Some countries have puppet culture in various forms, terms, and ways, including Indonesia. As a country with a diverse culture, it has detailed and comprehensive characteristics and stories related to puppets, especially the Javanese shadow puppet. Some experts have explored its characteristics and found out that it contains many mathematical elements which could be used as a starting point to learn mathematics. The elements, however, still focus on the exploration of geometry material. We hardly find any other material that has been explored as deep as the geometry material in the context of the Javanese shadow puppet. Therefore, this study aims to explore the other elements of mathematics potentially found in this context which—for this example—is the sets material. Besides, this study also discusses the righteous life values that the students could internalize during mathematics learning through shadow puppet culture. We used ethnography to explore it through literature study, documentation, and field notes. We found some interesting elements, characteristics, and patterns in the Javanese shadow puppet, which can be used as a starting point to learn the sets concept. Furthermore, the values and philosophy of the shadow puppet culture harbor the potential to foster the students’ good character and behavior.

In studying mathematics,many students bothmen and women considermathematics as a boring subject. Based on this, the gender aspect in learning mathematics become educators concern. Gender differences not only result in differences in mathematical ability, but also a way of gaining knowledge of mathematics. Some of the notion that women are not quite managed to learn math than men. In addition, women almost never have a thorough interest in theoretical questions such as the male. Women are more interested in practical matters than the theoretical. But on the other hand, not a few female students who have success in math skills. Writing this article aims to analyze some of the results of research on gender differences in mathematics learning. The methodology used is a literature study. This study found evidence of differences in the strategies used boys and girls, even to solve the spatial.

This study aims to analyze the existence of the judicial commission on the supervision of judges in Law no. 18 of 2011 concerning the Judicial Commission. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method using a literature study approach. The main data source used is Law no. 18 of 2011 concerning the Judicial Commission and the Law on Amendments to Law Number 22 of 2004 concerning the Judicial Commission. Data analysis is carried out by comparing the existence of the judicial commission from the two legal sources, and then drawing conclusions about the existence of the judicial commission, and its function of supervising judges. The results of the study indicate that the change to Law No. 22 of 2004 is the answer to the ambiguity of the duties, authorities and functions of the Judicial Commission, because it is not clear enough what is meant by "other powers in order to maintain and uphold honor, dignity, and behavior". judge." The problem becomes clearer, if the other authority is interpreted as supervision, because in the laws and regulations there are other institutions (besides the Judicial Commission) which are given the authority to carry out supervision. It is also in the context of maintaining and upholding the honor, nobility of dignity, and the behavior of judges is supervision.

The introduction first sets out some preliminary definitions of sex, sexuality, and gender. It then turns from the sexual part of Sexual Identities to the identity part. A great deal of confusion results from failing to distinguish between identity in the sense of a category with which one identifies (categorial identity) and identity in the sense of a set of patterns that characterize one’s cognition, emotion, and behavior (practical identity). The second section gives a brief summary of this difference. The third and fourth sections sketch the relation of the book to social constructionism and queer theory, on the one hand, and evolutionary-cognitive approaches to sex, sexuality, and gender, on the other. The fifth section outlines the value of literature in not only illustrating, but advancing a research program in sex, sexuality, and gender identity. Finally, the introduction provides an overview of the chapters in this volume.

Unsubsidised private retirement resorts in South Africa developed during the last three decades present residents with many challenges. There is no existing generally accepted knowledge base or guidelines to serve this sensitive market. The research objective was to establish which elements are experienced by residents of retirement resorts as satisfactory and which as problematic. A literature study was also undertaken. Quantitative as well as qualitative data were obtained by means of structured questionnaires, interviews and a seminar. The results reported pertain to eight resorts in the east of Pretoria, four in Bloemfontein and two in Knysna. The study is currently being extended to other centres. The quantitative data is arranged in order of the priorities set by the biggest group (Pretoria), with the other groups in comparison. So the research was based on the sourcing of quantitative and qualitative data, as well as on descriptive evaluations. The results offer insightful knowledge and guidelines towards establishing an optimal profile for the development of long-term sustainable private retirement resorts. The implications and value of this study are that both developers of retirement resorts and prospective residents are provided with guidelines to better equip them to evaluate a specific retirement resort with regard to the sustainable well- being of residents long-term.

