Objective - This paper sought to determine whether a constructionist pedagogical approach to digital archives education could positively influence student perceptions of their learning. Constructionism is a learning theory that places students in the role of designers and emphasizes creating tangible artifacts in a social environment. This theory was used in the instructional design of the Digital Archive Creation Project (DACP), a major component of a digital archives course offered to students enrolled in a Master’s program in library science at Pratt Institute School of Library and Information Science. Methods - Participants were the 31 students enrolled in the DACP during the fall and spring semesters of 2010. They were surveyed as to their perceived learning outcomes as a result of their engagement with the DACP. Results - Results indicated that students perceived strong increases in their learning following their engagement in the DACP, particularly in terms of their skills, confidence, understanding of topics covered in other courses, and overall understanding. Factors that influenced these increases include the collaborative teamwork, the role of the facilitator or instructor, and individual effort. Conclusion - The project demonstrated that a constructionist pedagogical approach to digital archives education positively impacted students’ perceptions of their learning.

Kata kunci: kearsipan, media pembelajaran, microsoft access THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING MEDIA ARCHIVES TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES SMK NEGERI 3 SURAKARTAAbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of instructional media digital archives in improving student learning outcomes SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta. This study is a research and development (R & D). Models using the model of media development Hannafin and Peck. Subjects testing was conducted in two classes, X AP 1 (experimental class) and X AP 2 (control group) at SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta. Prerequisite test analysis covering the normality test, homogeneity and using t-test. The analysis technique used descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that the effectiveness of digital archival media learning that tcount> ttable = (3.26> 2.00), then H0 is rejected, it means that the two groups had different learning achievement scores. Results posttest between the experimental class (using the media developed) with a control class (do not use the media developed) shows that the average value obtained experimental class is 80.59, the average value is higher than the control class 77, 97. Conclusion this research is the development of instructional media digital archives are considered effective in improving student learning outcomes SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta. Keywords: archives, learning media, microsoft access

The aim of this study to improve the learning achievement of class VIIB students of MTs Darul Amin Palangka Raya in learning the history of Islamic culture using information search method. This research was conducted by class action research method consisting of three steps, namely planning, implementation, and reflection. Research has been carried out in three cycles. The first cycle obtained the implementation of information searchl methods with not so good categories and learning completeness of 22.22%. The second cycle, the involvement of learning in a good category with learning completeness 74%. The third cycle, learning using information search method was carried out well and optimal completeness was 94%. Thus, it can be agreed that information search method has a positive impact on improving student learning outcomesKeywords: Information Search; Learning outcomes; Islamic History; Action Research; Cycle

The Council for Clinical Certification in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CCFC) sets accreditation standards and these standards list broad domains of knowledge with specific coverage of “the appropriate etiologies, characteristics, anatomical/physiological, acoustic, psychological, developmental, and linguistic and cultural correlates” and assessment, intervention, and methods of prevention for each domain” (CCFC, 2013, “Standard IV-C”). One domain in the 2014 standards is “voice and resonance.” Studies of graduate training programs suggest that fewer programs require coursework in cleft palate, the course in which resonance was traditionally taught. The purpose of this paper is to propose a standardized learning outcomes specific to resonance that would achieve the minimum knowledge required for all entry-level professionals in speech-language pathology. Graduate programs and faculty should retain flexibility and creativity in how these learning outcomes are achieved. Shared learning objectives across programs would serve programs, faculty, students, accreditation site visitors, and the public in assuring that a consistent, minimum core knowledge is achieved across graduate training programs. Proficiency in the management of individuals with resonance disorders would require additional knowledge and skills.

Abstract. Escalation of commitment occurs when a course of action is continued despite repeated drawbacks (e.g., maintaining an employment relationship despite severe performance problems). We analyze process accountability (PA) as a de-escalation technique that helps to discontinue a failing course of action and show how time moderates both the behavioral and cognitive processes involved: (1) Because sound decisions should be based on (hopefully unbiased) information search, which requires time to gather, the effect of PA on de-escalation increases over time. (2) Because continuing information search creates behavioral commitment, the debiasing effect of PA on information search diminishes over time. (3) Consistent with the tunnel vision notion, the effects of less biased information search on de-escalation decrease over time.
