The article presents the results of the work carried out within the framework of forecast topics and economic contractual topics aimed to assess the stock and production of pike in the Topo-Pyaozero (Kumskoe) Reservoir. There have been studied its main biological and structural-population indicators. Calculations of indicators of pike’s abundance and biomass at the present stage, necessary for the rational regulation of the fishery have been carried out. It was found that the fishing possibilities of the presented pike populations correspond to the production possibilities of its sexually mature part and the value obtained as a result of the biomass increase. Pike should be taken into the commercial operation from the age of 4+ years and older. The performed calculations of the stock size based on the materials of 2009–2020 recommend the volume of the pike total allowable catch at the present stage not less than 36 tons, or 21% of the value of the commercial stock (at the maximum rate of 23.4%). From the results of observations it follows that the abundance and stocks of pike in the Topo-Pyaozero Reservoir make it possible to provide large volumes of catch at the present time, and the total catch can be increased to the calculated values the volume of the allowable catch, provided that a rational fishery is maintained in water bodies. The intensity of fishing and an increase in pike catches in the reservoir should be considered as mandatory measures in terms of biological reclamation in reservoirs

A continuous Codell Sandstone oil accumulation is present in the northern Denver Basin downdip from water-wet Codell. The Codell oil accumulation can be defined by resistivity, spontaneous potential (SP), and density logs. Updip from the oil accumulation, average deep resistivity of the Codell decreases to below 4 ohm-m, SP response increases, and density porosity increases. Codell sandstones are continuous across the transition from downdip oil to updip water, so the updip seal does not seem to be caused by a stratigraphic trap. The transition corresponds to a change in thermal history; the area of the oil accumulation was subject to much higher heat flow than the updip wet area. This thermal maturity may have had an impact on clay diagenesis resulting in reduced porosity in the more thermally mature part of the Codell. This paper presents a wireline log-based workflow that can be used to identify and map regional changes in thermal maturity that control hydrocarbon accumulations and sweet-spots in low-permeability rocks such as the argillaceous Codell Sandstone.

The aim of this study was to describe the immunophenotype of leukemic cells in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with inv(16) (p13.1q22)/CBFb-MYH11 and t(16;16)(p13.1;q22)/CBFb-MYH11 in children. This study is supported by the Independent Ethics Committee and approved by the Academic Council of the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology. We investigated bone marrow samples from 36 pediatric patients with initially diagnosed AML with inv(16)(p13.1q22)/t(16;16)(p13.1;q22)/CBFb-MYH11. Immunophenotypic profile of leukemic cells was very heterogeneous: cells expressed antigens of early stages of differentiation (CD34, CD117, CD123) as well as markers of mature monocytes (CD11c, CD14, CD64) and neutrophils (CD65, CD15). Moreover, in 55.6% of cases lymphoid coexpressions were noticed (CD2 – the most frequent one). Furthermore, in 83.3% of cases we detected the separation of leukemic cells population into two parts: more “immature” – myeloblastic, which expressed early markers of differentiation (CD34, CD117), and more “mature” part, expressing monocytic antigens (CD11b, CD14, CD33). There was no clear separation between these parts of population. Despite the immunophenotypic similarity between monocytic part of leukemic population and normal monocytes, in 87.5% of studied cases there were same lymphoid coexpressions on these cells as on leukemic myeloblasts. Moreover, we showed that levels of CBFb-MYH11 expression in leukemic monocytes and myeloblasts were comparable. Presence of these characteristics in monocytes allows to consider them as part of leukemic cells population and take into consideration during the total immunophenotype reporting.

This article undertakes a survey of the changes in the structure of the interpretive doctrines of the European Court of Human Rights (the Court) over time in an exploration of the aging of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR or the Convention) on its 70th anniversary. It argues that the Court’s interpretive doctrines that seek to give due deference to national rights traditions, canons and institutions have become increasingly pervasive in the Court’s procedural and substantive case law in the last two decades. This, in particular, has come at a loss for interpretative doctrines that interpret the Convention as a practical and effective living pan-European instrument. This argument is built in four parts. First it offers a defence of why a study of the interpretive doctrines of the Court over time is a good proxy for studying the ECHR’s ageing process. In the second part, it discusses the rich doctrinal forms of due deference and effective interpretation in the case law of the Court – both young and mature. Part three explains how the judicialisation and expansion of the European human rights system in late 1990 s transitioned to a more heightened and sophisticated focus on due deference doctrines in the Court’s case law. Finally, part four examines whether the recent judicial innovations under the Court’s Article 18 case law and the widely celebrated success of increased ownership of the Convention by domestic courts can act as counter points to the argument that the effective interpretation principle has suffered a loss as the Convention has aged, concluding that none of this may offset the fact that the Convention at 70 is more conservative in spirit than its younger self.

