Life Skills Of Pre-Service Teachers: A Comparative Study

Teachers have a pivotal role in our education system. However, inefficiency in teachers can affect the very foundation of this education system and which in turn will lead to the downfall of society and the nation. It is well said that the quality of education depends on the quality of teachers, so it is essential to prepare a quality teacher. As the teacher acts as transmitter of knowledge, motivator, and manager so it is dire need to train the prospective teacher in Life skills. According to WHO life skills have been defined as “the abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enables individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life”. The present study include ten Life skills as suggested by WHO i.e. Self-awareness skill, Interpersonal skill, Effective Communication skill, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Coping with Stress, Coping with Emotion, and Empathy. A descriptive survey method is used for this study. The data of 100 pre-service teachers in which 40 female and 60 male pre-service teachers, were collected by random cluster sampling technique from two B.Ed. colleges of Ghaziabad affiliated to C.C.S. University Meerut in Ghaziabad district. Moreover, t-test is used as a statistical technique to compare the life skills between male and female pre-service teachers. However, the investigator found no significant difference between the male and female pre-service teachers in their Life Skills.

Artificial recharge through treated waste water

Artificial recharge is a process where water is introduced into the subsurface and is directly linked to the amount of water that enters an aquifer through human controlled means. Water that has been negatively affected in quality by human is termed as wastewater and it must be treated before it is used for artificial recharge of the ground water. The growth rate of various development sectors of the country is dependent on the availability of water resources therefore conservation, reclamation and reuse of water are receiving great importance.

Effectiveness of Blended Learning in Learning Biological Science At Standard XI

The major purpose of the study was to explore the impact of blended learning on the achievements of students. The study was experimental type. Equivalent group study design was used. The collected data of both groups were analysed and interpreted using mean, standard deviation and t-test, and conclusions were drawn. The results of the study were in the favour of blended learning approach, therefore, it is suggested that this approach should be widely used in conventional classroom at various levels of education.

The neglected role of Student-Faculty Interaction in Quality of Indian Higher Education

There are various ways to enhance the quality of education in universities as it is an essential vitamin in the diet of students’ learning. The research paper focuses particularly on student- faculty interaction which is generally a neglected aspect. The authors adopted intensive secondary research to understand and analyze the role of student-faculty interaction in enhancing the quality of education. Besides, the authors also conducted primary research for economics students for analysis. The authors found that the research in this field is rarely taken up in India by academicians and thus, there are a lot of gaps to fill. There are no large-scale studies conducted to provide evidence regarding the impact of interaction on students and how it is affected by gender, social class, and ethnicity.

Judicial Pronouncement on Women Crime Victims in India: A Critical Study

In India the Constitution makers were aware of the discrimination women faced in the society. Preamble is the soul of the Constitution it provides equality of status and opportunities to women. Judiciary reflected it’s mind through judgment. In series of judgments Judiciary have categorically stated there is discrimination prevailing and the women are facing bias and prejudice in the society. Supreme Court of India struck down the discriminatory policies and attitude of society in the series of judgments and also directed the legislature to form laws to protect women. It is the Vishakha guidelines which led to The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. Supreme Court states it is the duty of the government to protect the life and dignity No individual or group has the right to interfere in a consensual and legal relationship between two adults the court opined in Nitish Katara Case. The Central government stated before the court it was consulting with states to draft a law against honour killings.

Economic Impacts of Post Pandemic Cyber Crimes – A Global Overview

Cybercrimes have become as common as petty crimes and at every level we can face situations that make us vulnerable to cybercrimes through links, text messages on phones, scam phone calls etc. that demand to sensitive information and misuse them. The 2019-2021 Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2) Pandemic has shown a drastic increase in cybercrimes. As use of technology, remote access work and communication rise, increase in digital process increase, it has also made people vulnerable to many different types of cyber-attacks such as phishing, malwares and social engineering. It has also resulted in commercial theft of intellectual property. This paper tries to throw light on economic loses that have occurred due to cybercrimes.
