Drapery fabrics are textile products utilized for home and decorative textiles. Recently there have been new functional requirements for the drapery fabrics such as flame retardancy, antimicrobial efficiency, UV protection, etc. This study has been conducted to investigate the effect of weft yarn type and weft density on drapery fabrics' burning behaviour, tearing strength and air permeability properties. "A special inherently flame-retardant yarn" was used as the warp and weft yarns of the woven drapery fabrics while "a special inherently and antibacterial yarn" was also used as the weft yarn in some of the sample groups. Two main fabric groups each consisting of 12 woven drapery samples with different weft yarns and weft densities were separately evaluated among themselves by using SPSS Statistical software package and bar graphs. Burning behaviours of the samples in terms of damage length and damage width with the ignition source were satisfying both for the drapery samples with the special inherently flame-retardant weft yarn as well as those with the special inherently flame retardant and antibacterial yarn weft yarns. In other words, usage of inherently flame retardant and antibacterial yarn as the weft yarns did not contribute negatively on the flame retardancy of drapery fabrics. The results of two-way ANOVA test indicated that weft yarn type was a significant factor for tearing strength in warp and weft wise while weft density and the interaction of weft yarn type and weft density factors were non-significant factors on tear strength values in warp and weft wises at significance level of 0.05. Additionally, correlation analyses revealed that weft yarn tenacity values were highly correlated with the drapery fabrics' weft tearing strength values. Moreover, weft yarn type, weft density and their interaction were influential factors on air permeability of the drapery fabrics at significance level of 0.05.

The pandemic that hit the world in 2020 significantly affected global business and the fashion industry. Companies have been forced to rethink their current way of doing business, while consumers have reviewed their priorities, emerging needs and constraints, care for health, the environment, and the community. All these aspects together have shaped a slightly different global fashion market and companies' business practices, which have made great efforts to maintain their status, audience, and sales. The focus of this paper is Milan's "Fashion Week" held during 2020 and innovative technological solutions that serve to compensate for the limitations imposed by circumstances. Also, there's a few words about other (un)predictable situations such as price fluctuations, closure of production plants, overcoming safety and environmental challenges, and sustainable business.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the production of textiles and clothing, which is the result of an increase in the global population and an improvement in living standards. The consequence of this fact is the unlimited use of resources for the needs of the production process of textiles and clothing, as well as an increase in the amount of generated textile waste, which is currently not treated adequately. For the textile industry to have a chance in the future to take advantage of environmental, economic and social opportunities that it is currently unable to do, it is necessary to transform the current, linear system into a circular system. The paper presents the possibility of implementing the basic principles of the circular economy in the textile and clothing industry. According to the principles of the circular economy, the textile industry is based on the realization of four activities: elimination of unwanted substances and release (emission) of microfibers, increasing the utilization of clothing, improving the recycling sector, efficient use of resources and switching to renewable sources.

An important element of the policy of development and modernization of each country is the establishment of a program of balanced long-term development, which must be complementary with strategic priorities and national characteristics, as well as the real state and prospects of technical and technological development of science and industry. Therefore, manufacturing entrepreneurship today, would have to combine scientific research activities, education sector and public administration with production, in order to ensure efficient acquisition of new knowledge and skills, along the generation and production-economic valorization of innovations and diffusion and implementation of technical-technological innovations and new technologies, with priority reliance on ICT (information and communication technologies). It is obvious that sustainable competitiveness, in times of general and business globalization, is no longer in quantitative-qualitative aspects of production, but in new elements of production specialization, adequate and timely implementation of technical-technological innovations, in organizational innovations, in the way cluster business and in global efficiency, as well as in close and flexible connection of design, planning, production technologies and production, with the possibility of quick response (JustInTime and QuickResponseSystem) to the changes required by the market. That is why today the issue of redefining the way of work and business of textile/clothing industry companies is more than current, in fact the issue of redefining the strategic programs of economic development of developing countries.

