In accordance with the requirements of intelligent and scientific maintenance and repair for rail transit, the on-line monitoring and intelligent assessment technologies for infrastructure safety as well as vibration and noise indexes are studied. In connection with the line status of the Shanghai rail transit network, typical line sections are selected to lay out the online status monitoring equipment so as to track health and safety indexes of rails and real-time noise and vibration levels. By means of online real-time data collection and synchronous analysis technology, the Shanghai rail transit online monitoring system for track safety status and its vibration and noise takes shape, thereby achieving real-time monitoring for on-site vibration and noise as well as safety status, and providing assistant decision-making reports in connection with relevant index systems and in accordance with relevant time periods.

In terms of the requirements for obstacle detection in the rail transit application field, an architecture and implementation method for active obstacle detection system based on the fusion of video recognition and lidar information is proposed. The studies on the video recognition algorithms based on deep learning neural network and lidar for orbit area recognition, pedestrian vehicle recognition, and small foreign object recognition are analyzed, and the necessity of the fusion of video recognition and lidar data and the related key technical points are discussed. Through the tests on domestic metro and tram lines, the feasibility of the scheme is verified, and the technical parameters are optimized, which can effectively reduce the probability of accidents caused by foreign object intrusion.

The traditional rolling stock maintenance model based on planned repairs and fault repairs cannot meet the needs of the rolling stock operation and maintenance for superlarge-scaled networks. There is an urgent need to establish a highly automated and information-based rolling stock intelligent operation and maintenance system based on online monitoring. This paper introduces the composition, main functions and application situations for the Shanghai rail transit intelligent rolling stock operation and maintenance system as well as suggestions for further work related thereto so as to provide references for the development of the rolling stock intelligent operation and maintenance system of the rail transit industry.

As the Vehicle Branch of Shanghai Metro Maintenance Guarantee Co., Ltd. is making continued progress in refined management, it requires increasing fine data granularity, together with increasing needs for data analysis. Therefore, the existing serial-number-based device trees can no longer meet continuous increasing management requirements, which necessitates a new device tree system. This paper has proposed a new device tree system for rail transit. Based on the physical locations of rail transit devices, the system proposed can associate the location information with property information, equipment serial number, and fault trees. Hence a subway vehicle and fault management system based on device trees was established. Based on the actual situation and management requirements of the Vehicle Branch, this paper has developed a location-based device tree management system and coding scheme, and introduced its advantages in management.