One of the most famous historians of chernomoria is Ivan diomidovich Popko, author of books and a number of articles on the history of the Cossacks, who spent the Mature part of his adult life in Stavropol. Therefore, the main part of its archive is stored there. A significant part of it consists of personal letters from Ekaterinodar, Tiflis, Vladikavkaz, St. Petersburg, and other cities. In the State archive of the Stavropol territory, the Fund 377, the authors were able to discover documents of great interest to historians who study the everyday life of the city of Ekaterinodar the mid-nineteenth century – it notes (4 sheets) exchanged between young Ivan and Diomidovich Vasily Fedorovich to the last departure in Stavropol, and 39 letters I.D. Popko, V.F., Zolotarenko, in the period from 1847 to 1855 A review of the identified notes and letters is offered to the reader. There is no conflict of interest.

The article summarizes the results of long-term observations of the status of roach stocks in the main fishing waters of the Republic of Karelia (Lake Onega, Lake Ladoga, Vodlozerо and Topo-Pyaozerо reservoirs, Lake Syamozero). New data on its biology (distribution, linear and weight indicators, abundance, biomass) have been presented. There has been shown the dynamics of roach catch for a long-term period (1950–2017). It has been found that the fishing capacity of the represented roach populations corresponds to the production capabilities of its mature part and to the value obtained by biomass growth. The results of observations showed that in the studied water bodies the number and stocks of roach allow for greater volumes of catch than it is currently available and the total catch can be increased up to the calculated values of the allowable catch subject to rational fishing in the water bodies. Roach should be commercially caught at the age of 4+ years old. Given the interspecific contradictions of roach and bream, intensive fishing is recommended during the period of spawning in the straits, bays and mouths of rivers. For catching roach, it is necessary to use coastal-type fishing gear (trap nets, seines). The intensity of fishing and the increase in catches in reservoirs should be considered as mandatory measures in terms of biological reclamation in water bodies. When allocating catch quotas, the priority should be given to the most productive roach suppliers. The accompanying factor for the wide distribution of roach, along with other spring-spawning carp species (blue bream, bream), in our opinion, is warming of the climate in the region. In this regard, it is necessary to take measures to force catching the above fish species.

This research presents the initial results of a study on the processes of online PhD supervision in the Education Sciences field. Remote mentoring and supervision bring new problems to the delivery of high-level doctoral studies with a widely dispersed base of mature, part-time, international students. These processes are analyzed by taking into account the supervision dynamics, the communication and support systems used, the activity space developed, and the tools used. For this exploratory study, we opted for a semi-structured interview; open ended at first, but to which some closed questions were added (especially questions to order or statements to evaluate). Twenty-six supervisors and students were interviewed, affording a view from both sides, so as to better understand the process and its difficulties. A classification system was set up afterwards, using notes taken on the spot in the interviews, and, later on, the categories were applied to the interview transcripts. Key elements have been identified, in which to intervene to improve the process. By taking into account the supervisors’ and students’ points of view, a certain coincidence could be observed when identifying such elements, both in relation to the style of supervision and support to the process, as well as to the dynamics, or susceptible tools and applications to improve the process; although both groups do not attribute the same value.

By use of a nonlinear stage-structured population model the role of cannibalism and the combined role of cannibalism and harvest have been explored. Regarding the model, we prove that in most parts of parameter space it is permanent. We also show that the transfer from stability to nonstationary dynamics always occurs when the unique stable equilibrium undergoes a supercritical Neimark-Sacker (Hopf) bifurcation. Moreover, the dynamic consequences of catch depend not only on which part of the population (immature or mature) is exposed to increased harvest pressure but also on which part of the immature population (newborns, older immature individuals) suffers from cannibalism. Indeed, if only newborns are exposed to cannibalism an enlargement of harvest pressure on the mature part of the population may act in a stabilizing fashion. On the other hand, whenever the whole immature population is exposed to cannibalism there are parts in parameter space where increased harvest on the mature population acts in a destabilizing fashion.
