In cuprate superconductors, due to strong electronic correlations, there are multiple intertwined orders which either coexist or compete with superconductivity. Among them, the antiferromagnetic (AF) order is the most prominent one. In the region where superconductivity sets in, the long-range AF order is destroyed. Yet the residual short-range AF spin fluctuations are present up to a much higher doping, and their role in the emergence of the superconducting phase is still highly debated. Here, by using a spin-polarized scanning tunneling microscope, we directly visualize an emergent incommensurate AF order in the nearby region of Fe impurities embedded in the optimally doped Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ (Bi2212). Remarkably, the Fe impurities suppress the superconducting coherence peaks with the gapped feature intact, but pin down the ubiquitous short-range incommensurate AF order. Our work shows an intimate relation between antiferromagnetism and superconductivity.

By using solid targets in medical cyclotrons, it is possible to produce large amounts of 68GaCl3. Purification of Ga3+ from metal ion impurities is a critical step, as these metals compete with Ga3+ in the complexation with different chelators, which negatively affects the radiolabeling yields. In this work, we significantly lowered the level of iron (Fe) impurities by adding ascorbate in the purification, and the resulting 68GaCl3could be utilized for high-yield radiolabeling of clinically relevant DOTA-based tracers. 68GaCl3 was cyclotron-produced and purified with ascorbate added in the wash solutions through the UTEVA resins. The 68Ga eluate was analyzed for radionuclidic purity (RNP) by gamma spectroscopy, metal content by ICP-MS, and by titrations with the chelators DOTA, NOTA, and HBED. The 68GaCl3eluate was utilized for GMP-radiolabeling of the DOTA-based tracers DOTATOC and FAPI-46 using an automated synthesis module. DOTA chelator titrations gave an apparent molar activity (AMA) of 491 ± 204 GBq/µmol. GMP-compliant syntheses yielded up to 7 GBq/batch [68Ga]Ga-DOTATOC and [68Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 (radiochemical yield, RCY ~ 60%, corresponding to ten times higher compared to generator-based productions). Full quality control (QC) of 68Ga-labelled tracers showed radiochemically pure and stable products at least four hours from end-of-synthesis.

Activated carbon is widely used as an electrode material in supercapacitors due to its superior electrochemical stability, excellent electrical conductivity, and environmental friendliness. In this study, the self-discharge mechanisms of activated carbon electrodes loaded with different contents of Fe impurities (Fe and Fe3O4) were analyzed by multi-stage fitting to explore the tunability of self-discharge. It is was found that a small quantity of Fe impurities on carbon materials improves the self-discharge performance dominated by redox reaction, by adjusting the surface state and pore structure of carbon materials. As the content of Fe impurities increases, the voltage loss of activated carbon with the Fe impurity concentrations of 1.12 wt.% (AF-1.12) decreases by 37.9% of the original, which is attributable to the reduce of ohmic leakage and diffusion, and the increase in Faradic redox at the electrode/electrolyte interface. In summary, self-discharge performance of carbon-based supercapacitors can be adjusted via the surface state and pour structure, which provides insights for the future design of energy storage.
