needs in everyday life and for industrial needs. Because electrical energy channels are easy to send and convert into other forms of energy. The supply of stable and continuous electrical energy is an absolute requirement that must be met in meeting the needs of electric power. The Faculty of Economics building consists of two two-story buildings that are used for academic, administrative and lecture activities. The use of the room is equipped with electrical equipment, such as installation of air conditioners, lighting, computers, infocus and other additional equipment. As a result of the installation of electrical equipment, it caused disturbances and problems in the electrical system in the Economics Faculty Building. This research was conducted to evaluate the Building Load for the Faculty of Economics, University of Lancang Kuning. Based on the results of the discussion, an evaluation was obtained at the Unilak Faculty of Economics building, the average current at 3 phase 380 volts was 51.3 amps, the power capacity was 197 kW, the voltage drop was 24.1 volts, the power loss was 908.8, 89 watts (0.909 kW) and the value of grounding resistance is 22.15 ohms.
