A digital clock system designed by using VHDL hardware description language is presented in this paper. The proposed architecture fully utilizes the digital clock system available on FPGA chips based top-down design method in the Quartus II development environment. The Clock system is divided into four design modules: core module, frequency_division module, display module and tune module. It not only can time accurately and display time, but also can reset and adjust time. The LED lights will flash and the loudspeaker will tell time on the hour. The architecture is implemented and verified experimentally on a FPGA board. Because of the universality of digital clock and the portability of VHDL language, it can be applied directly in various designs based on FPGA chip.

After studying the relationship between the moisture content of crops and their relative permittivity, the principle of capacitive sensor and the research results of measuring micro-capacitance, this paper summarizes the theoretical basis of dielectric properties of grain, the dielectric properties of wheat, corn and rice, the relationship between the dielectric properties of these crops and their water content. With these theory analyses, the paper gives a full look on the grain moisture detection system by the means of dielectric properties, which consists of six parts, a cylindrical capacitor, signal conditioning circuits, single-chip control module with an A/D converter, temperature detection module, keyboard module and display module. The system is simple, and can adapt to extreme environment and accomplish the rapid detection in manufacturing. A description is given of the principle, its hardware circuit and software programming flow chart.

An intelligent thermometer system design is presented in this paper. There are temperature sensor module, data collection module, data processing module, keyboard number tube module, voice module and LCD display module in this system. Due to excellent performance of temperature sensor, temperature sensor is used in system to obtain the temperature, transform the voltage, amplify OP precisely, and get 12 bits accuracy of samples. In order to make the system interface friendly, embedded software is developed to realize such functions as alarm temperature settings, LED screen display, audio playback and so on.

The optical images collected by remotely operated vehicles (ROV) contain a lot of information about underwater (such as distributions of underwater creatures and minerals), which plays an important role in ocean exploration. However, due to the absorption and scattering characteristics of the water medium, some of the images suffer from serious color distortion. These distorted color images usually need to be enhanced so that we can analyze them further. However, at present, no image enhancement algorithm performs well in any scene. Therefore, in order to monitor image quality in the display module of ROV, a no-reference image quality predictor (NIPQ) is proposed in this paper. A unique property that differentiates the proposed NIPQ metric from existing works is the consideration of the viewing behavior of the human visual system and imaging characteristics of the underwater image in different water types. The experimental results based on the underwater optical image quality database (UOQ) show that the proposed metric can provide an accurate prediction for the quality of the enhanced image.

This paper set up a data acquisition system by AT89C52 single chip microcomputer as control core, using the RS-232 serial manner communicated with responsibled for data acquisition of microprocessor, and used LED to display. System can be divided into data acquisition module, serial communication module, control module, keyboard module, display module, etc. System of multi-channel data acquisition can be displayed in the LED after processed. The hardware circuit and software realized design functions :data acquisition and LED display.
