Some countries have puppet culture in various forms, terms, and ways, including Indonesia. As a country with a diverse culture, it has detailed and comprehensive characteristics and stories related to puppets, especially the Javanese shadow puppet. Some experts have explored its characteristics and found out that it contains many mathematical elements which could be used as a starting point to learn mathematics. The elements, however, still focus on the exploration of geometry material. We hardly find any other material that has been explored as deep as the geometry material in the context of the Javanese shadow puppet. Therefore, this study aims to explore the other elements of mathematics potentially found in this context which—for this example—is the sets material. Besides, this study also discusses the righteous life values that the students could internalize during mathematics learning through shadow puppet culture. We used ethnography to explore it through literature study, documentation, and field notes. We found some interesting elements, characteristics, and patterns in the Javanese shadow puppet, which can be used as a starting point to learn the sets concept. Furthermore, the values and philosophy of the shadow puppet culture harbor the potential to foster the students’ good character and behavior.

Deep learning is a type of machine learning that trains a computer to perform human-like tasks, such as recognizing speech, identifying images or making predictions. Instead of organizing data to run through predefined equations, deep learning sets up basic parameters about the data and trains the computer to learn on its own by recognizing patterns using many layers of processing. This paper aims to illustrate some of the different deep learning algorithms and methods which can be applied to artificial intelligence analysis, as well as the opportunities provided by the application in various decision making domains.

PurposeThe study describes the implementation of a novel strategy, entitled the Action Learning Set Facilitation Model, to develop internal facilitation capability to lead change. The Model incorporated the Novice-Experienced-Expert pathway, a facilitation development approach underpinning the integrated-Promoting Action on Research Implementation in Health Services Implementation Framework, with action learning methodology.Design/methodology/approachA mixed-methods descriptive approach reports the results of 22 interviews, 182 Action Learning Sets and 159 post program survey data sets to explore facilitator experiences, strengths and potential application of the Model.FindingsAt program completion, five novice (of 174) and one experienced (of 27) facilitator transitioned to the next facilitation level. The three groups of facilitators described positive change in confidence and facilitation skill, and experience of action learning sets. Inconsistencies between self-report competence and observed practice amongst novices was reported. Novices had decreasing exposure to the Model due to factors related to ongoing organisational change. Internal facilitators were considered trusted and credible facilitators.Research limitations/implicationsThere are practical and resource implications in investing in internal facilitation capability, noting proposed and real benefits of similar development programs may be compromised during, or as a consequence of organisational change. Further research describing application of the facilitation model, strategies to enhance multisystemic support for programs and evaluation support are suggested.Practical implicationsThe Action Learning Set Facilitation Model offers promise in developing internal facilitation capability supporting change in organisations. Critical success factors include building broad scale internal capability, stable leadership and longitudinal support to embed practice.Originality/valueThis is the first application of the facilitation component of the integrated-Promoting Action on Research Implementation in Health Services implementation framework embedded to action learning sets as an implementation science strategy for leader development supporting organisational change.

Learning from unordered sets is a fundamental learning setup, recently attracting increasing attention. Research in this area has focused on the case where elements of the set are represented by feature vectors, and far less emphasis has been given to the common case where set elements themselves adhere to their own symmetries. That case is relevant to numerous applications, from deblurring image bursts to multi-view 3D shape recognition and reconstruction. In this paper, we present a principled approach to learning sets of general symmetric elements. We first characterize the space of linear layers that are equivariant both to element reordering and to the inherent symmetries of elements, like translation in the case of images. We further show that networks that are composed of these layers, called Deep Sets for Symmetric Elements layers (DSS), are universal approximators of both invariant and equivariant functions, and that these networks are strictly more expressive than Siamese networks. DSS layers are also straightforward to implement. Finally, we show that they improve over existing set-learning architectures in a series of experiments with images, graphs, and point clouds.

The results of consideration of advanced mathematical models of vibration diagnostic signals are given, which take into account both the properties of diagnostic objects and the modes (speed, electric temperature, etc.) in which the object under study operates. Models of representation of training sets corresponding to certain technical states of EO units and which can work in different modes are considered. The method of representation of training sets in the form of a matrix which elements represent scattering ellipses corresponding both to certain kinds of defects of separate knots of EO, and modes of its work is offered. The structure of construction of training sets on a flat (2D) and volume (3D) matrix is substantiated, the elements of which contain sets corresponding to separate units of EA, and their combination forms a separate electrotechnical unit. The internet with its tools like social networks and video channels has become an important support in higher education and in the medical sciences. In this context, it is important to know the level of student satisfaction with the proposals and teaching methods implemented by the teachers. Objective: Establish the satisfaction level in Obstetrics` students with the use of videos cannel YouTube, through social networks. Subjects and method: enrolled students who regularly attend classes, first and fourth semester of Obstetrics - Central University of Ecuador. A survey was developed; responses were evaluated using. Results and conclusions: a degree of positive and desirable satisfaction with the use of videos through channel YouTube as a support in learning sets, so you should take advantage and encourage its use. We recommend doing studies to assess the impact of educational videos in the learning process.