The ontological question of what there is, from the perspective of common sense, is intricately bound to what can be perceived. The above observation, when combined with the fact that nouns within language can be divided between nouns that admit counting, such as ‘pen’ or ‘human’, and those that do not, such as ‘water’ or ‘gold’, provides the starting point for the following investigation into the foundations of our linguistic and conceptual phenomena. The purpose of this paper is to claim that such phenomena are facilitated by, on the one hand, an intricate cognitive capacity, and on the other by the complex environment within which we live. We are, in a sense, cognitively equipped to perceive discrete instances of matter such as bodies of water. This equipment is related to, but also differs from, that devoted to the perception of objects such as this computer. Behind this difference in cognitive equipment underlies a rich ontology, the beginnings of which lies in the distinction between matter and objects. The following paper is an attempt to make explicit the relationship between matter and objects and also provide a window to our cognition of such entities.

Abstract A new tool, macrotexture map, was developed to represent and visualize texture heterogeneity in polycrystalline aggregate. This is a critical tool for microstructure representation, useful in risk analysis, performance simulation, and hotspot identification. In contrast to orientation imaging microscope (OIM) map where each color represents a crystal orientation, each color in this macrotexture map represents a texture. Different color represent different texture and similar texture shall have similar color. Macrotexture map provide a unique function to quantitatively evaluate texture heterogeneity of large components, leading to a first-hand understanding of property heterogeneity and anisotropy. For an experienced user, these maps serve the same purpose in identifying high risk locations in the investigated component as medical imaging maps do for diagnosis purpose. This method will also serve as a starting point in mesoscale simulation with meshing sensitivity based on the texture heterogeneity. It will provide a bridge between texture characterization and behavior simulation of components with texture heterogeneity. Macrotexture map will offer a linkage between crystal plasticity simulation in small length scale and finite element/difference simulation in large length scale.

The present text bets on the power of reflections on a pedagogy guided by cosmoperception. It is a collective call for the enchanted ways of perceiving and relating to the other. “Ọrọ, nwa, ẹkọ”, the talk, the look, the education, insurgent forces that grow in the cracks, just like moss, alive, reborn. That is the way we think about education, as a living practice, turned to freedom. Freedom understood as a force that enables us to question certain hegemonic truths entrenched in our ways of being, thinking and producing knowledge. In dialogue with the criticisms on the decolonial thought and by authors and authoresses who are putting themselves into thinking about an epistemology from a diasporic place, from the edges of the world, we will try to problematize the effects of the epistemic erasures promoted by the colonial processes and how that has affected our educative practices. The look at the educational experience that happens in the sacred territory of candomblé, will be our starting point to think about politically and poetically transformative educational practices.

Galur Subdistrict is an area that has abundant art and tradition potential and is in great demandby its people. Unfortunately, the art performances and traditions that are carried out only aim merelyto continue what have been done through generations. On the other hand, the influx of modernarts has become a threat to preserving traditional culture, especially among young people who aresupposed to be the guardians of the traditions. Tis encourages Javanese Literature Study Programto carry out a community service program consisting of a series of training program as the StudyProgram’s concern and real action for cultural preservation.The training program is carried out through mentoring in motivating, counseling, education,discussion, and consultation. By using such mentoring techniques, it is expected that the result of theprogram will be optimum, namely raising public awareness to increase language literacy, knowledgeof literature, and the knowledge of the art performances they have. In turn, they will be able tomanage the performances as a professional art performance organizer in the region.The outcomes of the community service program comprise the increasing ability of participants inreading and writing simple texts using Javanese alphabet, participants’ ability to compose macapatsongs and sing them, the participants’ ability to write Javanese poems with the rinengga language,the participants’ ability create a series of dances and nursery rhymes to be performed, and theparticipants’ ability to become masters of ceremonies. Sleep, food and language are pillars of children’s healthy lives, are intertwined from birth and make up the dynamic structure of child development. These are the effects of interdependent conditions: organic, psychic and social, which involve the child and result, simultaneously, from organic and symbolic inheritances. The latter overdetermines and modulates the interaction of the child with the environment, especially with the other human who is there. This heritage will draw patterns of conduct and behavior that can often contribute to changes that compromise, to some extent, the overall development of the child. In the children’s clinic, the description of developmentdisorders, from the mildest to the most severe, includes, as a rule, food, sleep and language aspects, which suggests, then, a base triad, questioning clinicians as to the possibility of there being, more than a simple coincidence, a correlation between fundamental biological functions. If this is the case, it will be important for the clinician to appropriate this perspective, since the implication will probably determine particularities in the diagnostic and treatment procedures. In this direction, it is worth deepening and discussing the development of these functions (sleep, diet, language), seeking to clarify their constitutive correlation, the link between them.

The method used in this research is the method of juridical sociological (empirical). The establishment of the Police Officer Education is an education to establish and equip students to be members of the police who have the knowledge, skills, abilities, commendable attitude and behavior in the context of carrying out police duties that come from the general public with the lowest level of high school graduates who have passed the various required tests such as administration and others.
