Hermeneutics one of the philosophical disciplines of language, began to sound its resonance in 1998 which was first introduced by Hasan Hanafi. The pros and cons of this science still resonate with its loyal followers, and vice versa. There are professors of Islamic universities who have not recognized this knowledge from the beginning, but have not dampened the development of this science itself. So that there are those who equate hermeneutic science such as the science of interpretation and takwil. In Indonesia Aksin wijaya, Sahiron Syamsuddin, Muqsith Ghazali are lecturers who are persistent in developing this hermeneutic theory which is still productive until now. Hermeneutics is needed to understand the Koran, especially to answer contemporary problems oriented to human values ??that have not yet been resolved in classical interpretations according to Sayyid Husein Nasr. This is one of the reasons for accepting hermeneutics. There are also those who reject it and some are moderate, for example M. Quraish shihab.

Polygamy is one area that is still warm to be discussed. Sensitivity is very flexible when faced with psychological and emotional factors of women. In this part, there was a polemic and many rejected it. And not a few women also agree to polygamy. There is also in the realm of economics, power and order of disharmony become part of the reasons for men to carry it out heavily. Because this part demands justice. It is at this point that the focus of study and academic anxiety is viewed from the aspect of hermeneutic science. The term hermeneutics is often used as a method of interpretation in the Qur'an because hermeneutics is the reading of texts from the historical side and the relativity of life. Even more hermeneutics is interpreted as an understanding of the contextual to look for the meaning behind the text of the verse. Related to the interpretation of the verse polygamy, among some classical commentators say that, the context of polygamy in the Qur'an is still permissible, because the interpretation uses the understanding of the text in the sense that it is in accordance with what is mentioned in the Qur'an without considering the implications will happen in life. However, there are contemporary scholars who offer to be tested and reviewed their sociological value so that social disintegration does not occur. This is an interesting issue in Fazlurrahman's thought to try to reinterpret themes related to polygamy using the hermeneutic approach. Thus, this paper highlights Fazlur Rahman's hermeneutic approach that has been applied in interpreting verses of polygamy in the Qur'an.

Abstract The concept of hermeneutic science is outlined by Habermas as a reflection within the ordinary language, addressed to the dialogic dimension of intersubjective recognition and connected to the juridical guarantee. The guarantee function fulfilled by the discursive agreement towards every real dialogue is obvious: it indicates the main reference point for the regulation and coordination of social action, tracing a line of demarcation between being and having to be, facts and norms. Speech, communicative agreement and legal guarantee are mutually qualified terms where the public discussion of institutional issues makes it possible to define the normative validity as non-assimilatory generality, placed beyond any populistic yearning, tracing a line of demarcation between law and power. The idea of deliberative democracy expresses the relationship and distinction between the universalism of rights and the factuality of the norm issuing, between the idea of good and the idea of right, in order to support democratic decision-making legitimacy. Combining the reasons of the markets with those of civil solidarity, through independent forms of regulation both from the obsolete state sovereignties and from the traditional international perspectives, represents a primary challenge of the Habermasian theory where the critical role of the rational public sphere appears fundamental.

Abstract Kant in his critical metaphysics, as one might call his transcendental philosophy, proceeds from the syncategorematic, subject-sided forms of thinking, which are revealed by general logic qua doctrine of the inferences of reason (i. e. syllogistics), and assigns to them one-to-one categorematic, object-sided forms of thinking: the categories qua pure, non-empirical predicates of things. Kant then shows in his transcendental deduction that the categories are objectively, – i. e. without our invasive intervention – valid of all things in space-time. In the present essay, philosophy is understood not so much as critical metaphysics in a narrow sense of “metaphysics”, but rather as the a priori hermeneutic science; and the transcendental deduction of the categories is replaced by arguments for (1) a readability thesis and (2) a theory of the a priori presuppositions of referencing things in space and time. The readability thesis states that things can be read (1) as world-sided primal tokens (ur-tokens) of proper names of themselves and also (2) as world-sided primal tokens (ur-tokens) of elementary propositions about them. The theory of the a priori presuppositions clarifies the conditions of the possibility of subjects orienting themselves in space and time and being able to refer, first, to themselves qua embodied thinkers and then as well to arbitrary individual items.

AbstractIn a datafied and mediatized society, many new topics for rhetoric emerge. The core question of rhetoric, how people pursue certain goals by speech and how to convince other people, is, for example, challenged by technical actors like social bots. Moreover, machine-controlled processes of opinion-forming question the validity and acknowledgement of the principle of discourse. In general, the significance of strategic communication is increasing on the Internet. In this context, we can observe a growing amount of visual content, realtime-publics, a dealing with topics of everyday life and an aiming for »authenticity«. Further to mention is the specific function of data as a rhetorical means. Within this scope, the expertise of rhetoric as a hermeneutic science comes to the fore. It plays an important role as a methodological anchor and allows to arrive at well-justified assessments in relation to the quality and the claim to validity of communication in a multifaceted public sphere.