Medical textile is an extremely important subcategory of technical textile because it is covering a wide range of products. The term medical textile itself covers all types of textile materials that are used in the healthcare system for various purposes. Medical textile is also known as health textile and is one of the fastest growing sectors in the technical textile market. The growth rate of technical textiles in this area is due to constant improvements and innovations in both areas: textile technologies and medical procedures. Textile structures used in this field include yarns, woven, knitted and non-woven textile materials as well as composite materials reinforced with textiles. The number of applications is large and diverse, from simple surgical sutures to complex composite structures for bone and tissue replacement, hygiene materials, protective products used in operating rooms and in the process of postoperative wound treatment. The purpose of this paper is to emphasize the importance of technical textiles for medical, surgical and healtcare applications, to indicate which textiles are currently used in this field.

This article investigates the tensile and twist failure of mulberry and tasar silk filaments. The mulberry and tasar filaments were subjected to uniaxial loading on Instron tensile tester at different rate of extensions and gauge lengths. Furthermore, the number of turns to rupture the silk filaments was tested using a twist tester. The results showed that the mulberry filament has higher tensile and twist strength than that of tasar filament. The SEM photomicrographs of the region of fracture divulged that the tensile and twist failure of mulberry and tasar filaments take place in catastrophic and non-catastrophic modes, respectively.

Garment industry has developed different kind of machinery which replaces traditional manual blindstitchig techniques to ensure much higher work productivity. Many companies produce universal and specialized blindstitch machines for men suit manufacturing. To create invisible stitches of class 100 and 300, blind stitch machine uses a curved needle. The machines perform 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3.stitch pattern. The advanced machines secure the end of the seam creating invisible thread knot or forming several spot/tack stitches. The machines use to have automatic thread cutter, presser foot lifter and needle positioner. The machines for different quality materials are available. For specific applications machines are equipped with different auxiliary devices. Blind hemming of trousers and lined and unlined jackets are performed with stitches 103, 105, 313.

Fit is one of the major concerns for the clothing industry, and pattern development process is significant during clothing manufacturing and the way clothing is constructed. Various pattern making methods have been introduced to the industry considering clothing fit satisfaction, but it is still impossible to provide the optimized clothing pattern for mass production. The aim of this paper is practical implications about 3D virtual fit simulation technology as a fit assessment tool in the fashion industry i.e. to predict the behavior of women's pants in relation to fitting and comfort in different poses of avatar. This was done by application CAD Clo 3D fashion design software.

The city of Shtip is the main garment production center in the Eastern part of the Republic of North Macedonia. The textile industry participates with 70% in the total achievements of the industry in the Municipality. There are over 60 companies for production of clothes in Shtip, and among their most important partners are Germany, Italy, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands. Most of the clothing companies are organized as small or medium enterprises for production of casual clothes such as shirts, blouses, etc., which operate on the basis of the "LON" (LOHN) production system.

Bankruptcy is a risk that any company can face, regardless of its size. The importance of predicting a company's bankruptcy for years before its development is enormous, and it is important for financial sustainability. Financial reporting is an important platform for making financial decisions of investors and creditors. In recent years, the frequency of false financial reporting by firms has increased and there are concerns about investors' confidence in capital market. Academics and industry experts adopt a variety of risk management techniques to detect fraudulent financial reporting. A case study was applied in this paper. Based on publicly available financial data (disclosed financial statements) of a domestic textile company for the period 2017-2020, whose shares are listed on the stock exchange, a survey was conducted based on the application of Altman's Z-Score model and Beneish M-Score model. Financial distress is an important criterion to monitor when assessing the likelihood of fraud reporting. When a company is operating poorly, there is a greater motivation to engage in fraudulent financial reporting. The findings show that the results differ according to the applied method in terms of identifying the possibility of bankruptcy and the possibility of fraud in the financial statements of the observed company. The results of the study can be important to investors, auditors, regulators, bankers, tax and other government bodies.
