Introduction: Advances and increasing technology adoption in the field of health have made it possible to implement tools such as clinical dashboards to assist nursing staff in providing better, more effective and safer care. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of clinical dashboards in providing nursing care.Material and Methods: This was a review study. For this purpose, the keywords Nursing, Nursing care, Clinical Dashboard, Health Dashboard, Evaluation were searched in the database of PubMed, Google Scholar, science direct. Criteria for inclusion in this study were studies that examined the role of clinical dashboards in the field of nursing and were published between 1990 and 2020. The necessary information was extracted using a researcher-made checklist and analyzed and reported in a descriptive manner. Results: A total of 2749 articles were retrieved. After reviewing by title, abstract and keywords, 7 studies that had appropriate content validity were selected for the present study. The intensive care unit had the highest frequency of dashboard use in nursing processes (n=3, 42%). The findings of this study showed that improving the quality of care, reducing medical errors and increasing patient safety are the most important benefits of using clinical dashboards in the field of nursing. Improving nurses' awareness of important patient issues and supporting clinical decisions were next in line. Conclusion: Clinical dashboards in the field of nursing care can reduce errors and possible negligence in the treatment by integration patient information and providing a comprehensive visual view of important patient information and as a suitable tool for evidence-based clinical and nursing decision support.

Rehabilitation is a process that allows individuals to return to the highest possible level of function. Usually aims to restore the level of function that is the same or higher than the level of function before the illness. Nurses in implementing mental nursing care use scientific methods in the form of nursing processes, interacting with clients, both individuals, families, and communities to achieve client independence. One of the nursing services in independent clients is a rehabilitation program in accordance with the definition of mental patient rehabilitation formulated in the National Working Meeting of Mental Health

Abstract Background The aim of the study - to evaluate the time devoted to the activities of therapeutic profile nursing and wastes in the nursing processes. Methods Time-and-motion study was applied for investigation of clinical workflow in nursing at district hospital in neurology and internal medicine departments. A total of four nurses, two nurses from each department, were observed. Duration of observation was 2 940 minutes (49 hrs). Results Nurses devote most of their time to administering medicines. It has been noted that there are many additional, unnecessary actions in this process. Likewise nursing staff devotes a lot of time to documentation management work: refills the same dossier when the information is recorded in paper forms, and then transfer it to the computers. For communication with patients, nursing staff spend a very small part of their working time and it is due to insufficient staff and stress and fatigue of the nurses. It is observed that the nurses of neurology and internal medicine departments spent 50.3 percent of their working time for a direct patient care, 19.3 percent of time - for indirect patient care, 22.3 percent for personal time and 8.0 percent for unit-related functions. According to the Lean methodology waste of overproduction, waiting, defects, bureaucracy, transportation, motion and human potential were identified in these departments. Conclusions Nurses of neurology and internal medicine departments spend most of their time for direct patient care and the least of their time for unit-related duties. Seven out of eight types of waste prevails in therapeutic departments of the district hospital. Key messages Adaptation of the Lean methodology of ’Visual Management’ may aid for optimizing the process of medication administration and diminishing the paper work of nurses. The manifestation of the stress and fatigue of the nurses could be reduced if the workloads of nurses were adjusted and adequately distributed.

Nursing documentation is one of the most important functions for nurses in providing nursing care. The nursing process in the modern era is now a demand from various aspects for nurses. The current development is that nurses must carry out nursing processes based on nursing care standards. The use of electronic nursing documentation can always evolve in line with technological developments, this can increase client life expectancy and reduce errors in intervening with clients. This IT-based documentation system will help in meeting documentation standards, can improve the quality of documentation, facilitate decision making and provide information that is easy to access, can minimize the potential for loss or damage to development records, improve information exchange and coordination between nurses or other health teams, documentation can be easily audited, help improve the accuracy of client data, can access the progress of client health development and reduce maintenance costs so that it can improve the quality of care services.
